Star Camp is free and part of the all-inclusive experience at Iberostar and features more than 140 age-based activities based on the approach and theory of multiple intelligences, which advocates personal growth through cooperation.

Mar 06, 2025Spectacular vacation in spectacular hotel
We visited the Iberostar Hacienda Dominicus for the first time. The hotel premises are spacious and magnificent. The reception manager, Mr. Hector, was always available to us and met all our requirements. We had a serious problem with accomodation caused by our travel agency, but Mr. Hector promptly solved it, allways with a smile on his face. All the hotel staff are very nice and helpful. When communicating with the regular staff, knowledge of Spanish is an advantage. At the reception and in key positions, there are employees with whom you can speak English or German. The hotel complex enchanted us with its beautiful and perfectly maintained garden full of peacocks. The rooms and hotel areas were always clean. The hotel beach and sunbeds were clean every morning as well. The monumental pool and pool bars were never crowded with guests. We really liked the bartender named Jesus. Every morning and afternoon, Jesus welcomed us with our favorite drink. Continuing with gastronomy, buffet restaurant for every day dining, did not let itself down as well, with fresh beef steaks and large number of other delicios courses to choose from. From options of ala card restaurants we tried french restaurant La Colonial wich completely blown are mind and lived up way above our expatations. A special chapter is the animation programs. The boys and girls who took care of the guests were just perfect. They had various activities prepared for children and adults every day and also during the everning when they prepared spectacular shows including fire show, carneval, dance, magic schow and plenty of others. Special thanks diserves animators: Isabel, Bellota, Zugeidy, Powel, Marcia, Yay, Scooby, Faraon, Mikiway and Sexy Black. The hotel also offers trips to different parts of the island. We recommend you to visit the nature reserve on the island of Saona where you can arrive by catamaran. We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful hotel and we believe that we will come back here again soon.

Great vacation
This was the eleventh time we have been visiting this place. Truly amazing Grisy Joseph at front desk was super pleasant and helpful. At the buffet Anna was very nice all the time Food was great and service was excellent. All the restaurants were great. It’s getting better and better every year. Can’t wait to go back again

Mar 03, 2025Beautiful beach/Bad tummy
Clean and well-maintained grounds and room. Staff was friendly but, as non-spanish speaking tourists, communication was at times difficult. Water and beach were quite lovely with no seaweed and we enjoyed sunset swims. However, our whole party of 4 got sick with an incapacitating gastro-intestinal illness starting on days 02&03 which lasted on average 2 days (so 1/3rd of trip). We could not leave hotel room and it took a week to fully recover. We don't all live together so it is unlikely we imported illness from home. I note other guests who wrote reviews from Feb also reported similar illnesses. Friends of ours who visited resort over the Christmas break also all got sick. The hotel app is devoid of any helpful content and none of our dinner reservations made on it were correct. The dinner reservation people told us not to use it as there were many problems. The schedule of daily activities was only posted in the main lobby (also not in app?) and that broke on Day 03 and was not fixed. We have stayed at other Iberostars in the past (Cozumel and Maya Riviera which we really enjoyed). We will not be returning to this one.

Great food, people, grounds, views

Beautiful water and beach, family friendly. Very nice resort. The entertainers are great and really keep the public engaged! Shout out to Aquaman, Spicy, sexiblakc. Everyone is super friendly and do a great job. Beautiful escape from the winter.

There was a complete renovation of its 528 rooms with high-tech installations and refurbishment of bathrooms and furniture. Also, we highlight the renovation of one of the pools to include a new Bubble Pool and the Lobby Bar. Star Camp, dedicated to the entertainment of children and teenagers with multicultural and educational programs.

SPRING BREAK GROUPS POLICY - Students/youth are considered between 16 and 23 years of age. In addition to the Spring Break Policy for all bookings traveling March-April, Groups shall adhere to the following conditions:- Any student/youth group must be pre-approved and will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
- Upon check-in, each group will be required to leave refundable cash deposit per room for any charges or damages that might be incurred during the stay.
