Party atmosphere blues
Let me start by saying the location and the hotel itself were great Food, service and staff all good as well. But the reasons I’m giving the rating are mostly of the “party atmosphere” at the hotel. I totally get it if that’s what you’re into. I wish I had known that the music and D.J. are going most of the day. We had a swim up room facing the main pool area and there was not much quiet time until the end of the day. I guess buyer beware and should’ve done some better research. Also I get it that smoking weed is ok, and I’m not against it, although not my thing, but odor of weed is very pervasive. And, lastly, totally not the hotels fault the people directly above us were involved in several loud, profane domestic squabbles which added to the overall mood. Again staff were great.

Perfect Beach Trip at Zilara
I booked a quick 48-hour trip to Jamaica on my own, and the Zilara was everything I needed. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel room was clean and well-maintained; everywhere, from the hallway to the elevator, smelled nice. My balcony in my room was gorgeous. The food was fantastic. The resort was beautiful - I stayed on the adult-only side, but I did walk to the other restaurants to explore. There were so many pretty sights, from the fire pits at night to the jacuzzis and pools. They even had a hookah area for anyone who wanted to use it. I hope to come back here with my partner or with some girlfriends someday!

Hyatt Zilara Stay
I had a great time at Hyatt Zilara. The service was good 95% of the time with a couple of exceptions but for the most part, everyone was really kind and welcoming. I had an ocean view room which was really pool view - I’d have to go to the balcony and look around the corner and between the trees to see the ocean. If you’re looking for a relaxing and quiet vacation this ain’t it. The pool is jumping and if you can’t handle that aspect, skip this resort or go to the kids side. Or stay at the beach. The beach worked well for me. People also reserve seats EARLY in the am. I saw some folks protesting but a simple read of the reviews states it’s the culture of the place. For a good poolside seat, you’ll need to put your towel down and a piece of personal property around 5 am - yes 5 am. For something beach side, which was where I stayed, 7 am is the latest you can get out there before you’ll have to go with an unshaded seat. There are always seats it’s just the location that’s in demand. The food was average with the best food being at Calypso and the Parisian spot. The better breakfast is on the Ziva side. The options for room service are limited if you’re a vegetarian or pescatarian and they charge you $10 per room service order so keep that in mind. All in all, would I go back? Maybe. My room was fantastic. It was just loud outside at times but that calmed down around 5 or 6.

Beautiful Resort
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and plenty to choose from at the buffets. The pizza at the beach was very good. We ate at the Italian (twice) French and Asian specialty restaurants, they were all delicious. The property was beautiful, very clean and well kept. Rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. We will definitely be back to the Hyatt Zilara.
