My daughter and I visited the Hyatt Zilara from Friday to Tuesday for my spring break and her birthday. We were greeted by name when we pulled up to the lobby and handed beautiful glasses of fresh tropical juice. We had to wait about 25 minutes for check-in but were seated in comfortable chairs in the open-air lobby. Check-in was smooth, we declined the option to visit their vacation club properties (after long day of travel, that was not the time to ask us) and went to our room. Our room (101) was large with two beds, a sofa, table and chairs, huge bathroom and shower, and the best part: a walk out patio that was steps from the pool and beachfront! We loved it and sat on the patio before we started our day and when we were wrapping it up. The staff was friendly, the food was very good- excellent, and the gym was large and well-equipped with free weights, machines, and Peloton bikes and treads. We sat at the beach under a palapa and had no trouble securing one each day for us. It was a bit windy so one day we sat at the pool instead and again, no trouble getting chairs and umbrella where we wanted to sit. While we did not partake in the activities in the pool, there were some every day and the entertainment staff works hard to get people involved. We were happy to sit, read, enjoy the breeze, the shade, and the beauty. Being the spring, there was a lot of seaweed that did accumulate at the water's edge which cannot be helped (though it would be nice if if could be collected somehow). The hotel was clean and there were regularly people out and about cleaning, mopping, painting, touching up, etc. There is no food served at the pool (unless you have a cabana) so no trash, and it stays clean. There are also no takeout containers so again, there is no trash. The ravens are plentiful and looking for anything that might be left unattended on your plate at the cafe (or at cabanas) so don't leave your food unattended (another reason the hotel does not have food around the pool). Overall it was a great few days, we would definitely return with the rest of our family or with friends and I would recommend it for your next adults-only, all-inclusive vacation!

Can't wait to return!
This was our third time here and we had a wonderful time! In 2013, when the resort was Secrets Capri, we came for our honeymoon, and returned in 2023 with family from abroad. That time, the resort was Hyatt, and we were quite impressed, so we returned this year, to celebrate a milestone birthday. Whereas the resort itself is not perfect, the staff is what makes it stand out, as everyone delivers the highest customer service. Before we even arrived, Iona (pre-arrival concierge) helped us book a romantic dinner on my birthday, and paved the way, so to speak, to a great customer experience. Once we arrived, the staff made our check-in a smooth and easy experience. Since we arrived prior to 3 PM, we were nonetheless welcomed to eat even before we knew our room number. When we got in, the room was very clean, and we really enjoyed the new furnishings (the remodel occurred a few years ago, right before or 2023 trip, giving the rooms a clean, modern look) and the view. The food was really great throughout our entire stay, and we particularly loved the Italian dining experience at Capri, which is a super elegant, romantic environment, matched by the exquisite food. Here we enjoyed a five course meal that tested amazing, and was served with equally amazing customer service. In the mornings, we ate at the buffet, where the food selection was different (and delicious) every time - and Salome, one of the servers there, was outstanding in his service every time (we were lucky to be in his area most of the time we ate there). The most wonderful meal, was our romantic dinner at the gazebo, where Miguel (our server) and Erin (the sommelier) pretty much pampered us throughout the entire dinner. The food was absolutely amazing, as was the privacy and beauty of the dining location. Thanks to Iona and her concierge colleague Yasin, I was also pleasantly surprised by the hotel staff who came with a slice of birthday cake, candle, and champagne - to the cabana they provided for my special day, singing me Happy Birthday. Additionally, when we went to the room, the bed was decorated with red petal roses, and the room looked festive with balloons and more cake :-) That, too, was a wonderful surprise and it added to my day being one of the most special birthdays ever! The entertainment was also great, we enjoyed every show - our most favorite being the guitar player at the garden, as she delivered an unforgettable performance - in an elegant setting. Another evening to remember! Overall, we had a wonderful time and plan to return as soon as possible!

Good visit and surprise old friend
The trip did not start well as we were notified Hyatt Zilara was moving us to a different resort 48hrs before we arrived. We had a group of 18 and with less than 24 hrs before arrival we were back at Hyatt Zilara Rivera Maya. The resort is nice for a smaller resort. Dinner options are slightly limited with only three restaurants, but over all the food was very good. The best part was a surprise to find the best entertainment person, Fermin(ator). Feeling was at a different resort I was at several times previously, and he is the best. Super friendly and funny. Pool staff was also great, especially Julio. I did the tequila tasting with Julio and Fermin, and it was a great experience and I learned a lot. Nightly entertainment was also very good. The entire entertainment staff was great. We did walk to the cenote along the beach. The walk was about 20 minutes, but it was worth it. Nice resort if you are ok with something smaller and limited dining options. Alcohol selection is ok, but no Malibu or Disaronno. Attached are photos of the resort, a few dinners, and the cenote.

Bang for the Buck!!
We just returned from a week's stay at this resort and still love the place. This was our second consecutive trip here. Normally we stay at Secrets and Sandals but after the amazing first time stay last year we headed back - no disappointments at all. The other resorts are pricing themselves out of our comfort zone for a week away. Enrique was our go to guy at the Tempest Japanese restaurant (was our favorite place to eat & were there for more than half the meals) he should be in management- what a great employee the Hyatt folks have in him. ALL the staff at the Coco Cafe started our mornings off on the right foot. The entire resort staff here all seem to genuinely care about their jobs, workplace and customers & much the same as last year will make this an option for us when plan our next trip. Facilities, beach, rooms, food everything was very good! Recommend this place to all!
