Carlos S is the man! Hyatt Reg for the win.
Carlos Sanchez at the pool bar made our 2 days at the pool absolutely, terrific. He learned our drink order by the second round and then again when we changed what we were getting. He was fun, upbeat, friendly and really took care of us. The Hyatt grand reserve was a terrific place to spend a couple of days and we were really comfortable there

Quiet, Corporate, As Expected...
We were there for a corporate rewards trip in early April. Very lovely property, pools and grounds were immaculate and the oceanfront location can't be beat. It is quite remote, so you'd certainly need a vehicle to get to anything not on the resort. Finding a spot on the beach or pool after 10am was a bit of a trick, as there really didn't seem to be enough chairs for people. Outside of the ($38) breakfast brunch, we found the food to be quite lackluster. Our best dinner was at Nectar, which we were told was "technically" not part of the hotel and we couldn't put it on our room charge. It's a resort -- snacks, meals, drinks are all highly overpriced (and weak, especially by the pool)... but it's vacation! The room was very "Hyatt" -- corporate, oddly gray for a beach resort, the tile floor had significant wear, and there were no rugs or warmer/textured furnishings, so the room was certainly not a highlight for us. Our room, any many others, were in furthest back (0s, we were 0414) part of the resort that faced an open/deserted field. Our view was of a chainlink fence and that field. A shame, seeming how many other open rooms seemed to face the pool and/or water. We took out the free bikes one afternoon, but there was really no place to ride them besides the parking lot and the main road along the golf course ... All and all, if it wasn't corporately paid for, would we return? Meh -- probably not. Another corporate group rolled in at the end of our time there, so I imagine this is their bread and butter in the early Springtime.

Nice stay in Puerto Rico.
This is a solid four star resort. The grounds were immaculate and despite several conventions, never felt busy. The rooms were spacious and we had a great view. The staff was friendly and there were plenty of activities at the resort for our family to keep busy. Huge pool, never has an issue getting chairs or towels. A small beach but was never an issue. The gym was a bit small for a resort of this size and was often overcrowded in the morning. In addition, while the food was good if you are staying more than three or four nights you can run out of options. We were there for six nights and had to repeat a few meals. The resort is not very close to alternatives, so your forced to work with the restaurants on site. If you are going to venture out to Old San Juan or El Yunque national park, I’d highly recommend getting a rental car. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend the property.

All that it claimed to be & more
We traveled as extended family with kids under 2 with villa & regular room. Both room types were great & spacious. Staff was very accommodating with kids needs. The resort has a beautiful setting, very friendly staff, great food & drinks, well worth the stay! I recommend this resort!
