Mar 27, 2025The staff is the best part of this resort!
There Was maintenance going on underneath our window in the middle of the night. I'm talking metal grinders, hammering and electric saws. We did nit get annocean view room as promised. However, Our butler Ricardo was outstanding! He did a great job and always checked in with us to see if we needed anything! He definitely made the experience better!

This year our four weeks included having three other couples join us and all were impressed with the quality of this first class resort. Repeatedly we heard what we already knew, that the cleanliness, grounds beautification, excellence of food services and varied menus in no less than seven different restaurants to choose from, outstanding pool options for all ages and above all the quality of service from virtually every employee encountered being outstanding: from concierge’s, to chamber maids, poolside bar servers, entertainers, recreation staff, butlers, bartenders, waiters, fishing guides and managers! All of our guests enjoyed their stays and plan to be back. Thank you El Cid for another wonderful vacation at this favourite resort, we see as a second home! We would like to acknowledge the outstanding service we received from Paulina Jimenez and Mary Herrara who provided outstanding, professional and efficient service in the Platinum Club, they were as always welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. We also received top notch service from our two butlers, Ricardo Bros and Sebastian Moyao, who greeted us each day with a smile and an eagerness to look after whatever we wanted or needed. Thank you to Paulina, Mary, Ricardo and Sebastian! We look forward to seeing you again next February!!!

Keeps getting better and better!
We absolutely LOVE El CID, this was our 6th time there and it keeps getting better. We are so impressed with the consistently good service, cleanliness, food, and recreation. The improvements to the beach (we loved kayaking and snorkeling) and new additions (rooftop bars and new restaurants) continue to make this resort wonderful. The hardworking staff create the most wonderful experience and we love that it continues to be a family friendly resort. Shoutout to the beach maintenance crew - so impressive and all of the food staff - servers, chefs, etc and the grounds crew - wow it’s Beautiful. Manuel Diaz and Are Mendez are exceptional butlers Our favorite restaurants were Italian, French, seafood, Hibachi is always fun and we loved the buffet for breakfast - omelet staff are outstanding! The food overall is wonderful! Thank you all, we hope to be back soon!

The butlers and servers were wonderful!
Butlers Omar, Gerson and Alan were great!! They were very attentive and so friendly!! They all worked well together to communicate our needs to each other and even answered texts when they weren’t working. Very professional and friendly. Can’t wait to come again!

Are and Manuel
This resort is an amazing experience. It never fails to provide the best in service. I was lucky that for 2 years in a row Are Mendez and Manuel Diaz took care of all our needs. Their attention to ensuring we were well taken care of is unsurpassed. Every day they ensured I knew their work schedule. Every day they asked if I had any special request. And if I did, these two gentlemen made sure my request was taken care of. This is my favorite vacation spot because of the amazing staff, great food, and overall experience.
