  Great value for your money!

  We just returned from a week at the Aruba Holiday Inn resort, and look forward to returning. Check in was fast , however our desk person was very short tempered, we asked that our bracelets be fitted loose enough that we could remove them when we slept and she went ballistic! We also asked to be in a tower connected directly to the hotel (Ocean Tower) because my husband has trouble walking a distance, she replied that we were but we were placed in the Sea tower which is the furthest away! We rented a mobility scooter $200 for 5-7 days and it was a life saver! The distance from the front door to the beach is a very short walk! The resort has 1/4 mile of beautiful beach with lots of water toys, floats and excursions close by! Going out of the front door and across the street are endless stores and resturants ! We tried Pomm’s for brunch a delicious American breakfast and Dutch Apple pancake at very reasonable prices! Further to the south , about 1/2 mile is Lola’s Craft Taqueria , excellent for lunch or dinner. Great lobster taco and lobster roll! Back to the resort, just a basic hotel room , but very clean , comfortable beds and good A. C. ! Tried Corals and Sea Breeze resturants and they were excellent! Staff were very accommodating except for one! Resort has a small fitness area, spa, several stores, casino, pool area bar, but no pool servers! The resort had a variety of ages of guests, families, young children, class trips and senior citizens! It was very quiet at night except for some noise from the dance club just past the sea tower. If you are in Sea Tower ask to be on the side facing the pool. Wish the resort had wristbands with built in room keys! You need your key card to access all public bathrooms and that was inconvenient ! Overall we felt it was an excellent value for the money, we booked through Costco and got several perks thru them. We look forward to returning!

  Seabreeze!!

  Waitress Veronica at Seabreeze was amazing and the friendliest ever!! The tuna wrap, burger, and poke bowl were delicious and timely! Our drinks were lovely! Veronica captured a beautiful picture for us and had the most pleasant demeanor! Loved the ocean view and our lunch!

  Great spot I recommend anyone to visit.

  Carolina gave us excellent service all week with a smile. The food was good with a great variety of breakfast foods and clean dining area. I would definitely recommend including the breakfast buffet in your stay while at the resort. It is a bit pricey but definitely worth it.

  Satisfactory due to location

  We booked through JetBlue Vacations and had an unfortunate problem during check-in. While I know that I booked a two bed Ocean Front view room at an extra expense, I was told by the front desk that I must have mistakenly booked a Ocean Front with a King Sized bed. While attempting to sort out the confusion, another guest returned to the counter to complain that his room had a king sized bed rather than the two beds he booked through JetBlue. Overall, I do not believe that this Hotel has Ocean Front Rooms w/Two Queen Beds despite it being available through JetBlue. I believe the front desk routinely goes through this song and dance with guests and after 10 hours of travel, this is the last thing someone wants to deal with. The manager offered to comp a cot which I slept on for the duration of our stay. Pros: House Keeping was exceptional, timely, and polite. The location cannot be beat with restaurants, shopping, and entertainment across the street. The beach is closer to the hotel than other properties. The location is close to many of the food establishments and shops along the beach. Cons: Hotel restaurants were expensive, for instance breakfast for three was approximately $90 with tip. The hotel could use some remodeling. They don't appear to have an events or entertain staff and there wasn't even music playing at the pools. There is no microwaves available to guests at this hotel and some staff shared with me "they" don't want guest bring outside food. There is no point in bring left overs back to the hotel. Overall, satisfactory if you can get a good deal but lacking in some of the conveniences and activities of the more expensive hotels.

  Almost There

  Very pleased hotel with great long beach, plenty of chases and sheltered areas. Multiple restaurants, but only one open for breakfast. Clean, comfortable room, but no microwave. Several deficiencies are noted: weak maid service: several times incomplete refreshing of wash clothes, bathmat, soap. The hand soap dispensers are difficult to reach. Poorly functioning thermostat set at 72 degrees, but held the room at 61 degrees. They never could fix it (2 tries). It'd be great if they had one set of bathrooms in the lobby that didn't require a room key. Long walk (0.2 mi) between northern most tower and the lobby.
