Excellent! 5 stars!
Excellent stay! Would love to return. Juan took excellent care of us poolside and made the experience so much fun! Loved the cabana! Pedro made an excellent morning latte, every single day! By the end of our stay I didn’t even need to ask for a latte, it would just appear at my table. Esmeralda was excellent each morning at breakfast. We enjoyed Martin at the sushi restaurant. Beautiful property that felt very safe. Amazing sunsets and whale watching. My only concern was the hallway noise overnight on first floor from noisy carts, possibly room service carts? Overall an excellent experience. I would highly recommend to family and friends. I look forward to returning!

Phenomenal service and spectacular atmosphere
Starting from check-in, it was absolutely a breeze. Finding our room was a little tricky but once you figure out the elevators it’s no problem. Our rooms were perfect and exactly as expected for a base package and 5 star resort. Housekeeping was always on point. We would leave our rooms at 9am and return after breakfast and the rooms were spotless with fresh towels. Breakfast was always amazing but made even more special with the spectacular service by JORGE and LUIS. They were very attentive as soon were seated. CHEF RAMON made every meal with care. All meals were perfectly seasoned. The pools were cold. I do wish they were heated to room temperature. Regardless of how hot it was outside, it took a while to get used to them. The poolside service was amazing. Big shout outs to JOSE and CHRISTIAN. They made sure our hands were never empty. Overall, fabulous resort. We will definitely be back to Puerto Vallarta.

Fantastic time!
Amazing all inclusive hotel. Very friendly service. Great pools and beach. Rooms very comfortable. Food universally excellent. Great entertainment options. 100% recommend. Special shout outs to Juan and Eduardo from the beach, Itzayana from the tours desk, and all the staff at the restaurants and the Rincon lounge for going an extra mile.

Some minor "complaints", but overall great and would definitely come back
I didn't do too much researching into hotels, but this one seemed like it was pretty family friendly. We were travelling with a baby and a toddler (3.5 years) so one that was relatively family-friendly was a must. Pool/beach - I really enjoyed the pool and they actually had activities in the afternoons that you could participate in that was fun to watch. The family pool has a beach entry which is great for kids, and a smaller circular pool to the side that my three year old could walk across on her own (water was to her shoulders). There are cabanas for daily renting at $60 US or 1200 pesos per day, so if you can factor that in to your budget before you go that would probably enhance your pool experience. We did it one day and I really enjoyed it, especially with a baby, knowing that we had privacy if needed but also to ensure we always had some shade. Otherwise, there are tons of pool chairs. We never had a problem getting a couple of pool chairs together, even after lunch - they would just be in direct sunlight. The shadier ones always got snapped up earlier (which is why I mentioned the cabanas). The pool is completely shaded by the hotel itself until like noon, and the pool can be straight up cold before then, but my kids still liked it. Overall good! Rooms - Great! My only slight complaint is that the sliding door to the balcony was so loud! I don't think it was like that for most rooms (it wasn't for the people we were travelling with), just unfortunate that we got a noisy sliding door when I had small children with me. We got an ocean view room which was a beautiful view. All of the rooms face the ocean, but if you don't choose ocean view, then you'll probably be on a lower level with palm trees mostly blocking your view of the ocean. Customer service/convenience - The staff was all so friendly, great, helpful. I was so happy with everyone! Especially in Sunan for dinner, Bryan/Karen were so fantastic without being overbearing. It was perfect! Also, when you check in, they send you an email with a link to the resort website/portal which is AMAZING. It tells you everything you need to know - restaurants open and their hours, activities, nightly entertainment, list / locations of bars etc, as well as you can schedule room service. Room service for food (limited ish menu) is included and available 24/7 - you can pre order/schedule it through the link. Which was amazing. I think you can only schedule up to 24 hours in advance, which is fine. I scheduled mine for 640 every morning just for a fruit plate for my kids so they weren't frantic/starving by the time we got ready and down to the buffet (which opened at 7am. my kids wake up between 630-7 usually). Also ordered coffee with that as well for my partner and I. It definitely helped us feel a little more alive before we left our rooms lol (we are both heavy coffee drinkers). Food - I was really impressed with the food at the buffet. It was fantastic honestly, we ate there every morning for breakfast and there was a lot of fruit, Mexican dishes, but also they had hashbrowns, bacon, sausages, pastries (donuts muffins etc) and an omelette station if you just want to stick to what you know. My baby had watermelon/cantaloupe/honeydew and shredded beef most mornings, since she hates eggs and would have been too messy with yogurt. Toddler also chose pastries and fruit pretty much every day. They had some individual cereal boxes as well so she had fruit loops a few times. I didn't go to the sushi restaurant or steakhouse, but we all really enjoyed the Asian, Italian, and Mexican restaurants. For the steakhouse, a few people told me it was kind of "meh" or "fine". Not exactly glowing reviews so I didn't make it a priority to try it out. You need to make reservations at all 5 of those places (again, you can reserve through the app up to 24 hours in advance, but if it's for more than 4 people you have to go to the concierge in the lobby to book), and I was a little hesitant to bring my kids but the staff didn't bat an eye at them being there. On each menu there was actually a small kids menu so that was handy! For lunches we ate at the poolside "food trucks (open 12-5 I believe) or the pool grill (1-3pm). Both were tasty! and you could just go order from there and bring it back to your pool chairs to eat, or there were tables and chairs near them as well. The pool grill isn't open every day but on the days that it is - make sure you take a look at what they have! It was very good and seemed to change slightly every day. My only complaint foodwise is that on our last night we went to the seafood place, and honestly it was so terrible - don't even bother going lol. I can't remember what I had but my dish and the pescadillas both were almost entirely breading with little/no fish in it. It was also greasy and seemed to have been deep fried for way too long. But the fish filet that one person got was totally normal and tasted pretty good too. Just totally inconsistent there. Entertainment - The nightly entertainment was fabulous. I watched a few nights from our balcony in the north tower (amazing to be able to do that) and really enjoyed it. I think it went from like 745-845 nightly. As well, there were singers, piano, saxophone players in the lobby bar every night around 9-930 and they were all really good too. We could hear them if we were sitting on our balcony as the lobby is open. There is also a kids club which, if you'd like, you can leave kids ages 4-11 at for a few hours. There's craft tables, a tv (which isn't usually on but I think they do movie nights sometimes), puzzles, books, toy kitchen/store, a little slide. They had toddler time for younger kids (0-3 years) from 9-11am and 5-6pm for toddlers/families to go. I was really impressed with how secure it was. The staff at the front of it would not let my mom in to talk to me (I texted her that we were there) because they wouldn't let her in since she didn't have a kid with her so I had to go to the door to talk to her. I thought that was AWESOME and really showed how seriously they take caring for the kids. Another cool thing which I didn't see mention of on here before I went, is there was a "teen lounge" in the south tower with various activities always going on (ping pong tournament, etc). I didn't actually go to it though so I can't comment on that, just saw activities for it on the schedule every day. One final note on entertainment, it definitely did not seem like much of a "clubbing" place, which was great for me lol. They have a rooftop bar and one of the pools has a swim up bar/is adult only. I only went to the rooftop bar once at like 930pm and there was like 5 people there. I think it's busier during the day though. The other two bars are tucked away in random spots in the north tower. I enjoyed the mojito bar being so close to me, it was very chill and had a beachy vibe to it, but I didn't go to the "martini bar".
