  I stayed at The Royalton for Dream Weekend, there was a mishap with our room. My cousin and I were supposed to be on the adult only side. It wasn’t the hotel fault but our travel agent, but we were not accommodated. So, that soured our mood at first, but we made the best of it. We were greeted with drinks, while checking in, and afterwards we were shown to our rooms by Delroy. Delroy was very kind to my cousin and I. His customer service skills is top tier and he always checked on us when we seen him. He even made sure to let the front desk know it was my birthday. So, i was surprised with a bottle of champagne and a card. I also, have to give a shout out to Sharmane she is a waitress in the buffet. Sharmane was so friendly, funny, and vibrant to the point we requested to sit in her section. She even remembered my birthday and made me a happy birthday dessert plate. My cousin and I said they were our extended family. I also, appreciate the Vibe Team their energy is unmatched you can tell they love what they do. I can not speak for everyone but the staff here is great, especially if you have positive energy. The resort itself had somethings they could fix but my experience outshined the negative. Also, if you do come here tip the staff, just like you would in the US, everyone works so hard, and don’t let someone else’s bad experience determine yours.

  Poor Customer Service

  I will start by saying I have has a bad experience at any other resort in Jamaica. The architecture of the resort is beautiful (beach, pools, bars, restaurants). The room was extremely worn down (I did not request a new room) Diamond Club S/O.

  Royalton review

  This was our first trip to Jamaica and we would definitely come back! We had a swim out room in building 4 that had sun first thing in the morning. We took advantage of that by having a leisurely room service breakfast, using our own pool before heading over to the main pool for all the activities. We ate at all the different restaurants each with their own them and unique experiences. The resort is big but getting around is very easy. We didn’t go off properly or do any excursions because there was so much to do at the resort. What really made our entire trip was the staff! Just can’t say enough about how welcoming and helpful they were. They have a vibe team that entertained morning to night! Queen Dee and Butterfly were so genuine and fun always recognizing us , sitting down , chatting really making you feel like we have been friends for ever. Alfa our water aerobics instructor was amazing, taking great care of my 75 year old mom in and out of the pool. Again just an amazing person who we will always remember. Have to give another shout out to our Marriott ambassadors Valerie and Chad who helped us with restaurant reservations, special requests for our room and put on a great welcome event for all Marriott Bonvoy members. Again these individuals made our experience so wonderful, we will be back.

  Great Family Trip

  My family of four stayed at the Royalton in March 2025. Check in was great and easy. We had a family ocean view room in Building 2 and was a great location to the beach and was fairly quiet in the evenings. We spent most days at the beach, beautiful water and the staff are always cleaning the beach. The buffet breakfast was excellent, lots of variety to choose from. Lunch at the jerk hut and pizza to go was a hit with our family! And let’s not forget Scoops on their ice cream and iced latte’s, was great after a hot day in the sun. We enjoyed Calypso restaurant , Teppanyaki and Hunter’s steakhouse. We watched Bob Marley and Michael Jackson night and both shows were great! The staff were very attentive. Great job to Shanika our room attendant, Aaron the jerk hut manager and all the great staff at the Royalton. Thanks for the great memories!

  Beautiful hotel but service doesn’t match

  This was our second time at the royalton and sadly we were disappointed from our first visit two years ago. The hotel is beautiful but sadly expectations were not met. Somethings to be aware of - you have to call to get your fridge filled it was not done daily and as far as waters go they max you at four 500 ml bottles and if you want more you have to call for room service again. - towels in the room were an issue, for 3 days we called for face towels and a towel for the floor at the shower. I called and asked for them none were delivered and when I asked the cleaning staff they said they didn’t have any. - If you want peace on the beach this isn’t the most peaceful place. Employees consistently ask you to join the diamond club and don’t like hearing no. Also you hear people shouting for braids / smokes almost every hour on the beach - when getting food at the jerk hut you can wait in line but sadly some staff will cut in and throw in 4-6 plates to go serve other guests even though you’re already waiting. - alcohol is included but expect the bottom level bar rail. Although the hotel is beautiful and people are friendly these are just things that have gotten worse overtime and are the factor why we won’t go back.
