Playground Paradise
Activities include playing in the giant ball pit, crossing the crocodile river, gliding on the mini zip line, and sliding down various slides. This is in addition to the obstacle structure we’ve had in operation for several months, which consists of an elevated obstacle circuit at 12 feet (3.65 m) high with varying levels of difficulty.
To use the obstacle course, slides, and soft play area, parents must read, agree to, and sign the Vibe City liability waiver. No child may enter the areas without the supervision of a parent or guardian. Children can use both amenities as often as they like, always following the instructions of Vibe City staff. The soft play & slides area includes 8 obstacles, 6 slides, plus a toddler area for children aged 0 to 3 accompanied by their parents. The large obstacle course features 17 different obstacles, 3 exits, and 1 entrance, all within a safe environment of nets and soft platforms.
The maximum capacity is 10 for the toddler area (including parents and children), 15 participants for the soft play & slides, and 18 participants for the obstacle course at the same time, plus 2 staff members.

Rules

Amazing Time
Paola and Moises were absolutely amazing! They were able to get us reservations when needed and made this trip so easy and relaxing! Always there when needed and was able to accommodate us at all times! I broke my suitcase going into Mexico and they were able to find me tape to get back home! So I didn’t have to buy a new luggage.

Brilliant experience
Amazing entertainment team with Ari and Jael. Would highly recommend the Vibe City - the activities are wonderful! The games room and bowling were so much fun! The hotel lagoon area and beach were ideal for children and teens alike. Would definitely be back!

Another Great Hard Rock Riviera Maya Experience!
Our butlers Mauricio and Diego are fantastic! Very caring and attentive. They took care of us like royalty! This is our second time with Mauricio and he is #1 and Diego is right there with him. The butlers make the experience very easy and care free, like vacations are supposed to be. We also had several good pool-side servers including Miguel at the Members pool and Bennito at the Eden pool. Both were great. The staff, in general, are all great. The restaurant upgrades are very nice and the quality of the food and music (more Rock) has improved a lot over the years (We are long time members and this is our 7th time at this resort.) Once suggestion that we have as HOF members is to heat at least the members pools. The kids may be OK with cold water but we are NOT. It would make it a lot better when you come November-April when the pools are very chilly. Adding a few degrees would really help and encourage more trips in the colder months.

Let’s start with the good.. The grounds and facilities are excellent. There are 2 main centres with coffee, amenities, bars and restaurants. The pool areas are very well laid out and they put on good entertainment at lunchtime for everyone. The waterpark is decent enough but our 11 and 9 year old were done with it after a couple of visits. It could do with rapids, a lazy river and perhaps a few more slides / flumes to be 10/10. The beach is stunning and the sea paddling area very well maintained and good for snorkelling and swimming etc. The whole week we were there the main sea was red flagged. The Mexican staff are lovely - every single one of them were very friendly and attentive. Vibe city is great for the kids with rock climbing, trampolines, soft play, bowling and laser tag. We didn’t do all of them but again, after a couple visits our two were done. Some families with slightly younger children were able to book them in for the day and have some adult time. The not so good.. The room was below the standard based on the amount we paid and appeared very dated. It was quite small with 2 double beds and a spa bath. Quite regularly the spa bath would kick up with a drainage smell. The curtains and coffee machine also were faulty and despite us raising this to reception after the second day, it was never fixed. The hammock in the balcony area has probably been there for years and it smelled. On the plus side the air con worked well and the tablet showing all the hotel facilities and arrangements was very useful. The shower, safety deposit box and tv all worked well enough. The pool sun beds were a daily fight for possession. Some are reserved by members and the rest are up for grabs from as early as you can get up and get a towel. However, unless you stay by your beds the whole time you could not guarantee that your towel would be there after you finished breakfast. This was really annoying as some days putting your towel down worked and some days it didn’t. There must be a better system. Also, because the wind was so strong on the first few days, the parasols were kept down. This meant an even bigger fight for the beds under the huts for shade. Finally, the restaurants operated on a first come first serve basis, often meaning very long wait times for dinner (breakfast and lunch never a problem). We waited 90 minutes for the Italian and 60 minutes twice for the steak restaurant. We even had to wait 45 minutes for the standard self serve restaurant. We’ve been to plenty of all inclusive and there has always been a booking system for reserving tables so I’m not sure why they don’t adopt that here. Especially with the amount of restaurants they have. On the plus side the Isla restaurant at lunchtime was excellent with lots of options. The steak restaurant (Toro) was great quality with large steaks and superb service. It also operated as a decent place for breakfast, particularly the egg station. The coffee places were also excellent, with pastries and good quality ice cream on tap. The prices for anything you might buy are outrageous. 12 dollars for a family bag of crisps and 52 dollars for a medium floaty. So take your own floaty if you go with kids. The excursions seemed on the pricey side as well so we went and did them independently via Google searching and getting taxis ourselves to save money. Fully recommend the Akumal Mayan VIP Tours turtle trip. It was brilliantly priced and a fantastic all round experience. Overall we had a pretty decent time but it didn’t quite live up to what we paid for.
