Jan 31, 2025Beautiful grounds
The grounds of this resort are beautiful. The parking spots are TIGHT. Had peeling wallpaper in bathroom. Toilet paper was same as you would find in a rest area. For the cost of room would like something a little better quality. Could use a less expensive dining option than those offered. All that being said it is a lovely resort and all the staff we interacted with were super friendly and helpful.

This was my first visit to Kauai. I now know why people call it paradise. The Grand Hyatt is special and I place that I have already recommended to friends. I have been a fan of Hyatt for 30 years. However, the Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort and Spa have created an authentic culture, dining, and experience that provide an escape for desperate souls needing to unplug.

Paradise
This is as close to paradise as it gets. This is the second time I've stayed here and everything is perfect! If you can stay here, do it. You will not regret it! The food is amazing. The grounds, pools, beach, and lobby are exceptional. The staff will make you feel like royalty. Just get there.

Relax, Relaxing and Relaxed
The hotel and staff never disappoint, the rooms are clean and well maintained. Everyone is nice and helpful. The pool is fantastic, the wait staff there are prompt and courteous. Only negative, need to have the pool restaurant stay open maybe to six for food service. I know that I was there in January 2025 but it is a business trip with conference at hotel. There are limited food options available after 5PM.

It's so clear that the hotel is wildly understaffed, and this really does affect the guest experience. The food at lunch at Tidepools was completely unacceptable. One lunch I had there had absolutely no protein. No meat, fish, or anything of substance. Just cold pasta. And for this you charge $50 per plate? Shame on you.
