    Not bad but not good.

The resort is what it is - 3 stars. Its not bad but its not good either. Most of the complaints in the other reviews are valid. We had a fun time but it's definitely a budget vacation resort. Food is mediocre and bland. The app didn't work for us and the popular a la cartes were all booked by 830 am. We ended up eating outside the resort twice. Rooms are fine. There are mini fridges but they are not stocked (never had this issue before, fridges are always stocked with beer, pop, etc.at other resorts. What is the point of the fridge then?) No coffee pot in the room either. Coffee stations were always out of coffee as well. Nightly shows were meh. Hot water in the shower was hit and miss. The beach is awesome and the staff were great. It wasn't a horrible vacation but I would definitely spend the extra money and go somewhere else next time in Puerto Vallarta.

One of the best Resorts in all of Mexico , Best value for your dollar

This is our 19 TH time going to now called Grand Decameron Complex Buceiras Mexico . They have some amazing changes , Buy painting all the buildings a nice neutral colour it really improves the beautiful grounds and flowers and palm trees . When you are at the resort it’s like your in Hawaii. They have also improved the buffets and a la cart restaurants . The staff are all amazing , if you have a problem they do the best to fix any problems , all you have to do is ask ! We are returning March 6 T H 2025 for another 2 Weeks , This will be our 20 TH time returning to our favourite resort. Glen and Deborah Evans

    Average but enjoyable.

First time at this resort. I've been to other all inclusives. Pros: -Location, quieter area than PV or NV. Great beach and can swim in the ocean. Can walk to town and markets. -All staff members are excellent from maid service to bar tenders to servers. No complaints. -Overall, we thought the food was slightly better than other all inclusives we've been to. Multiple buffets/eating areas to choose from also. -Outdoor areas are very clean. Great to have free options like bikes, kayaks, pickleball, better entertainment than other resorts. Cons: -Pool water is freezing and tended to avoid them. -Strangely, there was never any hot water in the mornings and sometimes in the afternoon. It was a gamble when to take a shower with hot water...At least in Block 6. -If bringing Pesos, remember to bring small bills (20s/50s). There is nowhere to make change at the resort or nearby. I had to use my US dollars for tips. -Room was a bit noisy at night, as in--we could easily hear neighboring rooms, people snoring, babies crying. Room was always clean, albeit dated, but nice. Now that I am home, thinking about it, I would likely only go back if I got a great deal like I did on this trip..via CheapCarribean/Black Friday deal. Otherwise, I will likely choose another resort next time.

    Last time at the Decameron.

My husband and I spent Jan 4-11, this is the sixth time we have stayed. I am disappointed in many things about the stay. Upon check in I was surprised that “Oceanview” is Block 4. It is noisy, the bar was at the end of the building and the Flamingos restaurant right across. The whole complex needs updating. The staff do not seem happy like the were years previously. I will say the food was good at the buffets and the reservation at the Italian restaurant was good. However the reservation at the Mexican restaurant was not very relaxing. Staff ran around like they had a fire to put out and we felt very rushed. Our room some days was not cleaned until 5-this is very difficult if you have plans for supper and you cannot get ready in case they come to make up the room. On one occasion I went to reception twice to see if we could get the room made up, this was at 2:00 & 4:30 and I was told they would be right up-well they came up bit proceeded to clean other rooms. By the time we did get into the room we had very little time to get ready for a reservation at a restaurant 30 minutes away, very disappointing. We will not book here again, many people we spoke to are of the same opinion. Sad that the hotel has become not the great place it used to be.

    Relaxing time with family

The staff are wonderful. The mattresses hard. For the most part the rooms are clean. Washrooms around the resort need some better attention. Drinks are great, buffet is great at lunch and breakfast but dinner I found I needed an a la carte restaurant. Lots to do day and night, but you need to be up early if you want a lounging chair in the beach or poolside. My view was awesome.
