A fantastic vacation at the Grand Decameron Complex
We just returned home after 4 fabulous weeks at the Grand Decameron Complex and cannot wait to return!!! There were many upgrades this past month such as new patio furniture, new dressers and end tables and the food although we have never had an issue with it was excellent. There are two amazing ladies that we would like to thank for always making our vacation so enjoyable and looking after us so well. I call them the “Dream Team” as they work so well together to ensure that their customers have an excellent vacation. These two wonderful ladies are Yadira Ricardo, the Front Desk Manager and Karina Pasternan, the Guest Services Manager. Our heartfelt thanks and gratitude to you both! You lovely ladies are simply the best and there are just not enough words to describe how much we appreciated everything that you have done for us. Te amo amigas!!! We would also like to thank our fantastic housekeeper Marisa Cuevas who is like a member of our family. Muchas gracias for the beautiful towel art, for my birthday cake, the flowers and the amazing decorations in our room Marisa. We love you so much!!! Thanks also for the superb service in Piccalo from Omar and Anselmo. Muchas gracias amigos!!! Thank you to Hector, Jenny, Erick, Maria, Ilise, the three Marisols and all of the wonderful servers in the Tropical and Flamigos buffets. A huge thank you to our awesome bartenders Javier, Alexandra, Maby, Yaneli, Ruth, Gabriel, Angel, Naomi and the fabulous bartenders who looked after us for those 4 weeks. This hotel is not a five start but the staff at this resort are definitely out of this world amazing. It has been a pleasure to be with you all again and look forward to seeing you all next year! Feliz Navidad to all of you and your families. Veronica and Pedro

Used To Be Good
The hotel is very noisy. One improvement would be to NOT Hammer on the walls and floor of the room above me 1) early in the day and 2) at all during high season. We paid extra for an ocean view so we could see and hear the ocean, we were in a room where we could see the ocean however we could also see weddings and a quinceañera and a party in the building next to us with loud music that went on until 11pm and midnight in the case of the party. We are happy for the people involved in the weddings however we were not invited and were forced to attend from a distance. Unacceptable. There is a posted policy regarding saving chairs at the pool and beach. Enforce it or take it off of the sign, or perhaps you could get more (enough for everyone) chairs, umbrellas and palapas. The food was 2.5/10 Empty trays were left unfilled (Hint: The food people want to eat was in the trays have been emptied, refill them) The food lacked flavour for the most part. The food was perhaps the biggest disappointment, Mexican food known for its bold flavours etc. was not to be found, even on Mexican food night the food was bland and uninspired. Serving hamburgers, hot dogs and chicken wings as the main choice in the buffet one evening is and was completely ridiculous. There is a coffee station in one of the lobby's that was empty of coffee more often then it had coffee and was not replenished. The air conditioner in our room leaked water (a lot of water) all over the floor, we did not call for maintenance because: 1) the water stain on the wall says it is not a new problem and you most likely know about it and found it acceptable and 2) we are not giving up use of our room while you try to figure out how to repair or patch the problem. Room floor had so much water on it we had to use all our towels to prevent slipping on the tiles, the leak was also on the balcony and made it slippery. The light on our balcony has no switch so we could no shut it off, it is on a timer controlled by you. The curtains are not blackout curtains so the room is dark only after12:30 - 1:00am, if I want to sleep with the lights on I will do that of my own accord. We watched a bar staff picking up glasses poolside, that is a good thing, however leaving the glasses that had bees around them was laughable, it did nothing for the bee problem at the pool (the one near the spa and gym). The bees were also attracted to the iguana feces that was all over the pool deck and not cleaned up. On one occasion the wading pool was closed because an iguana had pooped in it, the pool was closed for a time while the poop was removed and then the pool stayed closed for approximately 30 minutes, nothing was done in this time however after 30 minutes it was deemed the pool was clean enough for the kids to go back in. No cleaning occurred no chemicals were added. The resort is looking very tired and worn out, chipped, broken or missing tiles tiles, broken chairs, peeling paint in the pools and unfinished paint job on the buildings are not easily overlooked and nor should they be, you are in the hospitality business and if your goal is to not have return customers you are on that path now. We stayed at this resort 8 or 10 years ago and it was so much better. There are newer resorts close by that offer travellers a choice of where to spend their vacation dollars and your resort does not seem like value for money. Sad to say but this was the 6th time we have stayed at a Decameron resort in Mexico and more than likely our last. In some regard you thought that we would accept all the things listed above and be happy and not feel taken advantage of, plainly stated your resort is not worth the time, effort or cost to get there or stay there and it will take a lot of work and improvement of the facilities for us to even consider returning to this or any other Decameron property. It seems Decameron does not care anymore.

Holiday at Grand DeCameron Complex in Bucerias
A wonderful all inclusive resort. This place has been here for years so you can tell that it is an older resort but very well maintained and it just keeps providing great service and services to their clients. The staff are all amazing and really seem to enjoy their work. I have run into people who are returning for their 18th time. The food is great no matter whether you are in the buffet or al-a-carte. Access to great tours happens right in one of the lobbies and the evening shows are great, the entertainers I saw were top caliber. I will definitely be returning.

Coming there, December 17 for one week with the family.
Hello ! This is our third time there and we love it! This time is a little different. I got sick a month ago with pneumonia. I am healing, but the walking gets me very tired still. I don’t know how to contact the resort for direct telephone number. We are so hoping to get rooms, we have three booked close to the lobby and beach Just saw everything will be easier for me and not too far to walk as I am healing but still get tired easy. The booking is under Dave and Trudy peters if you could get me a direct number that would be awesome as feeling anxious going on vacation wondering how far away our rooms will be.

Another wonderful stay at the Grand (Royal) Decameron
Just getting ready to head home after 12 days at the Decameron. This was probably our 5th stay in the last 20 years. We keep coming back for the fabulous beach and the wonderful people at the Decameron - which has recently been acquired by the Wyndham company. There have been some upgrades like new AC (works great), mini bar fridges, seating around the pools, and new paint (too bad they are taking out the old vibrant colours that once gave it character). Our stay was made memorable by the excellent service of Ruth in the main lobby bar, Moses at the Mexican ala carte restaurant, and our great housekeeper Ana Rosa. All the staff are friendly and helpful - which is why we come back along with numerous others who enjoy multi week annual stays. Hoping that Wydam continues to support the Decameron and not fix what ain’t broken
