No value for your Dollar
Positives; Pool Decks Washed every day at sunset 2 Pickleball Courts Clean Rooms Great Beech Negatives Very Very Wi-Fi, 0 room coverage, leave your Roko streaming devices at home Food, very Poor, even in the specialty restaurants! If one night they serve fresh turkey, you can count on left over turkey for the next 3 days!. Food is warm at best, never hot food! One morning, then evening, there was no butter with the bread that was put out, I asked one of the quality control managers and was advised the butter is not offered daily, only on certain menus, WHAT, butter goes with bread, regardless of the menu!! No bar service at your lounger, have to stand in line at the bar Bottom line, the prices change everyday, but you do not get what you pay in return! This was our 6th visit, why,we waited and caught a price drop day that offset the issues but you are reminded of these at day one! Unless we see another price drop, no more Royal Decameron (They changed the name, but same resort)

A good basic option - just not a great one
An adequate hotel that has potential. It is important to realize this is a three star hotel. With this in mind, it's a good place, just not a great place. The rooms are old and dated but clean and neat. We had the dreaded Block Six Adjoining rooms that must be avoided at cost. The sound transfer is bizarre!!! However, rooms aside, the resort is very clean, well maintained and pleasant. The pool area and beach are the highlight. The stand out are the staff who make the hotel a great experience. The food is good with lots of choice. As a picky dinner, there was always enough to select. Booking a reservation for a sit down meal was also fine. We tried three different options and they were nice. Overall, this is a good three-star option that has potential to be better. It starts with modernizing rooms. Most will say you don't spend much time in your room but it is where you start and end your day! I don't think we'd visit again but not because of any defect but more because it just didn't offer enough wow to bring us back.

worst all inclusive we have experienced
First I will talk about the lounge policy or lack there of. After 5 days they decided to change and started taking towels off peoples lo ungers. The following day they started taking peoples personal belongings as well. There was no communication that this was going to happen. First day it happened to us we thought our towels had been stolen. If you cant turn your towels in you have to pay for them. We were told our towels were at the counter in building 4. We go there and were just given 2 towels off the top of the pile. The next day we were at the counter building 4, two gents were there talking to a supervisor about the new practice, they wanted to know the new rules. He never gave any rules except security will be checking ever 20 minutes and they will take people belongings if the lounger is empty for 20 minutes. A few days later we were around the pool and my wife mover her lounger on the grass as there was more sun, the lifeguard came over and kicked her and another lady off the grass. This is an area that they have weddings and meals on, but that day nothing was going on there. Funny thing is we saw people use the area over and over and never got kicked off. A few days later there was no checks been done and no belongs taken I guess the policy changed again The food is terrible same slop every day, they say you can always find something to eat, I am not sure I could agree with that. We didn't get our room cleaned a few times as it was after 5pm and they still had not come to the room to clean. When they finally did show up we told them no as we were getting showered etc. The overall cleanliness is at a 3 at best. The same french fry was on the stairs for over a week. I know we will never go back.

beautiful place if your not fussy
well first of all i did find most of the staff very accommodating , unfortunately my wife did the surprise booking for my 70th bday she forgot to ask for 2 double beds and we ended up with a king which was approx the second last room for distance from the buffet and had mostly cold showers, block 6, being partially handicapped this was to far for me to walk. The front desk was very accommodating and 2 days later we received a room very close to the buffet and bar , block 4 Definitely no complaints about the room or room service However be mindful it is an older resort food was so,so breakfast was great but i found most the the other meals very salty, pork beef etc Thank you Cynthia for the great omelettes Staff at the bar were great as well as pool 1 entertainment , Diago did a wonderful job along with Donnie and johnnie and all the crew getting in to the special restaurants was easy once we learned how to use the app, a must or you may wait in line for nothing there is a small flea market on the beach and a larger one approx 20 minute walk away My main complaint would be the fact that they only served beer with very high carb content which kept my sugars pretty high Modelo especial 13.8 gr of carbs Would be nice if they offered a low carb beer like corona light or Modelo Oro light, I actually went up town and bought some Michelob ultra with only 3 gr per beer for the room beach was clean with the usual sales people pawning off there wares Reserving a chair is confusing to say the least pool opens at 9 so we were not allowed to reserve before 8 (had our towels removed by security one day) if you wait till 8 your to late ,you could go down early but had to stay in the chair till 8am at least, leave your chair for an hour and you lose it as i found out the hard way. complained to security and got shot down sorry Senoir but you were gone over an hr , so dont spend any time visiting or drinking on the beach I did find the exchange that took place over the chair very rude as both parties could speak excellent english yet when i asked security to speak english he continued speaking spanish to the other party which had spoken to me in perfect english, no idea what they were saying i mentioned that the other party had no bracelet but that didnt matter to him, not sure why, but she was allowed to stay in my chair and had to gall to ask me to appologize to her for asking her to leave. maybe when hell freezes over

Our wonderful Mexican vacation
Wow!!!Let me start by saying we were truly impressed. Having read the reviews before we went I wondered after day 3 where these negative Nellies actually stayed. There was nothing negative for us. Easy check in process and they switched our room to a ground level by the pool with no issues as we don’t do stairs well. The food was excellent and beer and drinks were there when you wanted them. The bartenders Alexandra at the beach bar by unit 4 was excellent as was Mavi at the sports bar and that lady has energy!! The staff never stop working to keep the resort looking good and it was perfect in every way. The food, well what can I say, the buffets were plentiful with lots of variety, the snack bars were a special little treat and no problem getting reservations for the restaurants which were over the top for food quality and service. The restaurant booking is now on line, scan the barcode and make a reservation. Easy peasy. So overall I would recommend this resort and we would go again in a heartbeat. The resort is older but has character and pride of ownership. I believe there are new owners but the staff have been there for a long time.
