Mixed feelings
We had mixed feelings about the Four Seasons Punta Mita as well as the peninsula itself. First the good. The hotel is quite beautiful in its setting and landscaping. The pools and beaches are also gorgeous. Service was universally friendly. The included breakfast was great - we only had the buffet but there were tons of options including an omelette station. The so-so. The rooms were nice, but not as nice as plenty of other resorts we have visited. Our room had a septic type smell in the entryway - did not really bother us in the bed area and we found it went away when we left the patio door open (and the ac automatically turned off). The shower was quite small with a slippery floor and no mat. Some of the newer buildings looked nicer than ours - maybe they have better rooms. We were not in one of the casitas with plunge pools. The food in the various restaurants was pretty good, but not amazing. Probably not worth the prices. We had better meals in town and around the peninsula. Finally, we really did not care for the fact that we felt the resort was walled off from the real world and local flavor. It could have been anywhere in the world. I guess safety is what people who can afford this level of luxury want, but we prefer to be in a more authentic locale on vacation. The bad. While I mentioned that food prices were high, that was nothing compared to drink prices. I'm talking a 10x markup on a bottle of wine!!! $120 for a $12 dollar bottle of New Zealand sauvignon blanc is outrageous. Even the Mexican wines were generally at least $80 - $90 for a bottle. As expected, most cocktails were $20 and up - at least that is not a 10x markup. Beer was quite reasonable. Given the number of other places we hope to visit, we will probably not come back, though other members of our family might.

Four Seasons Punta Mita: Almost Too Perfect
We were consistently impressed by the exceptional service, the top-notch food and drinks, and the immaculately maintained grounds. The variety of activities available, the stunning beaches, and the impeccable cleanliness all contributed to a wonderful experience. While we personally prefer a more tranquil atmosphere, we understand that the hotel's popularity can sometimes lead to higher occupancy. Despite this, we had an unforgettable time and highly recommend Four Seasons Punta Mita

Beautiful Punta Mita
We enjoyed 5 days at this beautiful property. We had an ocean front casita with plunge pool. The room was very comfortable and spacious. The grounds were beautiful with beautiful pool and beach. The bars and restaurants were fun. We borrowed bikes one day. Also enjoyed the tortuga, sea turtle release on the beach sponsored by a conservancy group. Staff were outstanding. Everyone very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed great massages in the spa. Four Seasons arranged transportation for us to and from airport and to dinners off property. We loved it.

Recent Vacay
Just finished a week here. We stayed in a residence. The condo was very clean. It easily accommodated 8 people with three bathrooms. In suite kitchen and laundry were fully functional. The kitchen was fully appointed. External patio with plunge pool and outdoor cooking area. The beds are very comfortable. All types of pillows available. Easy walk to all facilities and golf cart service available as well. As one would expect, full service spa and exercise facility, two beaches, 3 pools, all with full bars and completely staffed. The staff are excellent and service oriented. All are very pleasant and worked to accommodate every need. The restaurants have slightly limited options, but what is offered is prepared in an excellent manner. The concierge is able to book any/all activities in the area. We took a half day fishing trip and were rewarded with a 70 lb sailfish. Overall, I only have good things to stay in regards to this trip and this resort.
