We stayed in different hotels in Costa Rica By far, my favorite Four Seasons and my favorite beach hotel in North America, Latin America and the Caribbean. Both the bay and ocean sides are exceptional for views, swimming and water sports and allow you to experience both sunrise and sunset on the water. The rooms were lovely. The lobby and restaurants are open and stunning and festive, with the perfect balance of indoor/outdoor flow and casual/elegant dining options. The separate pool areas make it possible to be in either an adult or a family atmosphere or to alternate between them. The spa is fantastic - best massage I have gotten in a long time For activities and excursions, we can't say enough good things about Gabriel From nomad tourscr who helped us with our hotel transportations, surfing lessons, zip lining, atv tours, Sloth Sanctuary He is extremely helpful with setting everything up for you and then communicating with great detail all of the information you need for each excursion (time to be ready, who will pick you up, where, pricing, along with pictures of the activities and of the locations for where you will be picked up and returned). He made our trip stress free and enjoyable, we can't recommend him enough. Great guy, extremely nice, and he really helped with making our vacation enjoyable. Look for Nomad (you can find him on google for his WhatsApp number). I highly recommend the Papagayo Peninsula, the best staff

Simply…. Perfection!!!!
Four seasons Costa Rica is simply perfect!!! I am a huge four seasons fan… some are good, some are great and some exceptional! This one was exceptional! It’s truly the people who make this resort extra special! Everyone genuinely cares and goes out of their way to make sure you are taken care of. Special shout out to Anna and Luz… the most sweetest servers at breakfast. Daniel and Adrian for being so gracious and informative at the front desk. Mario the bellman always willing to help with a smile. Jose in guest relations always making sure WE had a smile on our faces Lucia, director of rooms, who made sure we had the most amazing suite to celebrate our anniversary. You truly made our trip go from amazing to spectacular! These are just a few of the MANY MANY MANY individuals that made our stay beyond lovely! The food is top notch here as well! From the Mediterranean restaurant to the steak house to Bahia grill. All super delicious! Oh and the activities! So much to do! I swear you need at least a month here to feel like you’ve done it all! I cannot wait to come back!!! Thank you four seasons costs rica! You are above and beyond a 5 star resort!

Extraordinary SPA
If you desire a stretch and restore class, circuit training or an update of your training program Ron is your guy. Ron has extensive knowledge of human anatomy and will work your muscles to their full potential. A variety of yoga classes and sound therapy are provided by talented and exceptional instructors - Jose, Luna and Magee at the exquisitely beautiful Shala or on the beach. You can end your day with a massage with infrared technology with the best massage therapist Randall. My mantra happiness, health and wellness. Pura Vida!

Paradise!
This resort is nothing short of amazing. It was clearly built to accommodate nature , wildlife, and the beauty of the peninsula. It is a tropical paradise. The staff took each experience to the next level. Special shoutouts to: - Jeancarlo at Añejo who was so kind to teach us so much about mixology and answered our endless questions - Jenny at Añejo who was incredibly warm and always had a smile on her face - Wil at Añejo who made us feel like old friends as soon as we met him - Alonso at the beach and pool who went out of his way daily to ensure we made the most out of our time and that we were always comfortable, hydrated, and well fed. He knew what we needed before we even asked! - Steven at Surf X for the absolute best day surfing. He tailored everything to our specific needs. He was patient and so knowledgeable - we had so much fun with him! - JR who taught our coffee class at La Reserva was a true expert and we learned so much from him while having a great time. Adriana and Jason at the beach and April at Bahia were also so attentive and friendly. The only bad part of this stay was leaving! We can’t wait to come back.

One of the best resorts in the world.
At the FS Papagayo there's a Forbes plaque celebrating that this resort has been voted 'one of the best in the world'. We all know that these awards can sometimes be taken with a pinch of salt. However, in this case it is entirely true. I've been lucky enough to travel extensively and stay in some exceptional resorts. This is one of the very best. This was our 3rd stay at the FS Papagayo. We stayed in a 3 bedroom villa - #4822. Not cheap but you get what you pay for. Absolutely beautiful villa with amazing views. And as I said in my last review in July 2022, the services levels at this resort are superb. Special mention goes out to the team of drivers, headed by Karim, who ferry guests around in golf carts. Always friendly and efficient. In my last review I flagged one area where there was room for improvement at the resort - the gym. I was delighted to discover on this visit that the gym had been substantially upgraded. Lots of free weights. Indoor and outdoor squat racks. A smith machine. Good quality weights machines. A huge range of cardio equipment. And an excellent selection of free weights. Well done to the management of the resort! On the subject of improvements, all of the restaurants at the resort had improved since our last visit. And the beach club restaurant is an excellent addition. We missed the complimentary electric bikes. Apparently the system is being upgraded. Look forward to having them back in operation when we next visit. We will definitely be back. Thank you so much to all the management and staff for a wonderful experience!
