    Paradise

Where do I begin? There is so much to say about this resort. This is my third time at the Fairmont Mayakoba. People say the resort is huge and it is. Mayakoba is shared by four hotels: the Fairmont, Banyan Tree, The Rosewood and Andaz. It does not matter how long you stay at the Fairmont, there is always something to do. Canals unite all the hotels and it is easy to travel by boat, bike or on foot. We were in a casita around 600, which is a great location because it is in the middle of the property and easy access to the beach, restaurants and lobby. The beach is simply beautiful. While at the other hotels in Mayakoba the beach has eroded, at this hotel it has not. There are so many pools either overlooking the beach or the canals or in private places making them all feel very private. You are never at a loss for a lounge chair. Our room overlooked the lagoon. Every room feels like an apartment with its own unique view and privacy. The food was amazing. We ate at Bassano. I am from Italy and I know good Italian food. We were so impressed that we asked to meet the chef so we could congratulate her. Another night we ate at Gaia, overlooking the beach, as the moon was rising. It was a spectacular sight. Afterwards, I would suggest to head up to Cielo, the bar deck, for some music. The staff was amazing, always a smile on their faces. There are so many people I would like to mention. Noe was our concierge and he made sure our experience was extra special. Oscar took us on a special boat ride, pointing out all the animals that live on this 600 acres of mangroves. Manual, who was recently hired, took us back and forth from the main station to every place at the Fairmont, entertaining us and making us feel welcome. One day we exercised in the pool with weights.Miguel, a personal trainer from the spa led the workout. The class was entertaining and we got an incredible work out as he is incredibly knowledgeable. I realize this review is getting long so I will stop. I would definitely go back to this property. If you go, you will not be disappointed. Thank you Fairmont Mayakoba for making my birthday extra special. Can’t wait to return!

Boat tour and cenote at el pueblito

Miguel took us on a magical boat tour around the fairmount and surrounding property. Eduardo Garcia from mayakoba showed us the local cenote where bats live and the beautiful fresh cave water. Both men were fun to talk with and we learned a lot aboit the local culture.

    Passionate Team

We love coming back to this property, the amenities, the room and the diverse restaurant options are all top notch! The best part about this resort is the service, they all go above and beyond to make your celebration extra special. They surprised me thrice on my birthday, first one during breakfast at la Laguna. Thank you Diana for the wonderful surprise to start my day! Then a second one in Tauro over dinner and lastly a room delivery from concierge team was very helpful too and I love how they assigned my own concierge/ butler that I can simply text if I need anything- from reservations to activities. I felt taken care of. Special thanks to Jocelyn and Estephania from concierge team for the amazing service! Erwin from las Oslas pool bar gave me a special birthday drink to start us off and lastly, the amazing servers at the beach, Nico and Filiberto, you guys are amazing and very enthusiastic. You guys always give us the warmest “welcome back” as soon as you see us. Mayakoba team, please keep your passion in customer service because it’s definitely what sets you apart from other resorts. ❤️

    Beautiful Boat Tour!!!

Just had a fabulous tour of the beautiful property by boat. Our Captain Miguel was exceptional and a very educational and informative tour guide for all of the diverse wild life we were fortunate to see. 5 Star experience. Oscar was instrumental in setting this tour up for us. We had a wonderful time and wanted to recognize them both for providing us such a phenomenal experience and memory to take home.

Fairmont Mayakoba - an unforgettable vacation

We stayed at the Fairmont Mayakoba for 6 nights. It was utter bliss. The room was spectacular with gorgeous furnishings and a beautiful lagoon view. Using the bikes to get around was an unexpected pleasure as was walking on the beach and visiting the other properties. We were fortunate enough to have a butler named Marko assigned to our room. Let me just say he knew what he was doing. He made all of our arrangements and checked in on us without being overbearing. He arranged for a boat to take us to dinner at Saffron at one of the sister properties. The boat ride was romantic and beautiful. We rented kayaks and Kelly gave us a wonderful tour of the lagoon. Her passion for the nature around the hotel was infectious. We took cabs to 5th Avenue twice for dinner. We used Yelp to find great restaurants there and felt very safe. We used the bikes on the nature trail and, while the signage was a little confusing, we had a blast looking at all of the animals and visiting the other properties. Book this hotel. You won’t be sorry.
