    Fairmont Family Christmas

Wonderful resort, will absolutely return! We stayed at the Fairmont the first two nights of our trip and then moved to the Andaz. BIG mistake, the Fairmont is so much more superior! The rooms are gorgeous, bikes and carts plentiful and the food options far superior.

    Fantastic Experience!

I had an amazing stay at this resort! The service was outstanding, the food was excellent, and there were so many activities to enjoy that it's impossible to get bored just relaxing at the property. A special thanks to receptionist Paulina for her exceptional service, as well as Jessica and the entire concierge team for arranging all my dinner reservations and activities so seamlessly. Karla from the spa truly deserves special recognition for delivering one of the most exceptional spa experiences I’ve ever had. However, one area that could be improved is the bar with swings at the beach. While most of the servers in the outlets we visited were proactive and attentive, the staff at this particular bar seemed to overlook us after we were seated for a few minutes. It felt a bit odd, and we eventually decided to leave. But in general, I would recommend this resort for a winter getaway!

Celebrated our 50th anniversary with our family, and it was perfect!

Amazing vacation! The rooms, pools, restaurant choices, and activities are just spectacular! But the best part is the attention to detail from all staff members... Louis one of the cart drivers to the beach, Aldo the chef in Tauro, Diana at Fuego, Carlos at Brisas, Irwin at the swim up bar, Miguel the boat captain and of course, Alejandro, our personal Butler, who along with all staff made our stay complete. From the moment we stepped off the plane, we were in good hands and our family made unforgettable memories. We were a family of 6 adults along with our 2 yr old and 6 yr old who loved the Holiday Festival every evening and kids club every afternoon. The standard of care and attention to detail is unmatched. You will not be disappointed.

This is the fifth time and maybe last time we go back to Fairmont Mayakoba.

This is the fifth time and maybe last time we go back to Fairmont Mayakoba. We were there with our family in December and the experience was disappointing. While the food and service quality was always the best, our issues were primarily with the deterioration of the rooms and facilities. During our stay, our bed was creaky and the toilet did not flush. This is unpleasant the first night since we couldn't sleep well with our toddler when the bed made a loud creak noise anytime we moved. They promptly fixed the issue, however another issue came up when the ceiling fan also stopped working. The repairs were prompt, but the our biggest issue was the elevator. My wife was stuck in the elevator and none of the emergency or call buttons worked. She was stuck inside and had to bang on the doors for help, before someone found her and they had to pry the doors open to get my wife out. This experience was traumatic for my wife and the response was not great. If there was a fire emergency, this would be of been catastrophic as the emergency call buttons did not work. Aside from that, the pool servers were awesome and the food was delicious. We enjoyed Gaia the most, then Bassano, Fuego, and finally Tauro (we have better beef in Alberta).
