Great resort! We stayed in room 2465. Awesome view! The resort was cozy and comfortable. Nice beach for walking and playing volleyball. We were able to see whales several times a day. Bring your binoculars! Concierge Joel and Christian are the best. Very friendly and always made you feel as they were there to make your stay a good one. We liked the restaurants also. We have stayed at probably 8 Dreams all over Mexico, Dominican and Colombia This was one of the best! Very good location for shopping and entertainment district. We also felt very safe.

Friendly attentive fabulous staff
We are currently on day 12 of our second holiday here. Alberto remembered us from 2 years ago and at our request looked after us in the cabana for 5 days with the help of Manuel, who was equally as fantastic! There was a mix up booking cabanas through our TA before our arrival but Christian stepped in to saved the day. I was very frustrated as planning a 50th bday with 29 friends was a lot and I wanted everything to be perfect. Christian made it up to us and ensured we were well taken care of and very happy! Next we had the pleasure of having Joel popping by throughout our cabana time and cleaning all of our sunglasses and chatting. He is so personable and from the first meeting remembered our names and always checked in with us to ensure we were good! Through him we met his pool concierge friend Christian, wow these two were truly amazing. Finding and Setting up our chairs, towels, umbrellas always checking in with us, going over and above! It was also great seeing Dani again he brings a fabulous energy to the pool deck! We will be back and hope to see all of our favourite staff again soon! Sherri and Blair

Great resort for families!
We enjoyed our stay at Dreams Vallarta very much. The views at the hotel were beautiful, the staff was so friendly and kind. Special mention to the Explorer's Club staff, my kids had a great time and wanted to come back to the club each day! The food was delicious. They have many options to choose from. Our favorite was the seafood restaurant.

Feb 03, 2025The Staff Made our trip Exceptional
This was our fifth stay at Dreams, and while we’ve always had exceptional experiences in the past, this visit was a mixed bag. First, we have to acknowledge some truly outstanding staff members who made our stay special. Alejandro at the pool provided the best service we’ve ever had at Dreams—he was absolutely fantastic. Alfonso at Bordeaux was exceptional, offering top-tier service, professionalism, and making us feel like VIPs while enjoying amazing food. Eloy, Kevin, and Manuel at Capers also delivered an outstanding experience during both of our visits there. Additionally, Jose and Juan from the entertainment team were incredibly fun, friendly, and knowledgeable—we can’t say enough great things about them! However, this stay fell short in several key areas. In the past, our concierge/butler service was outstanding, with Eduardo anticipating our needs and consistently checking in on us. Sadly Eduardo is no longer at Dreams. This time, our concierge was far less engaged, mostly remaining at his desk with little to no follow-up. It was a noticeable downgrade in service. We were also extremely disappointed by the management’s decision to double the price of the Oasis Cabana. Last year, we rented it three times, but at $600 USD ($1000 CAD) this year, it was simply overpriced and unreasonable—a 100% increase that took away an experience we had previously enjoyed. Additionally, booking a Preferred room felt like a waste. Unlike previous years, we saw little to no added benefit. The service that once made Preferred worthwhile was lacking, and aside from access to an extra buffet in the lobby and our swim out room, there was no noticeable difference from a regular room. Overall, while the incredible staff mentioned above made our stay enjoyable, the decline in service, overpriced amenities, and disappointing Preferred experience left us questioning the direction of the new management. It feels like the focus is more on profit than maintaining the Hyatt standards we’ve come to expect. Would we return? The staff made it worthwhile, but management decisions will determine if we continue to choose Dreams in the future.

Amazing experience
I recently stayed at Dreams Hotel in Mexico, and it was an incredible experience! The service was outstanding, with friendly staff always ready to help. One of the highlights was being able to see the whales right from our hotel; it was absolutely amazing to witness these majestic creatures so close. I highly recommend Dreams Hotel for anyone looking for a fantastic getaway! Big shout out to Ivan, Alberto and joel
