  Great experience

  Crew was very accommodating to all of our needs. They treated my son with kind and care. I definitely recommend anyone who would like to stay at the dreams Tulum. Explorer kids club crew was friendly and helpful. There are several options for kids to play with

  Two Day Trial

  Interested in Vacation Package. They accommodated a nice room, dinner and massage for us to check out the amenities. The customer service was very good and we enjoyed the short time spent. Easy to get to all the restaurants and bars. Beach was not crowded

  Dreams was truly a NIGHTMARE

  Dreams is actually a nightmare! DO NOT go here. My father in law generously takes our family and my husband’s sister’s family on vacation after Christmas every year. So I am pretty well versed in all inclusive hotels. And this was by far the worst. Here are the lowlights: they upcharge for everything. The food is awful. You have to upgrade and pay more to go to other restaurants on property. Out of the 11 of us, 5 of us got sick 3 or more times in a week’s stay. My sister in law’s room flooded from the faulty AC unit and it took 4 phones calls for maintenance to come. When she asked what they could do to compensate her, they looked at her like she was asking for the World. Finally, they washed the clothes that got wet and gave us a nice table w a bottle of wine for “free”. The beach had volleyball and a paddle net that they took down at 5pm every day. There were no other activities for our kids and teens to do (teen club was indefinitely closed). You couldn’t charge anything to the room, so you had to use your credit card for the cabana on the beach or to get chips or sunscreen from their store. The beach wasn’t great and the pools had no deep end. When we needed transportation to take us on excursions, the price to take us was outrageous. The only positive thing I can say is the staff were friendly and nice. But this is a very poorly run Hyatt and please do not waste your money here!

  NOT ALWAYS HYATT MEANS QUALITY

  I read many comments about this resort and they seemed good enough to me, so I booked to spend Christmas with my family in this place Before arriving we called to verify if there would be any celebration for Christmas but the concierge never provided us with the information and only told us that they would have a special celebration for Christmas but the concierge could never tell us what activities they would be. When we arrived, check-in was quick and without any problem. The buffets variety is small and was almost always the same repetitive menu for breakfast (poor) some waitress are very nice but some are very rude and if you are not whte skin and color eyes , mmmm, they just ignore you, the christmas celebration was really boring and nothing special for us that we was expecting a colorful or happy celebration, they was offering a christmas dinner for 800dls but the entertainment was kind of wrestling and we are not fan of this so we decline and we decide to celebrate in any of the restaurants , we decides to go to the Himitsu or asian restaurant because was the only 1 available for my big group and the hostess was rude and we can experience racism on this restaurant cause she was so kind with white people and she was different with us, she gave us a table after 1 hour late and the kitchen was soo slow , the dinner was more on less but nothing spectacular, the server was very slow with us because in the afternoon for brunch we visit the barefoot grill and he offer us to buy and pay 100dls for make a reservation for any of the restaurants available on christ mas night but we decline , so that night on the himitsu was same server so he takes long time to bring us our dinner then we was looking for some entertaintment or a place for make our secret santa but only the beach bar was open and because this is a very small bar there was full so we have to back to our rooms and made from there, it was very dishearted that almost all waiters where very racist cause every time we went to the swim bar they just ignore us the only one exception was 2 barmans that works on christmas eve that serve to us nicely, we visit only the buffet, the portofino , barefoot grill that was very dirty and Cafe Coco, we were unable to visit the other restaurants because they are very small and the resort was full on capacity, they clean my room late at night and i have to make a complain with the front desk and call them several times, the bedrooms needs to update some furniture the mini bar was hot and i request to verify but they never go, the amenities was some ok but the body cream smell bad cause i think they never change and there was no shampoo or body soap , was very dissapointed and sad cause its suppose we will have a good christmas but the attitude from some staff and the lack of entertainment was a big issue for us , is very sad that the staff treat you differently because the skin color or nationality i think all guest deserves the same respect and service !

  Great tennis facility!

  Horacimo, the tennis instructor is a great guy and great coach. I would 10/10 recommend taking a lesson with him if you are interested in improving your tennis game while on vacation. Will be back soon! After the tennis; the gym and the jungle gym is a great place to continue your sweat.
