Good but some room for improvement. You should go as a Preferred Club guest.
We have been to a few all inclusive resorts in Mexico although it’s been over 5 years since our last - Hyatt Ziva Cancun. I will be as honest as possible, there are many amazing reasons to love this resort but there is a lot of room for improvement. Many specialty restaurants closed on any given day , although it appears the hotel is near capacity. Lots of weddings. Specialty dining restaurants - the wait is real. If you are not in line by 5:45 expect a two hour wait. You get a helpful buzzer so you can return when your table is available, but we were feeling the places to wait and hang out could have been better. The ambience in the Mexican restaurant was non existent, we felt like we were at the buffet (side note the buffet is pretty good). We got the feeling the resort is understaffed, the staff attending to us in any of the restaurants were fantastic, but they were crazy busy. The Tides take out - my daughter and I waited for service over 30 mins and no one came to see us, even as we made eye contact and waved them over - too busy with other tables, we just left. Fusion is probably the best restaurant, food was good as was service. Beach - beautiful beach although the weather was a bit rough this week. Our family prefers the beach, just gorgeous. Service was great the first few days, then was lacking the rest. Again , I think under staffed in the non preferred area. This could be improved. Pool - all are beautiful, bartenders at the Grotto did a great job and were so nice to all the kids. A true family atmosphere at the pools. Only negative was no shade available when the umbrellas could not be opened due to high wind. Not the hotels fault. Only preferred club guests can use the Bali Beds for shade. Room- awesome and well maintained, the housekeeping team did a great job every single day. They are the real hero’s here! Room service - we fell a bit sick a few days and preferred a bit of room service, but menu is limited versus other resorts we have seen. Otherwise the staff delivering was always courteous and professional. Would we return? Yes but only as Preferred guests as we thought being preferred club at this resort does provide many advantages we have not seen at other resorts in the past.

Great concierge - JAIME
Jaime Lagunas in Food concierge was so amazing, attentive, and helpful. From getting us Bali beds by the ocean to poolside loungers and umbrella. Remembered our name days after all from the first interaction!! These guys have a difficult job at times dealing with upset customers, please give grace and have a great time on vacation!!

Family fun Vacation
We went with our family and had a wonderful time. The preferred club was a nice touch as we had separate cabanas located around the pool and beach just for us. The food in the specialty dinning was very good. If you have kids as we did get in line early.

No great shakes resort
Pretty average, no great shakes. Reception just gave us room cards, no information about restaurants, services etc. Restaurant food is good but not much options for vegetarians. Half the restaurants were closed one day or the other. Maris restaurant was consistently good though. Lot of hard selling even in the resort thanks to Hyatt group staff pressurising you to attend 2 hr sessions (claim its 20min only) to join their club and were borderline rude when I declined to join their club, and suggested I wasted their time ( Sales rep Memo was especially bad)! Overall, the resort is quite overpriced for their quality of service from reception to restaurants. Would not recommend at their current pricing/service. At best it was a 3 start hotel level of hospitality.

Family Vacation
This resort was great for kids. Our only few complaints would be that the restaurants always had really long wait times unless you got in line well before they opened. The preferred club sun huts were extremely hard to get unless you arrived at the pool around 5am. The teen club was awesome and I wish they had more times available for 6-12 year old's as they really enjoyed going there as they disliked the kids club (good for 3-6 year olds). Highly recommend the silent party our kids had a blast!! Luis served us at many restaurants and was fantastic. Our kids adored Walter at the pool.
