If it wasn't for those meddlesome kids. Lol
We've been to multiple Dream resorts and this would have been our favorite, except we didn't know they allowed spring breakers. A LOT of high schoolers The parents were cool but one told us there were 210 kids. Ugh Food and drinks good. Room spacious and service was excellent

Dream vacation at the Dreams
Everything here was top notch. We had the preferred club and they were able to move us to a suite that had the swim out pool. This was great for when the kids needed out of the sun but we still wanted to enjoy every thing. The bar was just across our room. The kids loved the lazy river and we spent two days on the beach. There were two weddings while we were there and even though it was loud, didn’t seem to affect our sleep at all. We ate at all the restaurants and actually preferred the French for its steak and the Mediterranean for the surf and turf. We thought it was better than the steak restaurant but that one was good too 🤣. Kids preferred the buffet so we would go eat as a family and then head over to the buffet so they could grab a wider dessert assortment. We had Nelson as our Butler and he was AH-MAZING! He kept us I formed of activities, helped navigate room changes, cabanas and dinner. It’s a bigger resort but we didn’t feel like it was crowded since there are the two larger pools and then a separate adult pool for the PC members. The lounge was just down from our room and we used sand buckets to create our own buckets of beer. Mixed drinks are strong here and they used good liquor from what others were telling us. Wine at dinner was excellent. We didn’t have time for the spa services and we did two excursions. Next time I would pay and use private transportation vs the amstar as that will save you 2-3 hours of your life. Edwin was great waiter at the beach. Staff really went out of their way to make our family feel welcome. Cons if I have to: only one slide the kids could use bc you have to be 9. We knew this going in though. Kids club was a downer. We stopped by there the first night we were there and the staff was less than enthusiastic and had closed early. The next day the kids went for two hours and never wanted to go back. They got bit by bugs. We’ve never had them not want to go back. Luckily there’s plenty of other things to do. Tip: the sea pro shop has boogie boards you can use for one hour a day.

Food Service - not worth the value
Food quality was poor and selection was much less then expected and for the price. Limited local cuisine and meats were dry and bland at all restaurants. Service was hit or miss, with 50% friendly and attentive. However 50% were extremely rude and gave attitude. Most notably at Spice

Outstanding Week at Dreams!
My wife and I spent 9 glorious nights at this magnificent resort, and it was one of our top vacations of all time. We upgraded to the Preferred section and had an ocean view room overlooking the Preferred Pool/Ocean. Both the main pool and preferred pool areas had plenty of chairs, great bars, and good vibes. Our Butler Henry took care of all our dinner requirements, including driving us to our romantic dinner on the beach. He went above and beyond daily to make sure anything we needed was taken care of. The beach area was fantastic, and the white out party on Saturday night was an absolute blast! Restaurants: Loved Spice. Went 2x Mexican, French, very good! Italian ok. The main buffet was perfect for breakfast and lunch. Sand Bar made excellent burger/ hot dogs for lunch. Romantic Dinner: Absolutely amazing and beautiful experience. 4 course meal, dim romantic light, right on the beach, stars, champagne, truly memorable experience! Beach: Lots of chairs, especially in the preferred part of the beach, but the main area had plenty as well. Waves were good, and kayaking was outstanding. Vendors walked up and down the beach, but they were respectful and nice. Security was excellent! Entertainment (9:00 pm, nightly) Queen Show, outstanding! Rock Show - really good! Broadway and Dominican show lots of fun! White Out on Beach - absolute blast! St. Patrick's Day Party - Lots of fun! Breathless, the sister resort is next door, adults only, but the vibe is much calmer and quiet. Saw a terrible circus show there, and the casino was small. Went for 1 evening and never went back. The Good Vibes night club was for the 18-21 crowd, so it was not our style and pace. Resort: Beautiful, clean, and constantly maintained, and the housekeeping and wait staff work their tails off. Bartenders, too! Bring small bills and tip them for the hard work they do! Check-in and check-out was a breeze, and due to severe weather in Chicago, we extended our stay by 1 day to avoid travel issues. We were allowed to stay in our room 1 extra night, even though it was previously booked on our original departure date. Thank you, Henry, and the management team for making that happen! All in all, it was a vacation my wife and I never forget.

Family Vacation
The resort was great. Beautiful beach Nice pools Jacuzzi could have been a little hotter. Food was a great walking distance from our building. Rooms felt a little outdated. The balcony with the Jacuzzi didn’t feel inviting. Our room view was a construction site. The water park was a little boring. Didn’t have any music or live entertainment. It was a nice area to visit. Pools close around 6. I wanted a night pool or a foam party.
