Choose Different Resort
The up sell charge for the Preferred status was a waste of money. The food in the preferred lounge was very bad. Why is the adult pool not conencted to the swim up bar? Why are kids allowed in the pool with swim up bar and allowed to be climbing on the bar? The plastic drink cups were dirty and being re-used over and over either in a cleaning bucket or in a big plastic bag. Not a high level resort, I would not recommend.

Decent resort focused on weddings.
Decent resort with a variety of things to do and facilities/ activities to use. Food is okay however service at the specialty restaurants was not consistent as meals for the whole table did not come together. Generally we found this resort is very focused on catering to weddings, leaving less consideration for the non wedding related guests. During our stay there were two weddings a day resulting in many area being closed off for use.

Great Family Experience
This resort was wonderful for families. The resort was a good size for a family with young kids. Easy to navigate. The kids loved the buffet, my husband and I were over it within a few days. The other restaurants were good though. The entertainment was great, both day and night, there was always something to do. My kids had a blast playing soccer on the beach and they enjoyed the shows. The rooms were exactly what you would expect, clean, comfortable, and sized well.

Review of Recent Hotel Stay My recent stay at this hotel in Cancun left me with mixed feelings. Hotel Room: Unfortunately, the condition of the room was a significant disappointment. There was a persistent moldy smell and an uncomfortable dampness in the air. The AC was barely functional, and by the second night, it completely stopped working, requiring maintenance to come in at 2 AM. This disrupted our sleep and overall comfort. Additionally, the bathroom smelled like sewage, even after being cleaned, forcing us to keep the door closed at all times. Food: On a brighter note, I thoroughly enjoyed the food. Breakfast was consistently delightful, and the specialty restaurants, particularly the Italian and Asian options, were excellent. Drinks: Unfortunately, the drinks were a major letdown. They were overly watered down, making it hard to enjoy them, even at the otherwise pleasant pool bar. This was my second trip to Cancun, having previously stayed at Excellence, which exceeded my expectations. This time, however, I was left disappointed. While there were some positives, the issues with the room and drinks overshadowed the experience. I hope the hotel addresses these concerns to improve the stay for future guests.

Ok resort for what I paid.
This resort is definitely very child friendly. My kids had a great time. The food was not great at the buffet. The restaurants were a little better for sure, as well as the grill. Don’t recommend getting preferred at all. I paid nearly 400 extra dollars and saw no difference. Others without preferred were using the same exclusive amenities since no one checks. That was definitely wasted money and I’m upset about it. The bedding was stained (clean, but stained…) the walls did have mold spores growing. Bathroom door did not close so you couldn’t use the toilet without holding it closed with your foot. That was annoying.
