  Dreams was a great place to spend our vacation

  We had a great time in Columbia and staying at Dreams was just what we needed. We wanted to relax, but also have fun and we got both. The complimentary shuttle into the Walled City was nice and allowed us to explore. We had great service from the beginning when Sebas greeted us with a smile and took our luggage. Then there was Jorge 1 and Jorge 2 who helped us at the concierge desk. Jorge 1 - the younger one- arranged our Palenque tour and dinner at Portifino and checked on us when we returned. Yenny with the entertainment staff was great. She was engaging and made sure my daughter and I had a blast dancing and playing games at the pool. We enjoyed the nightly entertainment and there was a good variety too. The food was good, the service outstanding, and the rooms were well appointed and comfortable. We had an awesome garden view of the golf course. Dreams was just what we needed!

  Great time!

  Jonathan, Sergio and Jenny made it all Great! It was amazing, they made us feel at home. Jonathan and Sergio were great and felt like family I loved it here because it great. Will for sure come back and recommend others to come here Great for family and couples

  The dances classes with Eudith were incredible! The swimming pool is very confortable. The food was very good!. We ate at The beach and it was very good. ................................................................... ........

  Extremely Disappointing Stay, not up to Hyatt Standards

  I recently stayed at Karibana Cartagena Golf & Spa Resort from February 14-16, 2025, expecting a luxurious and seamless experience given its Hyatt branding. Unfortunately, this was by far the worst Hyatt property I have ever visited, and I cannot recommend it to anyone seeking a true all-inclusive resort experience. 1. Transportation Failure & Chaotic Arrival Before our arrival, we arranged airport transportation through Travel Borelli, the resort’s travel partner, which was confirmed by the hotel concierge. However, when we landed at 9 PM, no one was there to pick us up. This left us frustrated and scrambling for last-minute transportation at night, especially with multiple road closures making the process even more chaotic. 2. Unwelcoming Check-in & Poor Service in Preferred Lounge We booked a Preferred Club Junior Suite Ocean View, expecting a higher level of service. However, upon arrival at the Preferred Lounge, we were not offered champagne or given any orientation about the property—something we saw being done for Spanish-speaking guests and even for non-Preferred guests in the main lobby. This clear inconsistency made us feel unwelcome from the start. 3. Dirty Room & Delayed Resolution Despite booking a Preferred Ocean View Suite, we were placed in a back corner of the hotel with a terrible view. The room was dirty, uncleaned upon arrival, and the shower did not work. When we complained, it took nearly half the day to get a room change, completely ruining our first full day at the resort. 4. Poor Food Quality & Lack of Vegetarian Options The food options were extremely disappointing. As a vegetarian, I found it very difficult to find meals that suited my dietary needs, and no effort was made to accommodate me. The buffet was also unclean, with flies visibly on the food, and the cushions and carpets throughout the resort were stained and poorly maintained. 5. Subpar Preferred Club Experience • Untrained staff: The bartenders in the Preferred Lounge did not know how to make basic cocktails. I ordered an espresso martini, which was on the menu, yet they had no idea how to make it. Eventually, I was told the bartender was new, but why would an inexperienced staff member be placed in the Preferred Lounge? • Inconsistent service: When I requested orange juice and ketchup for breakfast, I was told they didn’t have it, yet these items were available in the non-Preferred areas. There was no effort made to provide them, making the Preferred upgrade feel like a scam. 6. Beach Club Disorganization At the beach club, we were not given beach chairs, despite paying for an all-inclusive stay. When we ordered food, service was extremely slow, even though the area was not particularly busy. 7. Significant Language Barrier I was shocked at how few staff members spoke English at an international brand like Hyatt. This made even simple requests frustrating and difficult. Final Verdict: A Huge Letdown This was one of the worst resort experiences I have ever had. As a Hyatt loyalist, Discoverist member, and Hyatt Credit Card holder, I expected a much higher standard of service, cleanliness, and hospitality. I of am also hosting my wedding at a Hyatt all-inclusive property this year, but after this stay, I am seriously reconsidering whether I can trust Hyatt’s all-inclusive resorts to deliver a quality experience. Do yourself a favor—stay elsewhere. This resort is not worth the money and does not meet Hyatt’s usual standards. Avoid at all costs!

  Great but make sure the band is paying attention with what the dancers are doing

  It was excellent but the person on in the band on the clarinet was on his phone when the couple was dancing. Everyone in the band should be in sync with the dancers and should not be on their phone in the background even if they are not playing their instrument.
