Great experience beautiful Ocean front an almost perfect place.
Wonderful experience overall beautiful resort loved the World Cafe staff especially Eloisa the hostess and Yuliana (Judy). Food delicious. Room was spacious, clean, well-stocked. Will definitely return. Great excursions plus lots of other things to do. Great snorkeling, scuba diving and shopping.

Good Room, Really Bad Food
We spent a week in a queen ocean front room with a swim up porch. The room and most of the hotel grounds and pools were very nice. However, the food was really low quality and the service was slow. Since we had reciprocity with Sunscape and Secrets, we tried some of those restaurants as well, but it was all the same poor quality food. We ended up taking taxis into downtown Cozumel and pay for better food and drinks. We have stayed at all-inclusives on the Cancun side and other Carribean islands, and the food and service at Dreams was of much lower quality than those previous experiences. It was not worth a premium for all-inclusive.

Bad Experience
Arrived at 2:50 PM Thursday. Got into junior suite at 5:35 PM room 1126. Old and dated room. No working phone headset, no iron. Floored covered with water, moldy smell. Hot water was not working. Management will not transfer us to another hotel. Extremely condescending. Called Hyatt World who transferred me back to hotel. Hotel employee told me manager was on a day off. Yet a woman who spoke to me at 8:00 am alleged she was the manager. I was told I could check out and leave but would receive no credit. I have been to Cozumel over twenty times this has never happened before.

Celebrating with family and friend! What a great trip!
Spent a lovely week in November to celebrate a number of birthdays! We really appreciated the use of the wheelchair and golf cart transportation between resorts for my elderly parents. It made it so much easier for them to get around. The entire staff was very friendly and accommodating. Resort was clean and very comfortable.

Complete disrepair - spend your money elsewhere
The resort is in total disrepair and was far below expectations. We have visited Mexico more than 30 times and this was by far our worst experience. We have come to expect a certain quality and thought that Dreams / Secrets and the Hyatt brand would be able to deliver that. The actual rooms were fine but the properties were very run down. Things were falling apart, there was rust, mold, missing tiles, peeling paint and horrible patch jobs everywhere you looked. Some Bathrooms were closed, hoses ran along walkways and several areas had a bad sewer smell. Housekeeping was very inconsistent. The food in some restaurants was decent but was often delivered to the table at room temperature or cooler. Ironically, the best food we had was in the pizza restaurant . . .but this is not why we traveled to Mexico! Buffets were outdoors and the fruit and bread items were uncovered and had flies and other bugs on them. The variety was very lacking compared to other resorts we have stayed at over the years. Food items were rarely replenished unless we brought it to the attention of an employee. Chairs at the buffet were rusty and one evening the bar literally fell apart. The granite face came crashing down and the debris was not swept up after 5 days when we left the resort. If we had not been with two other couples, my husband and I would have left and sought accommodations elsewhere. The night time bar called "Desires" was close to empty because we never saw the DJ show up when he was supposed to. The response was always "he is on the way and will be here in a Mexican minute". The nightly entertainment is nothing compared to other resorts we have stayed at. We had to make a conscious effort to stop complaining about all of the things that were so disappointing. The only upside was that we traveled with good friends. Unfortunately, after spending a good amount of money, we all left saying that we wanted a "re-do" and needed a real vacation. The location has so much potential but the state of the resort left us with the impression that it should be torn down and replaced with a new one.
