Mar 29, 2025Great, recommend, but a few hiccups.
This is a great resort for families. The facilities are top notch, the food is mostly very good (not great) and the service is mostly excellent. There are a wide variety of activities and lots of great stuff for kids. The kids club was great, the pools and water park are wonderful, and when poolside or at a bar, you could not ask for better service - however a few hiccups - had one really terrible (service and food) dinner - it happens, but the staff seemed perplexed about how to handle their repeated errors, so we ended up feeling frustrated - not something we should experience on a vacation! There is no enforcement of rules - people put stuff on lounges and leave for hours, despite signs saying it will be removed after 45 minutes. There were tons of little kids in the fitness center- seemed dangerous. Also, when our 6 year old family member went down the "big" waterslide, an adult man came down so close behind him that I jumped in to intervene. When addressed with the guard, we were told he knew it was a problem, but nothing else. To end on a good note, we DID get access to the preferred 6th floor lounge which was a calm oasis in a place filled with people, music and activity. We loved the Mexican breakfasts outside the buffet, which was far better than we expected, and our room was spacious and comfortable. Despite the hiccups, would recommend.

The hotel was very well maintained, clean, great food, friendly staff, lovely spa experiences. We were very well cared for all week. Jared with Amstar was so helpful with our transportation needs and gave us lots of options of fun things to do. Thank you to all it was a wonderful trip and we would definitely retur.

Jarad with Amstar deserves a 10/10. He was amazing to work with. He went above and beyond to make sure we had last minute transportation to our excursion for 31 people! He even found us a back up adventure when we thought ours was going to be cancelled! He has so much potential! Thank you Jarad!

Great Resort
Our stay at Dream was fantastic! Our housekeeper, Karina, was wonderful—attentive, friendly, and kept our room spotless. The management team ran everything smoothly, making for a stress-free experience. The gym was a standout—well-equipped with extensive machines and free weights, plus it was incredibly clean. Highly recommend this resort for its excellent service, organization, and top-notch amenities. Looking forward to returning!”

Second time better than the first
This was our second time coming to Bahia MITA and was just as great as the first time!! There are so many things for kids to do to stay busy. The “kids pool” is a separate area from the main big pools (there were 2 main big ones). They have the coolest pirate ship splash pad for younger kids and 2 bigger pools in the kid are. Plus 3 huge water slides! There’s a bar, ice cream, taco truck and a grill so you can stay the whole day, which is great with kids. At the main pool, there are an additional 2 slides! Smaller but still great! I cannot recommend bahia MITA enough. Watch for whales on the beach!! And try to find the “secret” pirate walk to the splash pad. Felt like I was at Disney.
