Bad experience
Ultimate vacation club scam … be aware of high pressured sales right at check in.. many lies . Rooms were dirty and food was not great. Very disappointed. Felt scammed the entire stay in everything we did. Hyatt do better !! Do your research on other sites and find out more about this hotel and their pressures.

LOVED IT!
I had the best time and the entertainment team killed it! Rhianna Tiari Johnny bravo Justin Bieber Beyonce La Negra Baby face Victor Og We can't wait to get back there in a few months! The weather was absolutely perfect with a small shower for about 10min every day

Beware of this Resort!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
DO NOT go to this hotel! You'll get high pressure to schedule a meeting early the next day to see a presentation on Hyatt properties and you'll be lied to that there are no sales. Then you'll get trapped into having breakfast with one of the staff at the free breakfast (really?) and then a very high pressure sales pitch to buy into Hyatt properties for $44k. The rooms are shabby, the beach is really far from your room. The mattress shows where two people have slept for years. The closet doors don't close evenly and the drawers and doors on the other furniture is worse. The bathrooms are very small. The World Buffet closes with no notice and you are left to fight for the few tables at the other restaurants. If you knew the Buffet was closed, you might go to dinner a bit early. Room service menu is limited but the service and food is good and just what you order. The beach service is lacking, not enough people. The lifeguards and security are good. Red flags everyday as this beach faces directly into the Atlantic. No quite restful swimming or snorkeling. But the water is clean with no plastic. After three days, bacterial enteritis and dehydration were on the menu. The doctor is WONDERFUL so don't wait to call her when you get sick on this resort's food. She can save you a trip to the hospital. I can't say enough bad things about this hotel. You will go there of course. And others might disagree. Caveat emptor!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Food poisoning requiring hospital stay
Traveled to the DR from the USA for a family wedding at this “5 star” resort. Over half of us left with some sort of Gastrointestinal sickness. It was so bad that the resort actually ran out of Gatorade, pepto bismol, and Immodium. My 10 year old son developed severe diarrhea less than 24 hours into our trip. He saw the doctor at the medical center at the resort. She basically did nothing but charged us a few hundred $ and then she sent us to the ED at “Hospitien”. Majority of the people there had GI disturbances. I am a physician in the USA and once it was clear to me that they had no clue how to treat him, I actually had my son airlifted out of the DR the following day and taken to a hospital in the USA. He was found to have severe dehydration from salmonella food poisoning. His electrolytes were so off that he was having arrhythmias. He ended up staying in the US hospital for 3 days!! Please do yourself a favor and DON’T VISIT THIS ISLAND OR RESORT. While the people are very friendly, it’s clear that their sanitary measures are subpar to say the least. I will never return and will continue to spread the word to all to stay away from this island and resort. In additional to the sanitary issues around food, the rooms smelled of mildew, The toilets didn’t work. The food was barely palatable.
