  Great trip to Aruba - resort rooms need some love.

  We had a great time at the resort with our family over Christmas. The all-inclusive package allowed us to get food and drinks easily. The staff is expecting tips as they are not built into the check (which is fine but it took me a bit to realize this). We had to sign a check for each meal which allowed us to tip and charge the tip back to the room. I would suggest bringing cash if you don’t want a bill at the end of the trip. My one complaint with the all-inclusive was that you could not order food to go. You had to sit, order, take a couple bites, and then ask for a to-go box. Being at the golf resort allowed us to eat at any restaurant in the Divi group. Not all are part of the all-inclusive package but many of them were. Pools and Beach - The multiple swimming pools were very nice and our large family could always find chairs throughout the day. The beach was across the road which was fine and easy to get to. There were plenty of chairs and it was beautiful. Food - The best places to eat were Mulligans, Ginger, and Club Margot. The Seabreeze had a good breakfast buffet, and it was nice eating outside. Staff - About half of the staff was pleasant and friendly, the other half was grumpy and not friendly. Drinks – Drinks were fine and easy enough to get at the pool. The best drink menu was at Club Margot, it wasn’t the same as all the other restaurants/bars. They put a lot of time and thought into the drink menu. The bartender, Gilbert, was excellent. He was very friendly, kind, and remembered us each night. Make sure to go to this bar if you stay at the resort. Rooms – We got a suite, and it was outdated, worn, and musty. There was a dehumidifier that helped but it still smelled weird most of the week. I liked that the room had a washer and dryer, but I ended up having to wash all my clothes when I got home because they smelled musty. The blinds in the bedroom didn't properly close so it was bright in our room. Concierge - The concierge was okay and helped us book two excursions. Make sure to read reviews about the excursions before booking. We went on one great one which took us around the island. The catamaran snorkel tour was very unsafe as the captain was drinking and ran over a large No Wake buoy. This was not the concierges’ fault, just a warning to check the group you are booking the tour with. Both our tours were with Around Aruba Tours. Overall, I had a great time, but I don’t think I will stay at this resort again. It could be great, but the rooms need work, and the staff need some customer service training.

  How not to be treated as a Platinum Divi Vacation Club Member

  Didn't feel like anyone recognized the member status. Staff didn't seem to care or really go out of their way. It took many calls to maintenance to fix a light and after second attempt with 2 maintenance staff replacing t;he bulb by taking fixture completely out of the ceiling, replace bulb and during the night, while light was turned off to sleep, light kept turning on all by itself, very annoying. Maid service leaves a lot to be desired. They never changed our sheets, left towels not always in bathroom on counters and didn't hesitate to take the daily tip we leave. I wouldn't recommend and Platinum member to expect great service. It seems no one really cares.

  The best experience ever

  Beautiful hotel and very friendly staff, this island exceeded our expectations, what a beautiful place, the sea, the people, the tours, hotel was amazing, the room is like an aparment, is huge. The cleaning is impeccable, the restaurant the bests and the food really good. We are definitely coming back

  Great vacation

  Always a relaxing stay. Friendly staff, clean rooms, and great service at the restaurants. The beach is amazing. Golf is good, too! Particularly recommend the bar staff at Mulligan's! From this location, it is easy to get to wonderful restaurants in Noord and Oranjestad.

  NEVER Disappoints!

  We have been visiting this resort for nearly 8 years, and it NEVER disappoints! The property and rooms are well-maintained, and the service is typically impeccable. We did have a very unpleasant experience with the only younger female bartender at the swim-up pool, who appeared reluctant to serve "us" and was rude and incredibly dismissive the one time she did interact. However, one of the more seasoned bartenders immediately stepped in. When the incident was mentioned at the front desk, a manager immediately came to take a report of the behavior and assured us it would be addressed. Our rooftop jacuzzi required attention on several of the days during our stay, but that issue was promptly addressed. Overall, this is our favorite property on the island, and we are planning a group trip in 2025.
