- Detoxing on land at the fitness center and playing shuffleboard (hey, you can work up a sweat).
- Trying your hand at Lady Luck and taking a spin in the casino. Cha-ching.

I won't go back.
Booked an all-inclusive two-week vacation at the Divi Flamingo from Feb. 18 to March 5, 2025. Went with my daughter. I had booked and paid for the vacation in July 2024 and was very excited to be staying in an Oceanfront room, which is the main reason I was returning to the resort. My daughter and I also liked the location and planned to do a lot of snorkelling. The night we arrived we were told that we "had an upgrade" to a suite with a "great view of the ocean." The suite was on the second floor by a busy road and the casino. (I have a bad knee and found the climb uncomfortable.) To see the ocean one had to look beyond the pool. The suite had a kitchen but I wasn't planning to cook -- I had purchased an all-inclusive package for two weeks and didn't want to cook on my holiday. I said that I wanted to move to an Oceanfront, which I had paid for in July. They said they'd look into it but there was nothing they could do at the time. I talked to about three to four other people at the resort who had booked an Oceanfront and found themselves in a suite instead. I kept phoning to request an oceanfront. In the meantime in the suite, we had a blocked toilet twice and found maintenance rude to us. The key card had to be replaced and I had security come by four times to try and fix the safe. I finally gave up on it being repaired. The front desk contacted me in a few days and said they had an oceanfront available on Saturday, Feb. 22. They offered me $60 to compensate for my inconvenience. (I've yet to see the money.) The oceanfront room was lovely, although the main who helped moved us couldn't understand why we didn't want the suite instead. The only complaint about the room was that I believe we were the victims of theft -- but that's another story. I also found some people who used the pool near the oceanfront suites were endangering guests. I had noticed some people, who I don't believe were paid guests, enjoying the facilities two Sundays in a row. On Sunday, March 2, some mothers arrived and spent the afternoon drinking and gossiping with their backs to the kids. The kids were going wild -- screaming, running around the pool with a water gun, running up and down the stairs to the sundeck and eating their lunch in the pool. It's great that other people besides paying guests can enjoy the pool but control your children! One paying guest said to me that she was going back to her room because she couldn't stand it anymore. As far as the food goes, food at Chibi Chibi was good, although it was about an hour's wait. Wasn't thrilled at the international nights at Pureocean restaurant. Staff, who rotated between the two restaurants, ranged from friendly to grumpy or indifferent. They looked exhausted -- like they needed a day off after working all week. This is my third time at the Divi Flamingo and I won't be coming back.

Very good.
There is much to like about the Divi Flamingo. Its location is convenient to walk to town where there are many fine restaurants. (My faves were Raining fish and Bon Tapa.). There are also fine restaurants at the resort. (A special shout-out to Preeti who was consistently upbeat and competent.) My room was first rate: clean and right on the water. Some negatives are the excursion desk (open only during prime dive times) and the front desk that could provide limited info. Also negative is the lack of a real beach, although the recliners on he peers provide a perfect place to sit and read or contemplate the beautiful sunsets.

Your home away from home in Bonaire!
This resort has become my home away from home in Bonaire. The staff treat you as if you’re in their home! So kind, fun, accommodating. They were going through a systems upgrade while we were there. Not fun! But they were champs. Location on the island is perfect. It’s an easy walk into town. Rooms are clean and fresh. Restaurants offer a varied menu. Do not miss BBQ night on Saturdays or sunset happy hours. Thank you all. Can’t wait to return!

Great location with a lovely uniqueness
Just back after 2 weeks at Divi. After waiting 5 years to finally get to Bonaire after a covid cancellation in 2020 we found the island and Divi to be all that we expected. Snorkelling directly from the resort is our main criteria and Divi had the best we have found to date. We have been to many resorts in the past and have to admit it took a couple of days to get used to Divi's uniqueness. It is generally quiet and lade back, which we enjoyed. Being close to the airport, but far enough away that there was no noise was a plus. And being able to stroll into town in 5 minutes, yet still secluded on the retort, was fantastic. Yes, it is somewhat close to the cruise ship port, but there are no noise issues and it was handy to see when the ships were in to avoid town's busiest times. There is no beach, but we found this to be the norm for Bonaire. I was confused prior to going as to whether meals were buffer or al la carte but it is an interesting combination of both with no need to book times for the served dinners or lunches. For the first time we did not get tired of the food. There is not a huge selection at the buffet, but even with selective diets for the both of us we always found something good to eat at every meal. A shout out to Preeti and Ricardo who were outstanding in their service and attitude. Room service varied between excellent to adequate depending on who was assigned that day. Monique from Tropical Travel in the lobby was outstanding assisting us with booking three day trips, the island tour, Washington Park tour and Mangrove swamp kayaking. All of which we enjoyed. Because we wanted a smaller group experience we booked a Kleine Bonaire snorkel tour with Aqua Fun which was great value and exceeded our expectations. It was a truly a relaxing yet invigorating trip. We will definitely return!

Divi Bonaire is the best!
Bonaire is lovely. Now my favorite island. If you are a diver Divi is for you! This is my third stay at a Divi resort. Outstanding dive team. Staff in the dive shop also gave us great tips on where to visit & eat while on the island. Can't wait to return. Very laid back. Not crowded at all. Small beach, nice pools too. Very relaxing. Stunning view from our hotel room. Once again Divi resort rocks!
