Beautiful & Relaxing Resort
We just got back from our first trip to Couples Negril and we had a fabulous time! The resort is gorgeous, the food was excellent, and the drink selection was amazing! We loved the included activities, such as the catamaran cruise, glass bottom boat ride, and trips to Rick’s cafe. Special shout out to the entertainment team… Deshane, Franchesca, and Iesha…they were all so much fun! Also Shamarie was insanely fun for water aerobics and Shemar the night cook on the beach makes the best grilled cheese sandwiches ever! (He’s also funny!!) Be sure to check out Paul at the piano bar and see Ivy at the pool bar! They are both incredible! We will definitely be back!

Good value, great staff, lovely beach.
We were there for Xmas and New Year and had a wonderful time. We are repeater guests and can sometimes be a bit complacent about expectations. Positives: 1. The staff, take time to get to know them and ask them how they’re doing- they will repay you with the brightest smiles and friendly service. 2. Housekeeping I loved that we got fresh water and clean towels everyday. Coffee accessories were replaced and if you had DND sign on during the day; the evening turn-down service would ensure towels and coffee were replaced, if need be. 2a. The coffee pods were excellent. 3. Plenty of shady loungers! When I’m on holiday, I don’t want to have to be rushing out at the crack of dawn to grab a bed- no worries of this at Couples, you can easily find a shaded bed all day long. And the loungers are comfy!!! 4. Location Sandy beach, beautiful clear water. Loved watching the beach traffic and supporting the musicians and vendors. 5. Free Activities The catamaran, snorkelling, scuba-water-skiing etc - should never be taken for granted. Water sport staff are great! Negatives 1) Entertainment Some of the daily entertainment activities could get a bit intrusive, especially if you’re trying to have a quiet lunch at the Grill bar. 2) Wine All the house wine is undrinkable! We ended up having to spend money on the Managers Wine list which could be improved-please! Top Tip - Bring a few bottles from home.

Good but not sensational
We stayed here for 8 days in December. As others have mentioned, the location isn't great. The journey to and from the hotel is troublesome and lengthy. You can of course book trips if you want to explore Jamaica, but this resort isn't in a prime area. The beach is absolutely gorgeous, boasting white sand and clear, turquoise water. The hotel itself is well kept but has dated decor. Beds were spacious and comfy. Our shower wasn't hot and this didn't get resolved until the 3rd time of asking. The nude beach is a fantastic addition for sun worshippers like ourselves. There were resident cats which I loved! The food in the restaurants was great. But the buffet area is a little underwhelming and samey, in all honesty. The games room is fun, especially for us Brits who love pool! Minus one or two individuals, the staff were apathetic and unhurried. We were actually shocked to see such positive reviews with regards to staff being super friendly and helpful - that wasn't our experience at all. However, 90% of the guests were incredibly welcoming and kind. The gift shop and clothes store were nice touches. The activity timetable was good, it was great to have access to the watersports. Unfortunately, the boat trip doesn't stop at Rick's Cafe which was a real shame. We enjoyed our vacation but we wouldn't return again. Areas for improvement: * Better breakfast selections (more fruit, cereals, smoothies etc). * A revamp of the entertainment areas * Staff to work on their hosting and communication skills * Factor in luggage transference for guests who are up high on 2nd/3rd level apartments - no lifts or ramps

Wedding Week!!!!!
We took our closest family and friends to Couples Negril for our destination wedding over New Years Eve!!! It was amazing! We have 48 people in our group and Couples did a great job organizing with our Travel Agent. Shelly-Ann set up our private bonfire for our wedding party that included a fondue fountain and bar. She helped coordinate our catamaran wedding ceremony, checking on everything I needed as well as help set up our beach volleyball game with our group. The staff was amazing, the NYE celebration was fantastic. This was the 4th time we have been to Jamaica and 3rd time to Negril, this was by far our favorite resort we have stayed at!!! So thankful for Couples Negril for making a magical wedding week for myself and our group!!!!!!

lacking in so many places.
If you want non modern and relaxation this is for you. this is a very old population at this resort. mostly couples above 60. we felt very out of place. The hotel is lacking in ALOT of places. slow service. food was good. with a no tipping policy you get that. the beds are OLD, with mattress toppers. we had a bathroom issue and it took Maintenace 5 hours to fix it. the beach was fantastic but saldy we will never return there. the resorts "contact us" for issues never respond and do not care. they got their money. Ill stick to a higher resort thats worth the money we paid. do not go.
