  We just want a coffee in the morning

  No Coffee available except for at the buffet. If you want to enjoy your morning coffee outside you're out of luck. No Coffee or pop or beer in the rooms. The bars close at 11:00 pm so if you want a night cap you will have to go to the Disco. Buffet food is good. Breakfast omelettes are great. Beach is good for snorkeling. Rooms are tired and dated.

  ProDive International Dive Center at Catalonia Yucatan Beach resort

  I had a great diving vacation with ProDive International Diving Center. Their dive masters are great. I have spent 8 incredible dives with them and was amazed by the marine life they showed me. I swam with turtles, a sting ray and saw a nurse shark sleeping under a cave Special thanks to Veronica, Diana and Frank ,the dive masters.

  Nickel and Dime - Catalonia

  Worst all inclusive resort I ever had. Lots of reasons - people in our group from Winnipeg otttawa and Calgary and we go annually - I would not advise again. Lots of reasons. Treatment was terrible when asking for even a remote control battery. Took two days and management to step in. (“Had to go buy some batteries”) NO KETTLE in room. - not available either. NO COFFEE MAKER in room - not available. HAIRDRYER - ancient and hard to turn on and off. (If you are an older person… good luck. My struggle was daily. NO POP OR BEER in room - nope they stopped doing that. No cans or bottles anywhere here unless you go buy some. BARS: nothing available/open until 11 (only 2 as well we could use. Line up 1-15 people long…. You will wait until after noon for it. Gaps between opening on snack bar/lobby bar and sports bar - so no food available. Beach- ROCKY cut my foot day one and rocky in and out of water. Don’t plan a beach walk- no where to go left or right from this place. (Like your in jail) Volleyball on beach is literally 2 feet from loungers…. Ever feel a volleyball in the head. Plan to be on guard and catch the ball - even if you are now playing! ALL people servicing you even the airline reps pass the buck. One says got talk to hotel and the concierge says talk to your rep. CIRCLES!!! Waste of time. Constant line ups everywhere. A LA CARTE(s) …. good luck getting more than two and good luck getting to book one - 4 laptops/phones trying book us in. Mexican was aweful fyi. I’m not seeing any of this lately because I’ve been to three all inclusive every year for the past five years I’ve never experienced this. The GYM - fantastic: minus the construction/painters there by 7am daily - great fumes while working - and about .5km to get there from yukatan lobby. Out. A/C didn’t work in gym or in lots of our rooms (10 people In our party) Anyone ever go to a pool that’s so cold that the scuba people with wetsuits complain? that too! I looked and walked around the entire resort every balcony that has chairs does not have any cushions and they’re so uncomfortable. My bed headboard fell off the wall too. Check out - better do this the day before or you will stand in line in the shuttle I’ll have to wait for you.. Sports bar would be great if they even had a snack there like most places… but nothing. Checking out late? Nope no shower or room available to freshen up. You have to use the washrooms at the pool. (No shower or space to change). I am a Catalonia member and discusted in this place. They won’t even offer me late check out and I am entitled to this. This place is like they are trying to make every waling dime and not offering anything. Good luck in your all inclusive choice but don’t plan this one - there are lots of better options.

  Pay extra for the elite side to have a good time.

  Stayed in the yucatan beach side. That was a mistake . No coffee or anything but water in our room. Room run down and noisy. Not enough chairs at beach or pool. Bars don’t open until 11 am so no nothing but water to drink except if you go into buffet. Had to walk to other side to get coffee in the morning. Maid cleaned well, but asked for extra blanket from desk first day and never received it. Buffet was decent but always the same; good thing we are not picky about food. Snack bar was terrible. Creperie stand at pool was a highlight!! If you stay at yucatan side you cannot use their buffet or bars and you have Mexican or Italian for a la carte which at booked within 3 minutes of becoming available on app to book. Resort gardens were clean and well maintained. We enjoyed the snorkeling and most of all what made our trip was that we could walk to the marina (resort is in a gated community that was large and safe). They have a dolphin place where you can really enjoy them without paying, or pay to get in the water with them . We had great pizza there and walked there every day and really enjoyed the atmosphere outside the resort and its safety.

  Beautiful and quiet resort

  We were a bit nervous after reading some bad reviews……however we had a very good time! Loved the small resort, and being able to also go to the neighbouring resort. The beach was great for snorkelling. We saw so many pretty fish. Just loved that. You could just walk into the water and see the fish if you were not into snorkelling. The food was good if a bit repetitive. The ala cartes were good and the burger joint was super good. The staff were great. The resort was kept so Clean. The Christmas decor was going up every day and was lovely. You can take a short walk to the marina and visit many shops, bars and stores. Watch or swim with the dolphins. Hot sunny weather every day. Take some water shoes and a hat!!!! Nice quiet place. The night life is at the adjoined resort. We loved the quiet at night. Ask for a pool view!
