Fantastic! Vanessa gave me the best massage and Maritza gave my hubby an amazing massage. Lionela, Veronica and Francis are all lovely - what a great team! Highly recommend!!! We are so relaxed and that takes a lot to do! Thank you to an exceptional team amd can’t wait to come back!

Disappointed
Our Villa was not ready for two days with little compensation. Pool was closed for most of the vacation. The Service staff was good, the Front end staff/Manger was poor. DM and Punta Cana is a favorite destination for us and we have been going constantly for the past 10 years plus. When I am spending this type of money for an upgraded Villa i was expecting more. I will be back to Punta Cana, I will not be back here.

Great staff nice and cozy hotel.
Employees were attentive and nice. Rooms were clean and very organized. As soon as we got in we received a welcome drink. When we departed Marcial helped us out and was very attentive. Love this hotel will definitely return. It’s not a huge hotel but it’s very cozy and private especially for couples. It’s an adult only resort which works great.

Serious safety concerns, bad food, and inconsistent service
We have never been on a trip and wanted to go home but this was a first at the catalonia. We will start on the facility which is the only good thing about this property. They have beautiful ground and an okay beach. However we did witness them spray pesticides during the day while people were out and about which this should be done during the middle of the night to mitigate the amount of people out. Now lets get to our actual experience. The only thing that made this vacation tolerable was the bar staff at the pool. To start off the first room they put us in looked nothing like the pictures of what we booked. Plus the first morning we were woken up to active construction. The second morning they continued the construction all day and we were woken up to industrial chemical solvent fumes so bad they made us sick. We had to do a room change and we almost couldn't pack due to the fumes. We had to go back an forth from to balcony so we were able to breath. That ate up almost an entire day of our trip and that was only the first problem. We also had problems with the food such as the salmon being undercooked (raw inside). We were forgotten at the restaurants not one but twice. Then the wifi went out in our new room. WE had to call twice to get someone to 'fix it'. They didn't fix it and we ended up having to do another room change.

Amazing customer service
I’m not here to review the resort, those curious need to go and experience it on their own. I’m here to do an honorable mention to ANA. She is one of the receptionist at the front desk and should be, really, the head of front desk. Actually, she should be promoted to general manager and be in charge of training all the personnel of ALL the CATALONIA Hotel & Resorts in the country and the WORLD. She is a perfect example of what a excellent professional in customer service should be like: thoughtful, detail oriented, kind, funny, knowledgeable, empathetic, reliable, and everything else that you expect in a customer service representative. Now, I would like to share my testimony with her. When I arrived at the resort, my spirit was low. I was feeling frustrated over something that happened that morning that had been developing for days before my arrival to the resort. I was negative. When I approached the desk a young man welcomed me and he was polite, but for some reason he had to leave and left me in the hands of ANA. She continued with the check in process, and soon after I noticed her light within. Shortly after that she was smiling and then laughing. Her spirit was so positive and her laughter so contagious that I had no choice but to laugh which resulted in me brightening my mood. She was a medicine to my soul. Thanks to her my day changed for the better, and I was then pumped to enjoy what the resort had to offer. We clicked immediately, my husband noticed it too. After that instance, she took it upon herself to take care of us and the rest of my party. She even thought of things that I needed that I had forgotten about. She arranged my transportation to the airport, luggage transfers, whatever I needed, she made it happen (sometimes I had to wait for her to arrive cuz the other personnel were not as reliable). And I noticed it wasn’t just cuz we had a special connection, that’s just how she is. I noticed how she was helpful to other clients as well. She is always ready to provide the perfect client experience. And because of her, more so than the resort, I would consider going back. Congratulations Catalonia Royal Babaro hiring team, you hit the jackpot with ANA. If you ever let her go, you’ll be loosing gold. I will also like to mention Rosairis at the boutique; she is also a spirit lifter and an exceptional customer service associate. And lastly, the manager at Toscana restaurant (his name escapes me) he should be in charge of training all the servers in all the restaurants.
