Feb 21, 2025Great service / almost impossible to get a reservation in a restaurant. Especially for our group of 13.
Abi was fantastic! Always quick and served us all week, always anticipating our order, he knew what we liked and had it to us before we even had to order. TOP Notch!!! We had many great experiences here, would return. Just hard to book to eat…..

Catalonia Review
Overall, we had a great experience. The highlight was the Spa experience and the hydrotherapy. Their pedicure chair was not functioning, so I was not able to get a pedicure. Some minor feedback for improvement: 1. Having beach towels available by both pools would be nice. 2. My mom has mobility issues and uses a walking cane and needed stairway handle bars. Not all stairs have handle bars.

The room was spacious, the swim pool was perfect for our family, the beach, pools and restaurants were all really great. Quiet in the evenings, which allowed us to rest up for the fun in the sun. One of the best beaches we’ve visited, white sand, little seaweed and clear water.

**Really great hotel experience!**
Where do I even begin? The staff here are absolutely amazing. I unfortunately didn’t catch her name, but the lady working at the coffee shop with glasses was fantastic. She was always kind, friendly, and a pleasure to interact with. Nazario at the concierge was also incredible—he was always ready to help with a positive attitude. Ismael at Bo Barcelona went above and beyond for us every time he saw us. I also wish I had the name of our housekeeper because she deserves recognition as well—she worked so hard, did an amazing job, and always left little surprises in our room, making it even more special. The buffet food was really good, with a good mix of dishes throughout our stay. Although I would’ve liked to see a bit more variety, they did a great job changing up the ingredients to offer different versions of the same dishes. We didn’t get a chance to try lunch at the buffet or visit all of the restaurants since we took some day trips during our stay, but the restaurants we did try were excellent. The room itself was fantastic—comfortable bed and pillows, spacious, and I loved the closet. The shower was great, and the overall cleanliness and maintenance of the room and hotel were impressive. The only small thing I wish for would be a way to lock the bathroom door, but that’s a minor detail. We decided to sign up for the hotel’s loyalty program and upgraded to Gold, but we ended up staying in the same room, so we didn’t really benefit from the full perks of the upgrade. We did get access to the priority line at the buffet and enjoyed a couple of drinks with premium liquor, but when it came to the butler program, we didn’t have the best luck—they didn’t respond, and we ended up handling things ourselves. Despite that, we received great service without the extra assistance. Overall, I would absolutely recommend Catalonia and will definitely be returning—both to this location in Mexico and others! --- Stephanie

Family of 5!
Overall fantastic trip. Our family of 5 really enjoyed the ease of getting around. The pools are setup for children of all ages to have fun. We loved the Italian restaurant. All areas of service are fantastic, but we specifically enjoyed Momma Mia! Food was first class & the service top notch! We would certainly come back in the future!
