  My husband and I spent a week at Breathless Punta Cana in November, and while we had a memorable time overall, there are some important details worth mentioning. The property, while not the most modern, is very nicely maintained. The landscaping is lovely, and the staff clearly put effort into keeping everything clean and in good condition. Our room was comfortable, with a cozy bed and everything we needed for a pleasant stay. The food at the resort was outstanding and definitely exceeded our expectations for an all-inclusive. The buffet featured fresh and delicious options, with great salads and dressings being especially noteworthy. The à la carte restaurants were fantastic, offering a wide range of high-quality dishes. The staff in the dining areas were incredibly attentive, going out of their way to accommodate special requests and ensuring we were always satisfied. That said, it’s important to emphasize that this resort is truly a party destination. From mid-morning to very late at night, the atmosphere was loud and energetic, with music, events, and people drinking excessively throughout the day and night. Unfortunately, this often led to loud obnoxious behavior, which made it challenging to find a quiet spot to relax. Whether it was loud music near the pools, rowdy groups in public areas, or late-night disturbances, the party vibe was constant and unavoidable. If you’re looking for a high-energy, social environment with great food and attentive service, Breathless Punta Cana is a solid choice. However, if you’re hoping for a peaceful and tranquil vacation, you may want to consider other options. For us, it was a mixed experience, with some wonderful highlights but also some challenges due to the resort’s party-focused atmosphere.

  Breathless Punta Cana is lovely!

  Our stay at Breathless Punta Cana was amazing! From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the incredible beach and breathtaking ocean views. The weather was perfect, with an almost constant ocean breeze… not too hot. The resort is full of energy, with something fun happening every day, ensuring there’s never a dull moment. The entertainment team works incredibly hard and puts on high-energy performances that keep the vibe lively and fun throughout the day and night. Their dedication and enthusiasm really set the tone for an unforgettable experience. A special shoutout to Zapata, one of the E team managers. Every time I saw him he was kind and approachable and he made sure everything ran smoothly. We also have to mention the fantastic team at The Nook Coffee Shop—Lisbeth, Daisy, and Randy—who were incredibly friendly and welcoming every time we stopped by for coffee. Our room was very clean, thanks to the amazing Vielka, who added such thoughtful touches. The creative towel creatures and beautiful petal arrangements truly added to the experience. Another highlight was meeting many fun and friendly guests during our stay. The lively atmosphere of the resort really encouraged connections, Breathless Punta Cana is a vibrant, fun-filled resort with hardworking staff, amazing guests, stunning views, the perfect weather, and endless entertainment.   VELD music and Go go dancers a plenty

  Lasting impressions from our trip to Breathless PC: Lovely and classy main lobby. Easy check in, one step forward, then boom... you are approached by coupon book man attempting to sell you upgrades and VIP status. ... And you too can get an upgraded room for an additional $1000 (American) with a partial view of the ocean, VIP tx & seating for New Years for $400 (American) or even a $200 bottle of champagne. After dropping our bags in our very nice room, we catch our first glimpse of the party pool which entailed a plethora of thongs, go go dancers, knee high furry boots, skin tight, partial leotards, sky high "skirts" and short-shorts. We learned rather quickly, you better like rave, techno, boom boom, VELD music because both pools compete for the beat at the same time. Sometimes you even get to hear it until 3:00AM. Where was the gentle spa music or tranquil tropical tunes. Did we miss that section? Please be advised... this resort, although lovely, is PARTY CENTRAL....not a spa resort. Please Breathless DJ.... just play the song without the incessant thunderous boom boom back up base which was suspiciously similar in every song. The resort was lovely. Room was great. Beach is beautiful, albeit there was substantial waves and currents. Not swim-able, but fun to play like kids in the waves. Overall, food was simply fantastic. Our fav was Continental and French, but the buffet was great as well. We appreciated the excellent service and giggles with Jose and Erick Murphey(Jose) :) The Spa is outrageously expensive so we didn't bother. Apparently there is a place to get a great & affordable massage a few doors down to the left on the beach. Unfortunately, we heard about this on the day we were leaving. Most night shows were fantastic, with honorable mention going to the Rock and Roll night. She was a legit rocker and ROCKED the house. I am not a "rocker" but totally LOVED that show. Second honorable mention was Disco night. Fabulous, then the circus. Gogo dancers present most nights. Fascinating really. Lasting impression:... Unfortunately segregation is live and well here. This doesn't sit well for us. We were so excited entering the New Years Eve party area. They had it set up so pretty with sofas, and tables, like a lounge, lights and bars. Oh my. Then we realized any nice seats and areas closest to the dance floor and festivities were roped off and had "reservation" signs on every table. The "cattle", non VIP section was crammed in behind posts and along the side with no chance of seeing or participating in the festivities. A good portion of chairs were placed behind some large wicker behive type chairs with zero chance of seeing anything. It wasn't clear how one was "allowed" or supposed to get to the dance floor as it appeared to be blocked by the reserved/roped off VIP section. This segregation made Non VIP clients feel like second class citizens. It carried on not only at the NYE party, but throughout the resort all week, where you were only permitted to sit in premium seats along the pools and on the beach ONLY if you paid extra for them with exorbitant costs for top shelf drinks. One last word of warning. Prepare for underage escapee drunken teens in abundance who roamed and drank freely from the neighboring sister resort (Onyx). Slightly entertaining witnessing the occasional angry mom coming to fetch their truant. Overall a fun weekend. The staff is fantastic. A+ for effort. You can always relax and decompress when you get home.

  Beautiful Resort

  This resort is clean, grounds are kept perfect, we had a swim-up room and staff would clean the pools and grounds every morning. Staff is fantastic, the service is great. Food is good there are many gluten free options, and many choices to choose from. Pools are entertaining, and the beaches are awesome. Wish my one week vacation was longer. New Years Eve Celebration was so much fun. I would recommend this resort. The only thing that I would change is that the lobby bar have extended hours. Midnight is some nights too early to stop socializing with the older crowd who don’t necessarily want to go to the disco.

  Bad Food/Good Fun

  I loved the atmosphere and the entertainment. The staff was nice, and seemed to care about my experience. The food was not good though. A lot of foods seemed undercooked. Not to the point of unsanitary, but it was hard to enjoy. Also, the hours for breakfast were pretty bad. I only was able to make it to breakfast one day because it ended so early.
