Breathless Amazing DR holiday
Open app Your location Breathless Punta Cana Resort & Spa Playa Uvero Alto, 23301, Dominican Republic Resort hotel Ann Just arrived back from Breathless if you have booked you won't be disappointed the Hotel is 5 * lots of themed restaurants didnt need to book just walked straight in we arrived 16th and was lucky enough to celebrate Paddy's day at Freestyle pool where the party didn't disappoint. The rooms are large products replaced nice coffee machine powerful hairdryer and even a clothes steamer in the room. Cleaned every day and turn down at night. We went to pool everyday about 9 oclock lots of beds reserved but also lots available. Bring your own towels and grab pool towels later in the day. We loved the buffet chefs cooking omelettes poached and fried eggs. We did tip but not all the time and received the same service. Carlos at pool bar amazing and big thankyou to Ramon who updated us every day with activities and helped us with trips and show cooking reservation. The Japaneese is the only one you need to book. We would recommend this Hotel and would definitely come back. We did go to Dreams but it was a bit busier. Spring break but we thought they all behaved and we had no issues. As a couple between 55 and 62 felt 20 again lastly and not least the entertainment team were brilliant. Breathless with Emilio
If you stay at Breathless make sure to spend the few extra bucks and book the Xhale club room. Make sure you request Emilio for your butler. He made our 25th anniversary a trip to remember. All the staff is great and the food was awesome. Emilio can help with dinner reservations, shopping, excursions and the spa. We will return as long as we get Emilio as our butler again.

First Time to Punta Cana
Beautiful resort, really nice beach and ocean was great and fairly calm all days we were there. Calm enough not to get pushed over in the waves, as is often the case in Mexico. (although Mexico has my heart) Not perfect - no resort is, but no big complaints other than the rooms need work. Our traveling companions had a harder time with their room than we did. Would be nice for them to remodel, especially bathroom. The shower was good, could be better. Big improvement would be a built in seat/shelf. As an older adult with arthritis, it's becoming almost mandatory for me to have that - not to sit, but to put a leg up. Food wasn't some fabulous 5 star restaurant - but it's an all inclusive. As far as all inclusives go - it was good food. We ate at the buffet a lot, but also ate at some of the restaurants. All were good. The steak house had a long wait. Every place else we got in quickly. The pool areas filled up quickly - or I should say, the chairs filled up. Normal for any all inclusive. We started at the beach almost everyday, and when we were ready for the pool, we just found a chair or two to throw our stuff on - and got in the pool. The pool was perfect temp - not warm like bathwater (gross) or too cold - it was refreshing, and although felt a little chilly getting in, easy to get used to in less than 5 minutes. I've experienced pools at other resorts that were either too warm or too cold, so this was really great. And that was both pools - nice. We left notes on our mini fridge and almost always got what we asked for. More beer and plenty of water. A lot of people will really enjoy the coffee shop in the lobby. I didn't get a coffee until the day we left - but I did go there to return books. Nice a/c going on in there too. Hang out and have a coffee and pastry if that's your thing. We actually did check out the disco a couple of nights, something we almost never do (except my husband) at our age. It was cool, because you could sit outside. We'd go in to get a drink or use the restroom, and watch all the crazy. (It was still a little early for spring break, so it wasn't too bad. But I have heard that during spring break, the teens and young adults will come over from Dreams, so plan accordingly) It was our first time to Punta Cana, and I was not disappointed. I still love Mexico, but I'd love to put that ocean and beach (and their pools!) in front of some of the other resorts I've been to in Mexico - mainly because Mexico is a shorter flight time, but also because I just like the culture and vibe of Mexico. However, if I get a chance to go to Punta Cana again, it might grow on me more. Nothing was wrong with it at all - but we didn't go out of our resort, either. Having been to Mexico multiple times, we've been out and about in Cancun, Playa del Carmen, and Akumal. So I guess you might say that we just feel more comfortable there because we are used to it. And again - shorter flight. Saw some of the shows/entertainment. Some was decent - a good standard for an all inclusive - it's not Broadway. Mainly you have something to look at while you drink, lol. All ages, from 18 to 80. All types of dress from extremely casual to very dressy. Everyone was friendly and happy. I'd go back to this resort. We usually like to try different places, but if I had a chance to go back here, I would not turn it down. There were a couple of things we didn't get around to doing - a bar we didn't hit, never entered the casino (although my husband whined about it - I just got too tired, and our travel companions weren't interested) and we didn't eat at any of the dinner restaurants at Dreams. We did hit their buffet (ours was better) and we did hit the taco truck one day after exploring the lazy river. The lazy river was fun, we also got a drink at the bar in the middle, and the tacos at the taco truck hit the spot. He brought us a plate to share, and we were like vultures - we almost asked for more, but then decided we should be done. We all kind of wanted to have that again, but we never made it back. Pools - 10 Beach - 10 Towel situation - 6 (towel place often opened late, ran out, etc -- but the woman passing them out was a doll) Rooms - 7 for us, 4 for our friends Service - Ha ha, inconsistent. Anywhere from 3 to 10. Some people were FAB, some people looked like they had better things to do. Food - depending where, 8 - 9 (based on all inclusives) Drinks - 7 - 9, (also based on all inclusives) We had a great time. Felt comfortable and safe. Had a little more trouble understanding some staff here than we do in Mexico, because the accent is different and they talk fast!

Magnificent All Inclusive Experience
Our 5 days stay at Breathless in Punta Cana was outstanding. From the initial entry to check out was filled with lovely energetic enthusiastic engagement with their service staff. The waiters Adrian and Jacob always met us with smiles and lively energy that elevated our day with each interaction. Jose and Yoveidi attentiveness and kindness cannot go unnoticed. Overall it was a lovely experience thanks to their staff at every turn!

Juan Nuñez is theeee Best
Juan Nuñez is the best bartender! My friends and I would literally walk from the pool (which has a swim up bar) to Juan’s bar! Breathless is awesome and Juan Nuñez made daytime drinking worth it hehehe! He should train the others….seriously!
