Nov 19, 2024Beautiful, quiet hotel but no real ocean experience.
The first room we stayed in was titled “Exotic Ocean View Studio.” It was tiny, no balcony, and our view was of a long tin roof! (No better than a Motel 6) - see pic below. We upgraded after 3 days for $3,600 to get a suite which was absolutely gorgeous. False advertising about the smaller rooms. Pros- Suite rooms, -All staff are very hard working, friendly, accommodating and fun. - Food was excellent on site and a couple of restaurants good off site at sister hotel, Alexandra. - Small area and lots of seating/cabanas available. - Great poolside entertainment - Cleaning services were excellent - Great steak house at Alexandra Cons- Very expensive! - Don't bother with an Exotic Ocean Studio- nothing exotic abut it - Alexandras restaurants, truck stop, sushi and steak were wonderful. SKIP the Fish Shanty- awful service, main portions and amount of seafood were negligent at best. - Man made beach at Blue Haven and the only option is to go to Alexandra which is crowded. - There is no medic or medial assistance on site. We witnessed one very drunk young lady, vomiting and nearly unconscious - needed a wheelchair to room. Anther older couple also falling and helpless needing assistance. I don’t blame the hotel for people’s choices, but there should be access to a medical professional (or even EMT trained person) to check the status of anyone needing potential emergency care. Overall-great for a small and quiet getaway with wonderful staff and good food. If you’re looking for the ocean experience, look elsewhere.

Nice boutique property with good service and sister property. I would return again.
Profile: 6 family members in 3 rooms. 2 with balcony and 1 standard room. Booked through Costco. Went during 1st week of November which is deemed the off season. Pros: Locality of the pool and swim up bar were great. Onsite all inclusive restaurant was nice and food was good. Housekeeping was responsive and adequate for daily purposes. Facility holds 51 rooms. For the week we were there, they were lightly attended so not so heavy crowds. Cons: The daily entertainment was a bit much (trivia and reading the history Turks) and loud. This is not an adult only location but is shared with its sister property, the Alexandria. Most of the the variety of eating (seafood, sushi, steak) required you to make a reservation (made sense to be logged on by midnight for next reservations or they fill up fast). via the online portal and hop on a shuttle that took about 20 minutes each way. If you wanted to visit the Alexandria property, shuttles started running at 10:20am. By the time you get there, the beach lounges were generally filled up. Location of the towels for the pool was a bit of a distance away from it.. Tips: If you want to stake out space at the bay side of the Alexandria sort, you might want to consider taking a cab there (there charge by the head in the cab..about $10 usd). If you want to get pool side chair or cabana makes sense to get down by 830am or 9am to stake out space and then head over for breakfast. We went during the rainy season. Fortunately, the early part of the week we had some and still had access and the rest of the week was nice.

Nov 16, 2024Blue Haven is a Paradise.
The place is very serene and a great view of the crystal clear pristine blue water. The marina view was excellent . Activities are good. The most we enjoyed was that kayak guided tour. The staff were amazing from office staff to the waiters. Shaneka made our trip very comfortable as well as Ravi, Roshan, Gopal,, and Maiko and Jackson. The smoothie bar has great healthy options where Kelly and Gaelle made smoothies with fresh fruits and veggies daily! Pastries were delicious made by an expert experienced chef.

Fabulous Hidden Gem!
This was a spontaneous trip planned thru Delta Vacations. I did not research the area in advance or choose Blue Haven based upon reviews. What a treat it turned out to be! Awesome resort! Very clean property, gorgeous beach, spacious amenities, delicious food and drinks, and super-friendly staff. Highly recommend!

Perfect vacation getaway
This was a sisters trip and it met all expectations!!! The beach was perfect and there was plenty of beach chairs. The food was phenomenal, especially the coconut shrimp and the mushroom ravioli. The staff of the entire resort was friendly and never said no. The rooms are spacious and the beds were comfortable. This is a smaller resort and it was just perfect.
