    Great family trip option

Kids loved the pool most of all (big and lots of room). A come complaints from previous reviews didn’t understand how towels work but I found the instructions given to us quite clear so if you don’t speak Spanish you might struggle. The ocean waves were pretty rough when we were there so we didn’t hang out there too much. Food options is typical Nicaraguan cuisine (which is always delicious); so don’t come expecting Texas Roadhouse steak or Cheeseburgers. Remember that this resort also accommodates local day-trip families so don’t be surprised when you see the large crowd for lunch. Also remember to tip your servers-those guys out up with a lot of snobby, demanding people and the ones that served us still kept a smile on their face. AC kept our room cool, and shower had lukewarm water which was nice. Mosquitos will eat you alive if you give them a chance so bring bug spray! Our door key cards kept getting deactivated or something so we had to keep replacing it but at least the cabin we stayed at was a short walk to the reception. I’m thinking it’s the key card itself was just getting worn out but it wasn’t a deal-breaker. Don’t let some of the previous complaints fool you. I think people are expecting a sandals-type resort and the complainers are entitled white people. This is not sandals, people! I reiterate that this resort is a place that has great options for families and many locals come here on day-trips.

    Please avoid

There were roaches in our room. The staff at the front desk were very uneducated. I got food poisoning from eating something at lunch. If you’re American they’ll over charge you for activities.

    More maintenance

My family had a great time here. It just need to be a little more maintained/ such as a bit more cleanliness, cutians were stained and/ dust and webs can be seen on the windows sill and corner of the wall.

    NOT WORTH YOUR MONEY

Too expensive for the overall service you get. Gym has broken machines and a few weights and they still advertise it. They let people smokes cigars during kids events in LA CASONA. Same menu every night, unhealthy and poor menu selections. Not activities in the resort.

    Overcrowded

Overcrowded. There’s only one restaurant and there aren’t enough tables. You have to stand in line for a table. Stand in line for the buffet. Stand in line for a cocktail. I decided to leave for lunch. They wanted me to stand in line for a pass to leave. I wasn’t going to do that. We packed our bags and left. I prepaid for 3 days and left after one night.
