Spent 7 days at the Barcelo Maya Colonial with my husband and another couple. Absolutely GREAT experience! -resort is absolutely beautiful, grounds were kept so clean and manicured;love all the fountains and lizards -great to be able to use the pools at the other 4 resorts for different experiences (Colonial pool is beautiful but on the quiet side with no music/activities) -swim up bar was great -beach areas were amazing - Sante Fe, Brasserie and Tokyo a la cartes were fabulous! -buffets were decent, my plate was always full -so many things to do at this resort I couldn't believe it - loved the Strikers 24h sports bar -room was clean with comfy beds and great A/C -staff were friendly and attentive at restaurants/bars We will definitely be returning but next time with our kids as the kids water parks and activities looked fantastic!

Huge resort!
This was my fourth time at Barcelo Maya. The resort is huge with so much to do and great food options. My only disappointment was the room was very damp and humid, which made the bed and sheets feel damp. It made it difficult to sleep.

This was our second trip to this resort , we like staying here everything is close with walking distance or take the double decker bus.

Angie, Nacho,Chema,Brian, Pepe This staff was amazing! So very pleasant and helpful. Would highly recommend this to anyone visiting Barcelo! Go-carts are quick enough to get a little slide, great track and a fun afternoon activity for adults and children.

Having been here SEVERAL times I can honestly say... the food has become repetitive, the rooms could use a little attention, especially the mattresses which slant to the centre of the bed. The staff is always great and the pools and beach are enjoyable. Be sure you confirm your reservations BEFORE you leave, the front desk hit me with a $875 USD additional charge at check in! Not a pleasant surprise after flying into Mexico,
