    Great time

    This was our first visit to Costa Rica and we loved this place. The grounds and hot springs are beautiful. The staff was friendly, attentive and appeared to enjoy their jobs. The food was excellent. The rooms were spacious and gorgeous with an amazing view. We will definitely be back.

    Beautiful property

    The property itself is beautiful and it appeared that each room would have a large windowed view of the volcano. The pool and hot springs were relaxing and enjoyable to hang out next too. Loved our dinner in the main restaurant. It’s very close to the waterfall. We were traveling as just 2 people but I could see larger groups, possibly tours, visiting as well.

    Stunning views

    This is an amazing hotel nestled within the jungle and at the base of the volcano. Fantastic views from our room. Room very spacious, clean and comfortable, added bonus of the hot tub. The staff are so friendly and helpful and the food was great, with lots of choice. The grounds are very well maintained and includes the thermal pools. A very relaxing stay. Lots of availability to do tours to the volcano and waterfall from the hotel.

    Hillside paradise

    Beautiful hillside resort with a fantastic view of the volcano. Each room has a private hot tub in the room. There are very nice hot springs on site and you have complimentary access to another set of hot springs (larger and warmer) just down the road. The food at the restaurants is good and reasonably priced for the portions. The guaro sour is amazing!! And don't skip the spa. The chocolate massage is absolutely incredible! Also, the air conditioning in the rooms is great.

    a pleasant stay

    only criticism would be that lighting in bedrooms is very subdued and its difficult to read anything except under the bedside lights - otherwise room was great , we enjoyed sitting on the balcony watching birds and monkeys and obviously the volcano - pool was fine, breakfast good and evening meals very good - staff pleasant and helpful - walk down the hill to the main road and there is a useful mini market and a restaurant although that closes at 5pm
