Great place but I have to give 4 stars
Andaz was a great resort to stay at. Probably the most gorgeous place I have ever stayed at in my life. The pools were amazing and the views was breath taking. The balcony from the lobby was absolutely beautiful. Had a great stay and enjoyed every minute. Now here is why I have to give a 4 star. With paying $700 or more a day you have to hold them to very high standards. At 4:30 pm everyday they take away the beach chairs. I’m not sure why but sunset in December is 5:45 pm. And I would have loved to watch the sunset from the beach chairs. Might seem like minor thing to complain about but sometimes we did excursions outside of the resort until 3pm and I just wanted to relax in a beach chair until sunset but that was not on option. Again if this was only $200 a night I would have given 5 stars but I have very high standards when I have to work several days just to pay 1 night for this place. My other issue is the hottub was Luke warm half of the 6 days we were there. (About the same temperature as the pool but slightly warmer) The jets also never got fixed. Now I understand that the part to fix it probably had to come from the main land and could not get there on time but again I have very high standards for a place that cost this much per night. When ever I stay at a hotel in general I always look to make sure they have a hottub as I always look forward to hot tubs on vacation.

One of the best hotels in all of the Hawaiian islands
Pros: beautiful hotel, layout, cleanliness, service, food and drink improoptions, location Cons: $$$$, not enough hot tubs Just had a wonderful 4 night/5day stay at the Andaz. The hotel itself is in excellent condition and despite being very busy, is clean and beautiful. There are ample food options, with Kaana kitchen being the highlight. I avoided Morimoto due to the bad reviews but didn’t miss it. Amenities include a beautiful beach that is right next to the hotel. Here, you can reserve excursions such as kayaking, paddle boarding, and snorkeling. The beach itself is clean, accessible and gorgeous. The gym is really well equipped, big, and clean. There is also an 18+ pool if you would like a quieter area. There are daily morning yoga and meditation sessions, as well as bookable sound bath sessions and variety of fun classes such as lei-making. We loved our oceanfront room and while it is pricey, the view is awesome and the balcony is very fun. Our king size bed was in excellent condition and very comfortable. We also really appreciated the automatic curtains. Service throughout our entire stay was exemplary and definitely a highlight, I was very impressed by everyone’s friendliness and attentiveness. Are any improvements needed? Well, as you can imagine, the on-site food and drink is very expensive. Also, there is only one hot tub for the entire property and it would great to add another one, perhaps to the 18+ pool, would be really appreciated. Overall - one of my favorite hotels in all of Hawaii and highly recommended!

Disappointed
We got married here 10 years ago and decided to celebrate our anniversary at the same place that we got married. Upon our arrival, there was a power outage that lasted up until the time of check-in. Nobody offered to pay for our lunch or offer anything as an inconvenience to us with the power outage at the same time during our entire stay of five days we never received as much as a card recognizing our anniversary that we got married at the same hotel nor did we get anything from the hotel as a special welcome . The spa was just OK unfortunately the massage my husband had was just below average nothing we would expect for a luxury hotel. There were also some things we noticed around the hotel, such as maintenance issues, including our lampshade that fell off multiple times in the middle of the night, waking us up. I also have been waiting and it’s been nine days for a charge on my credit card to be reversed as I was told by the front manager that it was just a temporary hold however that charge continues

Andaz Maui Experiences
We spent a week at Andaz as a couple and got a good feel for the place. Unfortunately when the weekend started we got some new people next door. They had two young children who continually screamed not just normal children crying. We felt bad for them since this was a case of bad parenting. Totally ruined our experience and could even sit on our balcony. We went to front desk and requested a room change. Mind you this was the weekend. It was granted and we got a much better room. However, I would recommend this as a strategy since it required upper management approval and was unpleasant. I think a mark of a good hotel is taking the proper course correction when problems arise and they often do.

Unforgettable Stay at Andaz Maui
Had an amazing stay at the Andaz Maui! The service was outstanding from start to finish, and I was pleasantly surprised with an upgrade to a 3 bedroom villa. The space was luxurious, spacious, and perfect for relaxing. Incredible views, great amenities, and overall an unforgettable experience. Highly recommended!
