Falls short on value, but still a quality resort.

I’ve been to this Andaz several times since the day they opened. It was once $300/night and a great resort for the money. Today, it’s $1,000+ for the least expensive room and SIGNIFICANTLY over priced. It’s a nice resort, there is nothing to complain about other than the Valet parking situation, which is a mess. The rooms are clean, views are great, but you’ll want to get something on the 5-7 floors with an ocean view. Rooms are small for this price point. At 1k/night rooms tend to be much larger. Location is great, I’d highly recommend Wailea area. You can walk to The Shops at Wailea in 10 mins. Pros: Great location and views Great lobby Nice shower A lot of pools Cons: Valet Parking. Expensive and you’ll wait 20 mins to get your car and 10 mins to drop it off. Resort is tired and dated. The TV’s in the room are old and low quality. Mattresses are ready for an updated, Rooms are on the smaller side for this price point. Some of the rooms that start at $1,000+ have no view, and are dark. Thats a lot to pay for a smaller, tired room, thats dark with no views. The Breakfast buffet is decent, but at $49 should be better. The pools are nice, but the plaster has chipped off all over them and they need to be replastered. If this hotel was $500/night I would give it 4 stars. $300/night I’d give it 5 stars. But at $1,000 / night plus it’s generous to give it 3 stars. Service, food, and quality are nowhere near a 1k+ hotel. Just for reference, I’m a Hyatt Globalist and have stayed at a majority of the top hotels in the world. I would value this hotel, it’s food, service and amenities at about $600/night maximum, and that is largely because of it’s wonderful location in a premium resort town, Wailea.

    A slice of heaven

We came to Andaz to celebrate my husband's birthday. The hotel was beautiful. The food was fantastic and the staff was very helpful and attentive. The beach is gorgeous! I would definitely go back to this resort.

    Great Stay in Early November

Great stay—staff in particular are very attentive, helpful and kind. Small touches like the room layout (lots of storage options with drawers and large closet), complementary in-room snacks (chips, cookies, POG juice and Maui Brewing Co root beer), complimentary water bottles and beach bags, free checkout of boogie boards, free mochi ice cream at the pool on the afternoons, complimentary car for drop off/pickup within 1 mile—make the experience feel more luxe. Beach is beautiful, small waves at most of the winds come up. Kids loved the pools even without water slides, and we had no trouble getting pool chairs each day (note the beach has fewer chairs so those would fill up by late morning, but folks would leave throughout the day so we could find one if we waited). Only major complaints would be: price of kid’s meals for the value (kid’s menu is burger, chicken tenders, typical choices just high price for these items), and cost to park ($59/day, and we still tipped every time we used the rental car, so quite pricey). Would absolutely stay here again, and definitely recommend to those interested in an elevated hotel in Maui.

    Great Couples Escape

Great couples stay. Ocean view room deliver classic Maui sunsets and the rooms offer a unique luxurious experience. The spa is on point and offers the experience you'd expect for a lux resort. Staff were helpful and the beach loungers with umbrella make for relaxed beach days. The big surprise...some of the best snorkeling is right on the beach in front of the Andaz!

    Andaz Wailea is a gem

The Andaz Wailea Resort is a gem. It is such a beautiful property and very relaxing. We have stayed here multiple times and always enjoy returning. There are activities available at the resort itself and in the Wailea Resort area including many dining and shopping options, all within walking distance, or you can have the resort's complimentary shuttle take you. You will not be disappointed in a stay here.
