Not to be confused with the similar-sounding Ambergris CAYE in Belize, Ambergris Cay is located about 600 miles southeast of Miami, Florida and 100 miles north of the Dominican Republic. The island sits on the southeast corner of the string of Turks and Caicos Islands that surrounds the world-famous Caicos Banks, whose shallow turquoise blue waters and surrounding reefs are so brilliant, they can be seen from space. Just east of the island is the Grand Turk Passage that descends to nearly 7,000 ft. with ideal conditions for fishing, whale watching and wall diving.
Ambergris Cay has been a private island since its purchase in 1811 and saw little development until the late 20th century when modern infrastructure was put into place, catering to an upscale clientele looking for privacy and rustic Caribbean charm. The

We literally could not say enough good things about this place! Everything was so perfect! But let’s go through it all! 1st - Our Butler CLAY!!! He is absolutely the best! He made the stay amazing! He’s so personable and accommodating! We got a phone to use to contact him and was swift with responding and getting us what we needed! 2nd - Our bungalow was PERFECT!!! It was clean, spacious, and cozy! It came equipped with everything you would need! Bluetooth speaker, fully stocked fridge, anything you could need! The view from bed was amazing to wake up to every day! 3rd - THE FOOD & DRINKS!!! For an all inclusive resort you would think that the food and drinks would be rather lackluster and watered down but no way! All the food was flavorful and cooked to perfection! The bar tenders Diane and Abi were great! Best espresso martinis and if you see Diane, ask her for a green tea shot! It will be the best thing you’ll have! 4th - All of the staff is phenomenal. One staff member in particular will forever have my heart! EVELYN! She has the most kind and beautiful soul and I immediately gravitated towards her! If she hadn’t been working we could have talked for hours and hours like we were best friends! She was just so great! Like i said, there’s not enough good things to say about this place! We have traveled a lot and this by far was the best vacation we have ever been on and I am not sure how we are going to top it! I am sad to be leaving but we will be back again and again for sure!

Ambergris Cay the true definition of Paradise
My wife and I have been to several countries in Europe, Central, Caribbean. Turks has been on our list for several years. The Ambergris Cay created a truly memorable experience. Our guide through our 4 night stay was Clay, a prince of a man. As our Butler, Clay created a curated experience within the all-inclusive environment. Clay was available to us at all times day or night. Clay managed to stay out of sight while being two steps away. Our vacation was a magical experience with the picturesque views, great food and staff that sought out the opportunity to enhance our stay. Joslyn, our waiter and bartender insisted on taking care of the complex dietary restrictions in our group even when other team members were assigned. Could not ask for anything more from the Ambergris Cay team. Top 3 vacation experiences and not three! Clay...thank you!

WOW ! .. All Inclusive Private Island
This Island is a must ! Its all inclusive and cost us around $3,000 a night ( 2 adults and 1 child ) This includes all meals , top shelf liquor, butler service , golf cart and round trip flights to TCI airport . It might sound expensive, but thats on average for any butler service at any true 5 star resort in Turks and Caicos and i promise you will not receive this level of luxury and amenities as Ambergris Cay delivers..... Before you arrive the concierge emails you a preference / request form .detailing on what snacks and drinks you want in your room and even the temperature of your private plunge pool .....We have been going to Turks and Caicos since 2009 and this Resort has left a lasting impression on us. We have stayed at the Ritz-Carlton TCI , The Shore Club , Seven Stars , Ocean Club all true 5 Star and Beaches resorts and Ambergris Cay blows them all away . Our butler name was Clay ( request him ) and he was the backbone of our vacation. They give you a resort phone to call or request anything that you may need or want ( ex. Extra towels , water , snacks , wine... ) The food was perfect ! Staff remembered all our drinks and any allergies my family had. We had everything from Cheeseburgers to Lobster . Again its All Inclusive so order what you wish. At the end of your stay you can tip accordingly. I tipped my butler (Clay) separately from the remaining staff just because he was so helpful and payed attention to detail . I'm really not that good at reviews but Ambergris Cay was on a different level and wanted people to know about this amazing Island and great staff. Thank you Ambergris Cay. Incredible!
We had such a wonderful time celebrating our 10 year wedding anniversary! The staff was amazing and was there for our every need. Clay was so great! He made our stay comfortable and unforgettable! He went out of his way to get and clean conch shells for us to take home to our little girls! Pedro was wonderful too! He was so friendly and kind. We would highly recommend everyone to experience the beauty and luxury that ambergris cay has to offer!

Ambergris Cay does NOT disappoint! From the accommodations, to the bungalows, to the activities...and especially the staff...we'd rate this an 11 out of 10, for certain. Unlike other resorts, and having to ask -- and often wait -- for any special requests, most things we've had to inquire for at other resorts are included or are taken care of for you immediately. It's the perfect balance of privacy and "seclusion", with lots of activities and things to do and places to explore. What made the experience the best, however, was how the staff truly anticipated our every need. It was our 10th Wedding Anniversary and my husband's birthday...and while we did not request anything special at all during our stay, they surprised my husband with birthday celebrations in our bungalow and also delighted us with a really nice beach dinner for our anniversary. Those unexpected personal touches, coupled with the incredible and very authentic hospitality of the staff, made this an experience that we would seek to repeat and highly recommend. A special shout-out to Clemente, Abih, Pedro, Nikki, John, Miguel, Johandrey...and all of the other kind staff that made this trip a memorable one. Cheers!
