The Beach, Location and People make the difference
This was our third visit to Secrets Aura. We stayed in room 1415, the only Preferred Ocean Front Swim-out room on the resort. The room (best location on the resort) could definitely use a décor and bathroom update (the original design had two more glass doors than presently exist in the bathroom); but the air ran great, the bed was comfortable, Norma from Housekeeping made sure our room was spotless every day and Carlos restocked our mini bar daily exactly as we requested. We enjoyed the swim-up pool right outside our side patio doors and walking just a few steps outside our beachfront patio and deck to the ocean. Xmena in Coco Cafe made great lattes day and night. Sergio, our server each day at the Preferred breakfast at Oceana learned our standard order quickly and even had mimosas sitting at our table before we were seated. Alejandro was our server at several lunches and dinners; he also learned quickly about our preferences and made sure we never had an empty wine glass. Gerardo, the Chef in the Bordeaux made some of the best food we had all week (we ate at the Bordeaux 3 of our 8 nights). Pedro Tuz, the Sommelier, made great suggestions and gave a smiling presence each night. Sofia, another Sommelier and events coordinator, made sure we were able to book every special event of interest and followed up to ensure we had a great time at each. Viridiana pulled double duty, serving at the Preferred Pool and gave us great service for a romantic dinner at the end of the Pier for our Anniversary. Arbey, the Entertainment team Director was all over the resort every day making sure everyone had a great time. He knew us by name and definitely elevated the fun of our vacation experience. Lesly, our UVC Concierge worked with the resort team to enhance our Anniversary experience with our door banners, special turndowns, roses and candles in our room. The resort overall is older and could really use a face-lift; there was painting and maintenance performed every day, so there is an effort being made. The food in general was average for an all-inclusive, with some really good. The Service is a mixed bag; the resort, especially in the restaurants, appears to be understaffed. However, the staff that is working busts their rears to give the best service possible and, though working LOTS of hours, they are always hustling and smiling. The beach is great, with lots of snorkeling sites right there. Excursions can pick you up right on the pier, which is ultra convenient. The Spa has been updated, and the massages are great. As a bonus, you get access to the pools and restaurants at the two sister resorts next door, Sunscape and Dreams. The scuba is great at Cozumel, the island has a ton of stuff to do, and Secrets is convenient to all of it. I do recommend going with a Preferred upgrade at this resort, it adds to your experience. Don't waste your money
Dirty, no entertainment, you have to hassle staff to do thier jobs, just horrible resort. Save your money and go elsewhere. I've been to multiple resorts and I am a UVC Member. I would not recommend this resort to anyone! The scenery is the only good thing about this place.

Great time at Secrets
I recently spent a week at Secrets Resort in mid-November, and it was an absolutely beautiful experience. The resort offers a wide range of activities, from exciting excursions to engaging daily on-site activities. One standout member of the entertainment team was Arbey Aguilar, who truly made my stay memorable. His energy and enthusiasm kept everyone engaged with a variety of activities, including workouts, volleyball, dancing, and even relaxing shows or bracelet-making sessions. Arbey's dedication to ensuring guests had fun was remarkable, and he significantly enhanced my overall experience. The views from the resort were breathtaking, and the beach provided an excellent opportunity for snorkeling. Additionally, the staff at Secrets Resort were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. In summary, you can't ask for a better combination of stunning views and exceptional service. My time at Secrets was truly unforgettable!

No Hard seltzers but the staff was lovely.
Arbey Aguilar was the best part of the visit! He sought our group out daily to be sure we were entertained and comfortable during our stay. Would recommend Secrets solely based on his customer service alone! Would have enjoyed a broader selection of alcohol though, hard seltzer drinkers beware, only beer, wine and liquor at the bars. We were disappointed in that.

Good place
Great resort as far as rooms and pools. Food selection is limited and the restaurants do not change menus. Small portions. Drinks were good just seemed watered down. Pools were fun with the slides down to the bar. Beach was rocky but nice. Water was super clear.
