Stay somewhere else.- read all the reviews. Read between the lines.
Just got back from a stay at Villa del Palmar — and I’ve got to say, the recent negative reviews are spot on. The resort looks nice, but the experience? Not so much. Customer service is seriously lacking. Some staff were great, but a few bad apples really spoiled the bunch — eye rolls, being ignored at the taco bar, and a dinner that took almost 3 hours because our server disappeared. You work hard for a vacation. It shouldn’t feel like more work when you get there. Stay somewhere else.

4 day getaway! Amazing!
We had an amazing four day last-minute getaway to Cabo and this resort did not disappoint. As timeshare owners we were only able to book two studios since they were the only rooms available at the time. When we arrived, we asked the manager Wendy if we can get a room together. She unexpectedly upgraded us to a two bedroom suite with a wraparound balcony and amazing views of the beach and pool. So grateful! The service was great at the pool as well as the front desk and transportation. Can’t wait to return again! One tip is, if you are planning on watching a show with the buffet dinner, I recommend getting there early since seats fill up. The Michael Jackson show was really good!

Mostly great!
The service at VDP was really great in all areas. The Elite concierge, housekeeping, restaurants. We received especially helpful service from Alberto and Antonio at the pool. Very helpful getting chairs and cabanas reserved, and checking in on us throughout our stay. A few gripes, the breakfast buffet area is showing a lot of wear and tear, getting quite rundown. Also, the chair reserving situation is very stressful, rules need to be enforced regarding how long people can reserve a chair. Kind of ruins a relaxing vacation to have to rush down to the pool to get a seat. Ok, one more thing. I understand the vendor situation on the beach and respect them doing their job. Please though, can someone remind them to leave the kids alone? I was traveling with my grandkids (8,6 & 4), who were bombarded several times as we tried to make our way to the shoreline to splash around. It was intimidating to them.

Unsatisfied customer due to water damage
We enjoyed the facility until we came back to our room the evening of April 1st and there was water everywhere coming from the bathroom. We were never told what happened and still have not heard back regarding reimbursement of my damaged items. We had service from a wonderful waitress in the sports bar. Her name was Angelica and she provided us the best service. She was friendly, polite and always delivered our food promptly and accurately. We went to the sports bar every night and only requested Angelica.
