BIG Resort, Huge swimming pools nice structure, RUDE SERVERS, POOR STAFF POOR ROOMS

Went for my birthday with my family wife, 2 children and we booked another room for my mother and aunt, the check in process was okay, the staff was not friendly, we had to take our luggage to the room since there was no one to help us, long walk to the tower, the resort has a nice structure, is huge however, swimming pools are huge, the food is okay, lots of restaurants and choices however not all are included, you have to be carefull otherwise you could be charge at check out time, staff are not friendly no customer service orented in comparison with other resorts, the service is very poor and even rude, the first night when we went for dinner there was a very long line out of the buffet, does not feel like being in a resort but seems like a community place for low income people, bunch of people, no controls, I did not like it at all and I will never go back, never able to go on the beach, the whole week was with RED FLAG and I asked other guest and same for previous week, very bad location in open sea not swimmible, Drinks are bad, food average, STAFF, server are the worst, I would choose other resort like Dreams, Riu, Melia, even Krystal much better

One of the lowest ranking All Inclusive. Not Inclusive nor exclusive. Screaming unhappy children and really drunk peopl

The buildings are beautiful with great fountains. Huge staff of people sitting at desks to sell you on upgrading restaurants, tours, rooms. Or to make sure you don’t accidentally walk into the VIP areas like the cigar bar. The service crew mostly stood around looking at phones or chatting with each other. The rooms were tiny and nicely furnished with thick towels and good amenities. The casino was nice but mostly vacant. The restaurants for the All Inclusive guests consisted of buffets or fast foods like pizza and burgers. These had limited hours and long lines to wait in the sun. Each line slowly doled out one item and you wait in another line for a drink etc. no room service. The few restaurants included had fair quality, ordinary selections. There were numerous shows and music available. The main ones were in the lobby where one could stand and try to watch presentations like fire dance or acrobats over huge potted plants surrounding the stage. The music was top notch and at least one was held in a cash bar. Although arrival transport was provided efficiently by the hotel the return that was promised was not provided and was misdirected several times that I used an Uber. On that note the concierge called a taxi that charged double but came down to just 150 overcharge for US cash. There are much better resorts than this one. According to TA reviews 95% are better.

    Literal poo in the hallway

Let me say this first up: If you want that 5 star “all inclusive” treatment, do NOT stay at the Oasis Grand Cancun. At check in we were not given any information about how to navigate the place or that half the restaurants were not actually “inclusive.” We were provided a QR code that didn’t work. WIFI only worked inside the building. The whole place is a giant maze that lacks any useful direction. The mediocre restaurants we (were) allowed to dine in were comparable to Village Inn here in the States, or Panda Express. No, I would even rate Panda Express as the more desirable food choice here. I understand now that tipping would have been appropriate at EVERY kiosk & restaurant in the resort. Some of the inclusive food stands were all the way on the opposite of the resort from where our room was. Most of the servers had a scowl and rightly so since we uncultured swine forgot to tip, and by “we” I mean ALL of the guests. (We did draw funds from the ATM so we could tip Ricardo at the MahiTako, where they served rice-a-roni. It would behoove the front desk to remind guests to tip at check in, for those of us who have never been here. Now for the room. It was dirty and wayyy outdated. The bathroom was deteriorated & felt dirty. (see pics, & the video of the roach crawling across the floor while I was on the toilet) I know that wasn’t the housekeeper’s fault and we left a tip anyway but gross. Now for the piles of human feces in the stone lined hallway, not kidding, a giant turd that some poor soul had dropped, mid morning, IN the hallway, and a few feet further, a second turd, that someone had stepped in and smeared a few designs further down. It was there in the heavily trafficked area for several hours and when it was finally cleaned up, it wasn’t really cleaned up because the stains were still there when we checked out the next day. And now for the beach. We were clearly placed in the old section of the hotel zone. Because the beach was a narrow strip of sand with a 2 to 3 foot cliff you had to climb down to get to the water. They don’t comb it at all as there were cigarette butts & trash everywhere. The pictures show the tops of people’s heads who were down by the water, illustrating my point. So if you can get past all of that you can enjoy a nice day there as long as you arrive at sunrise to stake your claim. Other than all of this, the birds on the property were beautiful, the koi pond was delightful, the pools looked pretty. Also, the presentation that we agreed to attend for the cheap price for the hotel, was a waste of an entire day. The company (Monster) that did this was separate from the hotel, but it’s sad that this hotel is affiliated with these people who say you have to attend a 90 minute presentation to get this deal, and if you don’t attend, they charge you double for your room. They wasted an entire day of our vacation with this bs presentation where they took us offsite 30 minutes and back to another resort where they aggressively try to push you into buying a condo for 4 hours. Anyway if you just want to party, eat cafeteria food and drink cheap liquor all day, Grand Oasis Cancun is the place for you. If you want peace & relaxation, and no feces lined hallways, go to Garza Blanca down the road. Thankfully you can order mj for delivery at the 420Cancun website .

Lousy food for 4 star promises

The resort is huge and well appointed But not being in the top Tier the 13 odd restaurant's were inaccessible you paid Additional Fees per person This amounted to what would be the cost of a full meal and not a supplemental Fee for a specialty a La Carte. So in the time I was there there were only two Buffet style options, Both serving the same Tasteless food. As well Each room had a safe However you needed to purchase a Lock-set for use $ 14USD per Day !!. The standard wyfi so weak about the only thing would work was Whats app texting I was not able to pass pictures, Listen to music or look at the internet. I ended up paying the roaming charges on my cell as this was cheaper then the Wyfi. None of these things were not explained at time of booking, Nor is this brand and location considered cheep. I was at an Iberostar prior to Xmas Same package 4 Star all inclusive and it was fantastic. I will not be returning
