Strap on your camera and stroll amidst the majestic remains of a 14^thcentury French Monastery. This beautiful piece of architecture was brought over from France to the United States, stone by stone, in the 1920s. Now, the remains sit on the top of a hill on Paradise Island.

Walk through the stone columns and pose for great pictures while overlooking Nassau Harbor, or take a romantic stroll at sunset as the warm yellow light turns this old French Monastery into a glowing scene, just like something out of a movie. This is one of the most popular places to watch the sunset after all.

If you're not the daring type when it comes to food or are just craving a taste of home, then don't worry. The Caribbean knows how to do American cuisine just fine. Head to the Green Parrot and order the “Works Burger,” a mile-high whopper with American and Swiss cheese melting on top of grilled onions and mushrooms. While your munching down, you'll love the views of a sparkling green pool and the open, ocean air all around you. If you’d prefer more local fare, get the cracked conch po-boy instead. Everything here is delish!

Flights land in Lynden Pindling International Airport (NAS), the largest airport in the Bahamas and gateway into the country.

All immigration forms are usually supplied by the airlines. When entering the Bahamas, visitors must complete and sign an immigration form. A portion of this card (returned to you by the immigration official clearing you for entrance) is required to exit the Bahamas. Nassau Paradise Island is one of the few Caribbean destinations that provides pre-clearance for U.S. Customs and Immigration services, allowing flights from Nassau Paradise Island to enter the United States as domestic flights and bypass the normal U.S. Customs and Immigration clearance encountered on most returns from an international destination.
