Good Resort with Young Kids
We visited the Ocean Coral and Turquesa with our daughter’s family which includes our 2 granddaughters ages 3 and 6 in late March. We decided not to go Privilege for this trip. The resort was perfect for travelling with the young kids as there’s lots for them to do and everything we needed was within short walking distance. We were given rooms located building 18 in between the non-activity regular pool and the Daisy Club (kids pool/water park area), which was prefect for us. Rooms were spacious and clean and had good storage. The rooms served us well and no complaints but they are starting to show their age and are in need of an upgrade. Overall, we found the food to be good and we went on the app at 8:00 am to make our a la carte reservations. We were able to get the reservations we wanted at a time that worked with young kids. The only restaurant that we couldn’t get was the Trattoria Italian and it only had later times available on the days it had any availability. We also tried Route 66, but we weren’t overly impressed with it as a dinner spot. It was very cold inside and portions were quite small. It would be fine as a late-night snack place though. We also didn’t try to get into the Mexican first-come, first-served a-la-carte as it just wasn’t that convenient with young kids. We enjoyed lunches at Villa Marina, which is a sit-down, order from a menu for lunch (beach attire is acceptable), the main buffet and even at the snack bar at the kid’s pool area which served burgers, hot dogs, chicken fingers and other snacks. Mike’s coffee shop was nice for specialty coffees and the ice cream parlour was a hit with the kids. The girls loved the kids Daisy Club and played in the pool and water park and participated in some of the activities at the kid’s club. The club itself is under renovation and they were using an ocean front suite near by during construction. It will be prefect when the actual club is back up and running. My only real disappointment were the cocktails and wine at the resort. We’ve been going to resorts for over 25 years, since our daughters were young children, and the cocktails here were probably the worst we’ve had. We knew we weren’t getting premium brand liquor because we weren’t Privilege but we’ve still have had decent cocktails at other resorts with “house” liquor. Also, we’ve stayed at a number of Spanish chains such as Iberostar, Barcelo, Catalonia, RIU, etc. and we’ve always had drinkable “house” wines. This was not the case here and we were surprised as there are so many basic, drinkable Spanish wines to choose from. Two other notes: We all really enjoyed the Crococun Zoo, which is just a short drive away, up the road. There is a lot of sargassum at this time of year in the Puerto Morelos area (we’ve stayed in the area 3 times in the last 4 years). It’s not just a problem at the resort and it is difficult for them to keep up with it. Overall, we really enjoyed the resort and would definitely return when travelling with young kids.

Thanks to everyone at El Beso
Thank you El Beso for a wonderful time! We couldn’t have asked for friendlier or more attentive staff. There was such a wide variety of food - loved the options (especially fish, ceviche, tinga, salsas, juices, crepes, & fruit) at the buffet (as well as Victor’s excellent service). The activities were fun (volleyball on beach, yoga with David, Spanish and water aerobics with Fabian…). We had a clean, spacious room with an ocean view, enjoyed all the pools, the beach, & the coffee shop. Loved our time there.

Satisfied guests
Excellent experience. Good food. Excellent staff and customer service. Stayed in one of the privilege rooms; very spacious and clean. Our butler Brandon Mireles was excellent, always happy to assist and always on top of our needs and requests. I highly recommend this hotel. All the staff from the front desk, room services, food services and other areas were great.

Great vacation
As a privilege guest Coral and Turquesa provides a quality, luxurious and romantic trip. We enjoyed all of the amenities the hotel had to offer and the activities (especially the yoga classes in the morning). The spa privilege experience was amazing. We loved using the sauna, steam room and aqua therapy. A big thank you to Emmanuelle, Miguel, and Eduardo at the privilege lounge for great dining and service our entire trip. Also to Ricardo and Angel at the beso pool. Thank you to our Butler Carlos, he made sure our stay was excellent! Thank you to Hector for helping us with our luggages and our transportation schedule. We will definitely be back soon!
