    Family Trip to Occidental at Xcaret

    We though the resort was amazing and had a great time while there with a large group of friends and family.

    Excellent stay - highly recommend!

    We had an incredible time at this hotel and cannot recommend it enough. The staff are all wonderful and cannot do enough for you. The rooms are good and the pools are great. The general surroundings as you walk around the resort are stunning. Birds, monkeys, deer and various other animals all over the place freely roaming around. It’s just amazing to be there. The buffet food was excellent. The oriental and fish restaurants also really stood out for us. Mexican and steak restaurants were okay but nothing special at all - we preferred the buffet food to be honest as there was so much choice and it all seemed fresh.

    "Delicious Food and Outstanding Service: My Visit to Hacienda"

    My experience at the Occidental hotel was truly enjoyable, especially during my visit to the Hacienda restaurant, where I savored delicious Mexican cuisine. I want to highlight the exceptional service provided by the waiter Asael, who was very kind, attentive, and professional. His knowledge of the menu and willingness to assist made our dinner even more pleasant. I would definitely recommend both the hotel and its restaurant to anyone looking for an authentic dining experience in a cozy atmosphere

    Occidental at Xcaret

    The property was in a beautiful jungle setting with many pools and two beach options. A lot of activities for kids and a nice quiet adult pool. Many animals on property.

    Good but be aware

    The place is nice, unfortunately some selling tactics might leave you with a bad taste, like pushing timeshare presentations on you. Also if you don't book directly with the hotel they will not offer a shuttle and the taxi is very expensive. The grounds are beautiful, jungle trails and wildlife. The local food is great especially seafood and what they have local. Don't even try the Italian restaurant just focus on local food. Service is average with some exceptions, not great but not bad either. The rooms feel outdated.
