    Celebrating 50 With Fun in Mexico

    You are treated like royalty from the time you arrive until the minute you leave. It is a beautiful, extremely relaxing resort. Bernice is the best concierge! She took care of everything for us and always with a smile. Angie was phenomenal at water aerobics. Lucy at the pool was top notch!! Sebastian made water cycling fun, and gave us great laughs at the pool as “the shot doctor.” The restaurants were extremely accommodating for our group of ten, and all had phenomenal service and delicious food. 10/10 recommend the relaxation massage and the salon services. We are already planning our next trip!!

    Spectacular time!

    We went as guest of members and we were instantly wowed! The resort is beautiful! Our trip was made so special by our butlers Israel and Roger! They were SPECTACULAR! Amazing service and attention to detail. They took what would have been a great trip and made it into an unforgettable experience! Anderson at the quiet pool made us awesome makers old fashions and he was super friendly! We had a great time and would definitely recommend Unico… make sure to get Israel and Roger!!

    Lively atmosphere!

    UNICO 2087 was incredible. It’s a lively atmosphere with so many things to do! Beach was covered in seaweed while we were there, but the pool entertainment kept us happy there. Food is quite good as well. We enjoyed the ala carte options most. Rosy was our host and she was so nice and attentive, seeking us out each day to say hi and ask if we needed anything.

    BEST VACATION EVER

    Had a beautiful experience from the moment we walked in. Our butlers Carlos and Edwardo were over the top making sure all our needs were met. The spa was amazing and would highly recommend. The food was above expectations and had to say that our Mexican dinners were the best. Reccomend the mayan coffee. The pools were very clean and our King suite over looking the ocean was spectacular. Louis was amazing with his knowledge in the mixology class along with the tequila class he put on. Entertainment was amazing. Can't wait to return. Dave and Jeannine

    Good not great...beware of the beach when windy

    Overall good, not great....and the beach was a massive let down. The hotel has some elements that are worthy of a solid 5 star international hotel, such as the restaurant choice and food quality, facilities available and general levels of service. However, we visited the first week in April and although we were advised this can be a windy time with a lot of seaweed washed onto the beach, we didn't expect it to be a 3ft high barrier between the (already narrow) sand and sea. Getting to the sea was impossible and the beach was deserted by guests and staff. What made made the situation worse was the fact that both neighbouring hotels either side had their beaches usable and inviting for guests by staff cleaning and removing the seaweed, so very poor in the Unico for not engaging in this....not having a usable beach really did spoil our holiday. Additional bug-bears; our room had a damp smell, but our daughters room didn't so we were just unlucky there! Also, there were "items" around the hotel that weren't cleaned up, such as a half full beer glass rested on the fire extinguisher near our room all week, other glasses and room service items seemed to sit outside room/corridor area for a longer than expected time, and each morning when we went to breakfast there were discarded towels noticeable around the pool, probably from late night swimmers, but you'd expect them to be cleared for mornings. Finally, it is a wedding hotel, and there were numerous ones whilst we stayed, all within and around the public areas, so you did fee a little awkward as you tried to get bar drinks in the evening as a casual holiday guest amongst the well heeled and wedding goers. Been to worse, but I'd say it manages to just nudge 5 star standard rather than being a glowing 5 star resort.
