Things to Know
- The resort is just five minutes from the airport. Breathe and you'll be on the beach.

- You've got four nosheries with scrumptious cuisine and settings.
- Dive into aqua aerobics for the exercise thing, or water polo for the competition thing.
- In addition to snorkeling, there's parasailing, motor boating, or Hobie catting (is that a word?).
- You can play shuffleboard and tennis, but if you want a smaller court, there's always ping-pong.
- There's volleyball to enjoy, but if you want near zero physical movement, there's Spanish lessons.

Mar 23, 2025Wonderful week at Meliá.
What a lovely week at Meliá! We booked last minute and were really pleasantly surprised at how great it was. Cozumel is a lovely island, and having been to Riviera Maya before, being here felt more laid-back and far less busy than Cancun etc. We’re Brits, living in Canada now. 40’s with a 6 year old. We didn’t want a huge ‘typical AI’ resort experience - but - did also want the convenience of that type of experience - which we weren’t sure we could find. However, Melia delivered. It never felt crowded, or too busy. We were always able to get beds on the beach or around the pool, and compared to a couple of neighbouring resorts we walked past, it just felt more refined here. All members of staff we met were lovely, incredibly helpful and professional. We upgraded to ‘The Level’ which I felt was worth it for the week, the main perks for me included having breakfast in the Fish House Restaurant space in the mornings, and more restaurant/bali bed bookings, plus the quieter beach area. Our concierge Alfonso was fantastic and super helpful, he really made us feel taken care of. Our 6 year old was very entertained by Susy, Abril and Iris at the kids club - they have endless patience and are such great fun! Thank you ladies! The staff at The Fish House must also get a special mention, for being so personable, professional and just all round amazing. Francisco is the head waiter and he truly felt like a friend by the end of the week. I feel it’s also worth mentioning that we met many other people from Canada, lots of whom had made a real point of choosing to “support our friends in Mexico“, which I was very proud to see! Finally, I would like to say I have the utmost respect for the people here, it must take such strength of character to continue to smile, be polite, and serve the small amount of obnoxious Americans who clearly support the current regime, and don’t see the irony in the fact that they are holidaying in Mexico.

Resort is beautiful and perfect for family. Resort is well maintained and so many activities for kids, adults and teens. Staff is amazing and great with kids. Definitely looking forward to visiting in the future. Thank you Melia Cozumel! I will remember you❤️❤️ ❤️

Everyone in the family enjoyed the snorkeling, pickleball, beach volleyball, kid's programs, beautiful beach. It is small place and easy to find each other. Very clean and food is all prepared with bottled water which is also provided in the rooms. Food is ok but we enjoyed our time there very much. It was our 2nd year there and will return! Especially Abril, in the kid's program, was fantastic!! Fantastic staff!!

Great family experience.
The resort was very nice with beautiful water and sand. Food was excellent out of buffet and A la cart restaurants. But non of it compares to the joy and the experience of being part of and playing near the kids pool and kids club with Abril and Iris. From the first day until the last we felt very welcome by these two ladies. They love there job and will excel. Our kids will remember this trip for a lifetime. Thanks Meliá and the team. Other honourable mentions: Philipe Eric Ian and Willian (bartenders). And Jorge as a server. Great skills and very welcoming group.

The front desk had wonderful, welcoming staff. They did everything thoroughly. The fine gentleman who took us to our room was kind and courteous. Everyone on staff was awesome! The house cleaners were prompt and thorough. When we needed information we got the help we needed. The entertainment was enjoyable. And the drinks were abundant and delicious!
