Things to Know

  • The resort is just five minutes from the airport. Breathe and you'll be on the beach.
  • Buy your transfers (from us) to and from the airport. It'll be one less thing to worry about.
  • There are five snazzy, jazzy bars and lounges where you chill or get wild or toggle between the two.
  • You've got four nosheries with scrumptious cuisine and settings.
  • Dive into aqua aerobics for the exercise thing, or water polo for the competition thing.
  • In addition to snorkeling, there's parasailing, motor boating, or Hobie catting (is that a word?).
  • You can play shuffleboard and tennis, but if you want a smaller court, there's always ping-pong.
  • There's volleyball to enjoy, but if you want near zero physical movement, there's Spanish lessons.

    Nice resort!

    We felt this resort was very nice & we would return. The staff was very friendly & always helpful! The rooms are decent & they were cleaned nicely each day. We enjoyed the pool, beach, bars, buffet, entertainment & relaxation!

    Just a wonderful vacation! Great staff! Facility cleanliness was better than most Canadian resorts. The buffet in particular was excellent with lots of options all very well prepared! Entertainment was a lot of fun!

    The Big Chill

    Our Melia Cozumel vacation could not have been more relaxing and enjoyable. This was our first of what we hope will be many stays at a Melia property. From the smiling greeting at arrival to our heartfelt good-byes at departure, staff treated us as family throughout our vacation. With too many activities from a paint ball and archery range to scuba diving and kayaking in the oven to beach volleyball and yoga to chose from, we never lacked for something to do on site. The food had great variety and the theme restaurants offered a smaller setting, upscale option to be explored. We even booked a few unique adventures directly through the resort. As importantly, we met many wonderful people staying at the resort who added to the delightful experience.

    GIVE THEM A TRY

    It really isn't the cleanest most well-kept resort. it does have a lot of damage everywhere in the smaller building. the upgraded sea view is very clean. the smaller building (ocean view/garden view) has a lot of kind of lazy repairs. the water has some seaweed making the water less pleasing. we still love this place. it should be a little cheaper. we go cause the food is good, the staff is top notch friendly. I can list several by name (Felipe, Jesus) the beach isn't packed. the set up is nice. they make good drinks they take care of you. we have met great people there. we are proudly going for the 3rd time in a row. we have accepted the resort as it is and we are booking again today with a huge group of family trusting all the new comers will love it too. give this place a try

    Bad food

    The food was pretty subpar. Nothing worse than a week of bad food, followed by terrible GI sickness the day I flew home. 2/10 would not recommend.
