Left lots to desire
The hotel is beautiful the grounds are well kept. However the rooms leave something to be desired need lots of maintenance mirror was cracked bathroom need to be replaced the jetted tub was cracked in two places. Caulking need to be re done. curtains need to be replaced. Late night restaurant need to provide plastic container if a guest want to eat in their room since there is no room service available. Housekeeping should make sure the bath soap container is full. A check list would help check mark all the areas that need to be addressed. The rooms need lots of maintenance. Bahia as a brand competes with lots of resorts in Jamaica and definitely need to keep up . We had a lively weekend however customer service especially front desk and the restaurant staff need customer service a smile will go a long way.

Be careful with exchange rate
Resort ok to good.good buffet and amenities nice , but ... Snorkel/ dive shop will rip you off when paying cash by inflating exchange rate ,,, pretty sure attendant is just pocketing some $ at the normal rate. Know the current conversion is rate and be careful with your hard earned $

Timeshare nightmare
The food was great. Service was slow. room was clean and comfortable. The worst part of the vacation was how aggressive the timeshare staff were. They asked us everyday to come to the free breakfast to hear about the timeshare. At one point they said " I thought that Canadians were nice" because we did not want to go. The resort could use updating. Pails and towels in the lobby to soak up the water coming in from the rain.

Fantastic, beautiful, truly amazing - don't hesitate to book!!
We booked Bahia for our wedding and it was just fantastic from start to finish! Could not fault this beautiful place. Wedding: Carlene, Natalya and their team were phenomenal. I'm an event manager that works in weddings myself so I understand first hand how demanding they can be and these guys were the best I've seen. Nothing was too much trouble, they went so above and beyond to make the day truly amazing. They are fun, energetic, exceptionally organized, on top of everything. I trusted them entirely. I was so pleased we booked this place to get married and our guests loved it too! Natalya was the first person I had contact with and she was great with communication over email, very quick to respond and with knowledgeable answers to all questions. She even rang us once to explain something in depth (calling from Jamaica to UK) - she was one of the main reasons we booked to get married here as our first impressions on communication were great. After booking we communicated with Natalya until a few weeks before the wedding (communication continued to be great throughout) then we were introduced to our wedding coordinator Carlene. What a woman! She just sorted everything and we could completely relax into the holiday and the wedding as she had everything under control before I even thought about it myself. I'm so thankful to you. These ladies and the whole events team are a real asset to this hotel. Meeting you all for the first time was lovely, you gave us such a warm welcome. Also a mention to Christopher who waited on the top table and Bar. You were great! Kept us topped up with wine, talked to my husband about football. You were really fun and entertaining. Photophers! We booked the photographers who are based at the hotel. And they were fantastic too! They know all the spots for great pictures around the hotel. We communicated with Ornella over email beforehand who was very attentive and knowledgeable. We met with her when we arrived at the hotel to go over a few things. Our photographer Adrian and videographer Famous did an amazing job, we were really happy with the end result. Alot of our guests commented how amazing the photos were and how they captured every part of the day. Hotel: Stunning setting, beautiful white beaches, plush bedrooms with fantastic views, all the amenities. Very clean, everywhere! Great activities available but not pressured into getting involved. We didn't have any issues with our room, everything worked fine. Just Perfection. 10/10. 5* Can't wait to come back! Staff: So friendly! And helpful, couldn't do enough for you. They work so hard in the Jamaican heat - some people need to show more respect to these guys as hospitality is a tough gig, just be patient they don't have 8 arms and legs! Maintenance staff - probably never get a mention but they do a great job! We saw them painting the bridges over the pool and it didn't even look like they needed doing.. just another example of them being so on top of everything. Food: Great food, lots of choice in the buffet they do themed nights there too like Chinese night etc. there is something for everyone here. The a la carte restaurants are fantastic. Staff are very well trained, gives a fine dining feel. Recommend you download the app to book restaurants but if you wait until you get there you can usually still get reservations just trickier at peak times. Summary: Don't hesitate. Book now! I can't understand some of the reviews I've read as we and the 55 guests we came with all had a fantastic time. Couldn't fault them on anything. I'm sure some people will have the odd bad experience but some of these reviews are being crazy picky and it scaremongers when this is a fantastic resort. We would go back in a heart beat, we were sad to leave. We met a few people from Canada and American who had come back many times.

Ada Batista is the best, She offers excellent service.
The hotel is highly recommended for a family stay. The rooms are in very good condition and have a beautiful view. The receptionists are very friendly and provide excellent service. The buffet has delicious pastries, and although the food is spicy due to local culture, it is very good. The best part was the service provided by Ada Batista.
