Never Again! El Cozumeleno is a disaster!
Terrible food. The same every day. Your options are only buffet and one restaurant with the same menu every 2 days! To get a dinner reservations you need to get up at 7aM and wait in line to get in for dinner. You come late there is no tables left...per their staff. In reality about half the tables are not occupied all the time. Their buffet is another story. They advertise 3 restaurants on site. People are nice but there is nothing they can do. It's all inclusive, but the alcohol they offer is the lowest quality. Wine undrinkable tasting like a vinegar, Rooms are old, outdated with any metal parts rusted. In first 5 days couldn't get to our room 11 times. They fixed / replaced the door lock 6 times and finally we had to move to a different room. They do try but the building is old. Needs a total remodel. Service people are super nice, but that doesn't make the place better. Don't forget that upon arrival you will pay $15 per day that no one talks about... Beach is nice but the is no crew cleaning it. To get a chair you again need to go there and "reserve" a chair before they are gone. About 7AM should do. Long story short, please help yourself and do not go there. I sure will not. Never again!

Don't judge the Island by 1 hotel
14 day vacation, our 1st room had mold in bathroom, stained bed sheets, the room stank. 2nd room was only slightly better. 2 restaurants, same food choices every day. Also very bland food. Most of the staff acted like they didn't want to be there. The drink choice was very limited and very sweet. However, snorkeling was fantastic, just bring your own gear.

Would never go back.
The resort is outdated. The food is terrible. The pools and the hot tub are not maintain. There is no night activity or entertainment. You have to take a taxi to town if you want good food. The resort as a lot of local during the weekend and they are given preference for food and drink. Many of the staff do not understand English.

Christmas vacation with my grandkids
The service is bad and the buffet is the same everyday. Gets old after a week. Menu was not available due to low season. I wonder when high season is as there no rooms available when my daughter tried to extend her stay. Probably will not return.

Worse resort ever
Worst resort I’ve stayed at. Outdated. Dirty. Sales manager refused to provide refund to us. We hated this resort. Nothing was good about this resort. Dirty beach. Hard bed. Broken lamp. Limited food and restaurants. Lobby looks like an old folks home.
