OnSite Dining
  • Dragonfly

Caribbean cuisine is a marvelous collection of ingredients, flavors, and textures. It begins with the simplicity of the aboriginal food. It is then is enhanced with the plants, seeds, and spices that originate from Africa, combined with those conveyed on sugar ships and sailing vessels from England, France, Spain, Holland, and Denmark and influenced by Asian flavors brought by indentured laborers from China and India.

  • Embers
Situated on our beautiful crescent-shaped beach, Embers is renowned for its island-casual atmosphere and fresh barbeque and grilled specialties. Its signature JA Wrap features a roti flatbread wrapped around shredded jerk chicken, rice, peas and veggies. Embers is also the setting for an elaborate Sunday brunch buffet. Just steps away, kids of all ages stop by Toppers Ice Cream Shack for ice cream, smoothies and homemade sorbets, which are complimentary for guests on the all-inclusive plan.
  • Jammers Restaurant & Bar
The resort now offers a total of 5 bars, 7 culinary experiences, and 220 units. Basking right at beachside, Jammer's Beach Bar & Grill offers all-day dining in a laid-back but lively atmosphere. Here, beachgoers can relax and chat in the shade, sipping ice-cold beers and cool tropical drinks on the sheltered deck. The casual setting offers a rather surprising backdrop for exquisite dishes such as Jammer's signature shrimp creole -- Chef Munn's Caribbean version of shrimp Provencal. The menu also features burgers, rotis (wraps), salads with fresh island ingredients, and a variety of other temptations.
  • Papa Don's Taverna
For scrumptious cuisine and delicious views of the Caribbean, the mountainside terrace of Papa Don's Taverna is without peer. An intimate Mediterranean-style taverna, open for dinner, Papa Don's has long been known for its pasta and pizza. Now Chef Munn has expanded the menu to encompass the cuisines of Greece and the surrounding region. Papa Don's exquisite signature dish, Moroccan Roasted Dorado, is served with a lime-honey-yogurt sauce, pomegranate syrup and couscous. Bring your zest for life and fine food and enjoy both to the fullest.
  • Upper Deck
In the evenings at Windjammer Landing's romantic Upper Deck restaurant, steak & seafood provide the mouthwatering theme. Exceptional meals in a beautiful multi-level setting, overlooking the beach and bay, are a favorite of guests who have an appetite for something special. Angus beef and the freshest fish and seafood are featured on an a la carte menu offering a choice of preparation method, sauces and accompaniments to suit your palate.

A Wonderful Week at Windjammer Landing!

We had a wonderful experience during our 7 night stay during the first week in January. We cannot say enough about the friendly and helpful service we received from the entire staff.! it was our first visit to St Lucia, I would go so far as to say these were the friendliest people we have ever encountered. The property was immaculate. It was peaceful and beautiful. We could reserve the same beach lounges for the entire week. Every evening there was live entertainment at the central pool area, and at Papa Don's restaurant. Excellent artists! It was never too loud. With 5 restaurants, pools and a beautiful beach, you have everything you need . The bay is calm and safe. I booked a snorkeling tour with the excursion office, and it was a fantastic day out! The hotel provided transportation to and from the dock. I give them 4 stars only because the resort is self contained, but there is no way to walk out to eat or shop. If you want to do that you have to take a cab to the closest town, Castries. The other thing is the water at the beach is cloudy. I was hoping to be able to snorkel off the beach. These are small issues! We did not choose all inclusive, just breakfast. Even after paying for our other meals and drinks, it still was less than it would have cost for all inclusive.

Back of house staff leave a lot to be desired

First off, front of house great. Staff warm and friendly and no issues. Let's talk back of house. First morning we reported that the patio doors would not close and there was a leak in the wash basin. Fully expected them to be dealt with straight away. Next day, nothing. Again reported. Between ourselves and the rep we reported the issues four times. On our penultimate day we gave up faced with such indifference. Seems customer safety and security is pretty way down the list at Windjammer.

    Wonderful hotel!

Wonderful property and lovely staff! We had a 3 bedroom gorgeous villa overlooking the front the resort. We absolutely loved our room at the top of the hill. The customer service was exceptional. From the moment we walked into the resort until we left on a boat to head to the airport; the service was great. We were welcomed with a cocktail upon our arrival and immediately taken to our room. Even the kids got welcome drinks! The resort was beautifully decorated for Christmas. Things we enjoyed and appreciated the most were the kids activities on the beach all day long. The water sports and climbing equipment were so much fun. The food was good; we really enjoyed the breakfast buffet. The concierge was attentive to my needs and booked dinner reservations for us off property. We will be back for sure!!

Great hotel, but Windjammer has ruined the beach

This review is not for the hotel....all rooms are lovely - most with ocean views...our suite was very spacious. There are 5 restaurants, all good, we especially liked the Indian food. Huge pool - great for kids. Unfortunately, Winjammer has ruined the beach...belonging to the people of St Lucia, corporate has decided to cover every square inch of this beach with deck chairs. It was not always like this, certainly not 2 years ago during our first stay, but someone in corporate decided that is was not necessary for anyone to actually see the beach, only that guests always have a chaise to lie on. How can this happen? When we were there, 80% of the chaises were not used...disappointing, is it even legal to do this?

    Excellent holiday at Windjammer Landing

It’s as good as ever to be back at Windjammer Landing. We were there in September 2024 and this is a much intended review I forgot to post. There are a whole host of positive changes this year which is good to report. There has been a lot of attention on the beach since we were here last year. The deck chairs have all been replaced with lovely metal frames with thick padded cushions. A dark blue dress towel is then placed on top with the Windjammer logo, plus you then have new blue and white towels to add. The quality of the dress towel and the normal towels is of a good thick quality and all fresh each morning from the new towel hut. The tables and sun loungers are washed down and cleaned every morning by Shevron keeping everything clean for the start of the day. The waiter service is fast and efficient with numerous beach waiters constantly offering Water, glass cleaning wipes menus and of course cocktails. Our personal thanks has to go to Keenan. He is definitely the hardest working person on the beach. He works tirelessly from start to finish always with a smile and keen to help. Haige and Junior have kept us well topped also, with newcomer ‘Stetch’ (6’ 8”!) All under the watchful eye of Liam who patrols the beach ensuring all is well. Getting around the resort which is on steep hills means the shuttle service runs 24hrs a day. Justin and Brent are two faces we recognised and now newcomer Ali. How any of the drivers get round the resort and pass each other on the narrow roads with such nimbleness is a mystery to all residents. Masala has really gone up a notch this year with an amazing Butter Chicken on the menu. Dragonfly menu also has sushi and there is a tapas menu. The food menus are really good this year I’m pleased to report. Dragonfly breakfast has a large choice available. Eggs any way, continental, and a full selection of fried breakfast. Francis and Mavis we there to greet us each morning with a smile and cheer. Pilates is available and even yoga Pilates in the swimming pool. Niana is excellent and has quite a following when her classes are being held. As always the water sports centre is exceptional. Gordon and his team, Denver, Shurundi, Anthony, Mario, and Ja Marl to name a few all work tirelessly. They deliver the best equipment, tuition and waterskiing anywhere in the Caribbean. Everything works and is clean and is well maintained. June still keeps a watchful eye over everything at Papa Don’s. There is always a great ambience with the best musicians in the resort playing there each night. Two stand out musicians are the young violin player Michael Fletcher and his rendition of ‘The Devil came to Georgia’ and Irving s Lockar. Irving is a consummate professional. A wide repertoire with varied styles from Nat King Cole to George Michael We have our flights booked already and are looking forward to returning in September again.
