Thanks Dreams Jade for making all of my dreams come true!
My first overall impression of the resort was very good. It kept getting better as our stay continue. We were there for 7 nights. The resort is kept very clean. The staff always seems to be do something whether it's cleaning the elevators, trimming trees, sweeping up etc. The choice of restaurants is very good and everyone should be able to find something to eat at the resort. The number of bars is adequate. Now for the stars of this resort; Angel the bar waiter around the pool provided very good service to us. Always making sure we didn't get thirsty. Danivet at the concierge desk was very helpful and did things for me with a smile on her face. She helped me organize a surprise for our friends who are celebrating their second wedding anniversary in May. As they live four hours away from us it was nice to surprise them and they enjoyed what they got. She also helped me to check in with Air Canada Vacations to be able to return home. Juan our waiter twice at the French restaurant who was excellent and had an amazing sense of humour which our party of four enjoyed! Miguel at Spice who not only put on an amazing cooking show but the food tasted very good as well. Adriana at the Spa who was very good at what she does. Very caring and helpful when I was trying to get off the table & also the chair when I got my toe nails painted. And last but my number one star was Saul part of the entertainment team. He asked my name once and from then on addressed me by name every time he saw me. He said numerous times if there was anything that I needed to let him know. He's a very sincere person. I was a participant in his aqua fit class and tried zumba for the first time. He's amazing instructor who also tries to make his classes fun. I'm hoping that all of my comments are passed along to every staff member that I've mentioned and their managers should be very proud to have them as employees. I'm sure all of the staff here are good but these are the ones that I really got to know. Muchas gracias!

Loved our stay!
We just came home from a four night stay at the Dreams Jade and loved everything about it! Carlos Lara, was amazing making us feel welcome, making our son's birthday extra special, and making sure we had everything we needed. The fire, circus, and Mayan show were awesome and the food was all delicious. I would highly recommend this property! The adult side pool and family side was a nice touch and dolphin attraction being walking distance was a cherry on top!

AVOID AVOID AVOID
Avoid this hotel. We spent nearly £5k for a much needed 2 week break in Dec 24. Within 24 hours we knew we had made a HUGE mistake booking here. Tui guests from the UK. This is most certainly NOT a 5 star Tui experience. Within 24 hours I approached the very unhelpful tui rep to see if we could move hotels. She was not helpful and did not care about our concerns in the slightest. This is not of a 5 star quality that is being advertised. The "speciality" restaurants were often closed and when we did eat there on a few occasions the food was horrendously bad. Cold food, no flavour or taste. Buffet was of a 2 star standard and dangerous for people with allergies. Steak and chicken stored next to raw fish. I advised staff I had a fish allergy and chicken was still being cooked on the same hotplate next to fish and using same utensils. I complained and was given a fish allergy card....made no difference at all. Fed up of the burger snack bar we stopped eating in the hotel and went into Puerto Morelos for proper food. Staff were miserable, unfriendly. We spent a fortune on tips but regretted it as the service stayed the same. Cocktails were mixed with awful fruit juices and not fresh fruit, you'd feel like you'd won the lotto if you could get a straw for any said cocktail. Apart from eating in the restaurants all drinks are served in awful plastic glasses, you can't even leave the privilege club with a glass it has to be plastic. Not a nice experience watching evening entertainment drinking your wine out of a plastic cup. Then there's the noise, music blaring all day and night. Nowhere to relax in peace and quiet. Dj sets in the main pool. The relax pool was for privilege guests only and it often got taken over by large groups of Americans wanting to party. And the noise continued with the large amount of Mexican guests there for weddings which were on consecutive nights over the weekend. Hard to get away from the noise. We ended up spending most of our time outside of the hotel. Puerto Morelos is lovely but a good 30 min walk and taxis are needed for night time. Rooms are tired. Stained bedding, broken iron. God help you if you have a Seaview near the main pool, equally so if your room is near where the weddings are as the music goes on until late at night. Overall it's the worst hotel we have stayed in and the most expensive holiday we have been on. Shame on Tui for sending guests here. I did document everything and we did get £1200 back in compensation. This hotel caters for guests here on a 3-4 night break that just want to get wasted and party. Its not for guests who want to relax and have a nice 2 week long break in the peace and quiet. I've stayed in quieter hotels in Cancun! I love Mexico but this place is awful. Lower your standards and do not expect "speciality" dining here

Not terrible, but wouldn’t go back.
Beautiful resort when you walk in. But if your room isn’t ready yet and you have to wait they’ll forget about you. Bartenders and pool bar staff were amazing! Can’t say that enough. The beach was not in great condition and they had to have a tractor going all day to clear the seaweed. Not really their fault but it did take away from things. Don’t let yourself get suckered into the 90 min presentation to get the 200$ USD for activities, it’s not worth it, they don’t listen and they won’t let you leave. It takes way longer than 2 hours and the room they take you into is freezing while it’s gorgeous outside. Dinner service was amazing, food was great and so was service. Buffet is good for breakfast and lunch, but if you upgrade to preferred and go to the la a carte for breakfast don’t expect good service. I enjoyed the food, but my husband did not. But the service was awful. The buffet staff are wonderful and always ready to give you a coffee refill. Pillows and bedding was surprisingly soft and comfy. I likely wouldn’t go back to this resort and I would second guess booking with a dreams resort again. Also, when we booked we were told we would receive a bottle of wine in our room after check in, that never happened and we sat waiting for the staff in the preferred club who were responsible for checking us in to let us know our room was ready forgot about us. Servers in the preferred lounge were also wonderful.
