Amazing Time at the Tamarijn
From check in to check out, our trip was truly amazing! Valerie at the front desk was so welcoming. Each server, bartender, housekeeping person we interacted with was just amazing and kind. We took two separate E-bike tours with Tour Guide Donnie and Tour Guide Joshua. They were so informative and just made the entire vibe so relaxing and fun. We can't wait to visit again!

Still a solid choice
This was our 2nd time at the Tamarijn in Aruba. (Last time was December 2021) We enjoyed some of the upgrades they made - specifically the new Club Margot restaurant (included in a pic below.) This was truly a new restaurant experience with a prefix menu that has something for everyone. While we missed the two restaurants and bar they removed to make room for Margot, I really loved the updated restaurant vibe. The service in this restaurant was top notch! Overall, the quality at the Tamarijn declined over the past 3 years. It seems the Divi management is focusing on other projects (like their new high rise on Palm Beach) and the Tamarijn has suffered. The rooms, especially bathrooms, are showing wear and tear. We also tried their new Pure Ocean restaurant at the Divi Phoenix. We had a nice dinner, but then had issues with our bill. We actually received two bills that did not match and it felt like we were over charged with all-inclusive fees and a "Grape Holding 35" fee. I asked our concierge about the fees (as we booked the dinner reservations through them) and the woman at the desk didn't care a bit. (We also had to wait for her to get back to her desk, then spend almost 5 minutes checking out her phone while my family just stood there. Not a great customer service experience.) She had us to go the front desk and the woman there said we would have to go back to Pure Ocean. (An expensive cab ride away.) I opted to email the Divi concierge but they never responded. Overall, this left a bad taste in our mouths about our experience. The beach at the Tamarijn has sadly experienced a lot of erosion. The team seems to be trying to limit future issues with sandbags. The beach is still beautiful, but there is significantly less to enjoy. We had an easy time of getting our beach chairs each day and you don't have to fight like at the hotels on Palm beach. (Loved this aspect!) We missed some of the fun activities from 2021 like their pool bingo. We were super happy to see the same woman there who does hair braiding! She is a treasure for my daughter and does an amazing job on her hair each time we come back. We loved the more chill and quiet aspects of the Tamarijn, but will be exploring options nearby for our next trip to Aruba.

Just got back, so it it is fresh in my mind
Outside of Day one and checking in it was decent. The ladies at the front desk were either mis informed or deceitful. Bugs me when they speak back and forth in a language that I cannot understand. Had a concern upon checking out the room we were assigned. WE paid for a Premium Room. Questioned them about the room. They assured us that we had the correct room. When we pushed them, they got defensive about the room. We Insisted on another room. As soon as we walked into the new accommodations, we knew they had out right lied to us. They had tried to give us a smaller room and tried to tell us we got what we paid for. Absolutely hate liars and deception. So, day one set a bad taste. It could only get better. It actually did. Staff was friendly, Location was very nice. NEW room was very comfortable, Food was for the most part ok, but there was enough variation that you could always find something decent to eat. Not much for quality entertainment but was better over at the Divi Resort. Knowing what I know, I would go back. Aruba is expensive and the Tamararjn is for an all-inclusive is worth it. As for the 2 women at the check in. WE were there for 10 days and I couldn't get them to make eye contact. C'est la vie

Customer service needs improvement
We were a group of 12 and this trip was booked a year ago. I had requested that we be next to a couple which had requested a first floor room. We received a room on the 2nd floor in another building. My husband had mobility issues so I requested a 1st floor room. I was told that the only room available was an upgraded room for an additional $40.00 a night. When we arrived in the room there was no difference in size, when questioned why we were charged I was told because it was “inches” bigger. We had two people in our group that had to go to the hospital with GI issues which one was admitted and the front desk did nothing to help getting rides to the hospital or suggestions. One member of our party called the front desk for the admitted guest stating the ER cut off her bracelet and was told don’t worry about it. On the day of check out she was charged $200.00 for the missing bracelet. The facility is beautiful and food was good. I will never return due to the Nickle and diming and lack of customer service.

Great beach, very relaxing!
Great location, close enough to airport and cruise ships, but not too close. Beach is beautiful, walk-out onto beach and chairs, easy walk to sand beach. Fantastic! And calm, if compared to High Rise area (crowded, young, party, noisy, fun, exciting). If looking for calm, relaxing vacation, the Tam can be beat (quieter than Divi). Food is good, Nelson at the Buffet is amazing (I miss him) and Julio at the Bar is great. Rooms are good, clean, comfortable. Building 1500/1600 are prime locations given beach location. Great drinks, heavy pours, top quality liquor. Wished the other resort pools and Beach Bar by activity centre allowed our All-Inclusive drink package to work. Food was good, though some appetizers were a hit-or-miss. Red Parrot was surprisingly not good, but loved Club Margot and Ginger - and Paparazzi had one of the best Osso Bucco Vitello I ever had!
